Opened the box everything worked used my MagnifyGlass to read instructions which were easy, now have it working with Alexa. All done by a 68 yr old man. 😀Yeoman biker

Brilliant. Can’t say more. Especially with the price of electric at the moment. Apart from the fact that I can lock my ‘adult’ kids out of being able to use the drier (when it’s not raining - I’m not that tight), I also measured usage for all my white goods, so know how much they’re costing me. I

Smart plug
Right out if the box it was a bit hard to configure. After playing with the app i was able to get all four plugs working without trouble.
Now my attempt to set up the app on my backup phone fails to execute startup even when I deleted the app and reloaded it. So now I'm not able to find info on weather the app will work in two phones to run the same group of plugs. Any ideas? Second phone is a iphone 6 and most apps still work on it but this one slams shut as soon as i start it upShow lessBad rating1

The bulbs work very well once you pair them. The paring process is very painful, I hope all smart bulbs aren’t that hard to pair. It makes me not want to buy more. But after you pair them they work really well so I would recommend these because of that. The app used to be great before they started adding a bunch of pop up ads. Since, then the app glitches a lot and does not work properly a lot of the time. I’ve had these bulbs for 2 years and have not had issues with the app until they started adding pop up ads in there. I have a group of light bulbs and sometimes it allows me to control all of the bulbs in that group and sometimes it makes me click on the group so that I can see the color wheel and then it lets me control them that way. It’s annoying because having the on and off button shortcut is very convenient. I’ve had to add my light bulbs back into a group for some reason and then the shortcut would work and then all of a sudden it stopped working again. A lot of glitches it’s annoying. If it isn’t resolved soon I would probably choose another smart bulb brand. 3 stars.Show lessMia_adams08

I do believe this app has come a long way in the last 1-2 years that I’ve been using it, however, it does still have some flaws, in my opinion.
1. I hate how now on my main page in the app, under my smart outlet controls it shows “Popular Recommendation”, in other words, suggested items for you that they also sell. I feel as though it just clutters up my app’s homepage, and I’m less likely to purchase additional items when constantly being shown to me, especially when I can’t find an option to turn that off, if I choose.
2. I hate how the app crashes quite often. I was in the app, controlling my smart plugs when a box popped up, asking me to review the app, which I did. Upon trying to write this review, the app crashed once again, and I had to go to the App Store, find the app, and finish my review this way instead, proving my point of the issue being very frustrating.
Other than these 2 issues, I really like the current version of this app. In the past, it was very glitchy, so I’m glad a lot of those problems have been fixed.Show lessInfinity102908

When I purchased the Gosund Lamp I thought it would be a smooth interface and present a good user experience. After installing the app I have found it to be a less than well thought out UI first and foremost the instructions did not include connecting to Google Home only Alexa. The second thing was the biggest issue the Home Screen is cluttered with over 8 products being advertised instead of it being a direct access point to the UI that controls the item it is connected to. These things may seem a little small but when you purchase an item you want it to be up and running without any unnecessary hassle or issues.Show lessHealthcare MA

I have the gosund plugs and I’ve just purchased the bedside lamp (just brought 1 as I wanted to see what they were like before I brought another)
I find all the products easy to set up
(NB: you must have 2.4mhz WiFi enabled, most modern WiFi routers will transmit both 2.4 & 5 just make sure the device you have the app running on is connected to or has access to the 2.4 of it will not work!!!)
Once you have your device(s) set up and named, “Alexa” will be able to ‘see’ them, from there you can use Alexa to control each device individually by name or set up a routine, for instance I have ‘Alexa, we’re going to bed’ routine which switches off all the lights and TV downstairs and turns the bedroom light on…. I also have one for Christmas to turn the lights off/on and have timers set in the plugs Etc. It all just works been very impressed by the customer service as well, quick to respond to emails and products brought via their App (you get special offers in the app) have shipped within the week of ordering.Show lessUK_FlipSide
Clearly many of these reviews are bogus and this company is a disappointment
I was an early adopter of Gosund products. The original app worked just fine. Each update seems to break the product more. Popup ads have ruined things. I finally have turned off all notifications and I’m turning off notifications for the app on my iphone’s settings. Many times my lights just randomly turn off. I regret buying these. I bought smart LEDs in part to conserve energy and reduce e-waste since they should have a pretty long life. Now, I’ll probably end up having to toss these because they’re almost non-functional.
If you read through the reviews, you see a common theme. There’s absolutely no way this app would earn 4.8 stars.Show lessAnon4132

Easy to use, great idea to control lights from your phone as i can turn them on/off from anywhere in the house!

Very Annoyed About Push Ads
Within the past several hours I’ve received 2 push notifications for product promotions. I didn’t bother reading either of them because I have all the smart home devices I want. A “50% off” sale isn’t going to convince me to buy a product I don’t need or want!
I went into the app settings and turned off the switch for push ads. Then I noticed the text that says turning off the ads only lasts for 1 week and then it turns itself back on. Why on earth would ANY company think this is a good idea?
I’m done with this company and will never recommend their products again. Feeling embarrassed for all the people who have already taken my recommendation.Show lessAshMore008
