Failed wifi and management
Vaultek, are you listening? Do you even care?!
I’m no longer connected to the RS500i via WiFi. I’ve exhausted troubleshooting to reconnect the safe, following all recommendations and tips like a soft reset, changing networks or advanced diagnostic mode. Short of an app update and improved procedure, looks like the only option is to hard reset the safe and lose all fingerprints for multiple people. Don’t intend to do that. Extremely disappointed. iPhone 15 Pro when reviewed.

Great safe but poor software support
After about an hour of troubleshooting I was able to get it to connect to WiFi. However your WiFi settings have to use WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) in order to stay connected. Using these settings, the safe works flawlessly to alert realtime, each time the safe is opened or alarmed. But if you switch to WPA2 or WPA3 WiFi settings, it will not function properly, which is concerning. Please update your software and support to your otherwise excellent products!

Works Fine. Needs More Frequent Updates.
App has basic functionality. I can monitor and configure my safes with it. Does not constantly disconnect from Wi-Fi for me (some other guy said he had that problem).
My only complaint is very little effort put in to update and improve the app. Missing some small features that aren’t “necessary” but would be “nice” like being able to choose the order in which your safes are displayed in the “select safe” list. Currently the order is random and cannot be changed.
Vaultek safes are awesome and I own three of them as well as two of their LifePods. I wish they would provide a similar caliber product in their app.

Does what it’s supposed to do
I’ve had this app for a while now and have had zero problems. This surprises me since I’ve read a lot of very bad reviews speaking about all kinds of problems with it.
It connected with my WiFi on the second attempt and has stayed connected. If anyone does anything with the safe the app lets me know about it. I think this app and the safe are a great combination and I’m very pleased. Either Vaultek did a lot of improvements to the app or I’m extremely fortunate.

Extremely poor WiFi connectivity
There needs to be a complete overhaul of the WiFi feature. The feature loses connectivity consistently and needs constant reset. I believe the feature needs a firmware upgrade to fix. Hopefully the company is working on it.

Do these people even try their own products? For as expensive as their products and safes are you’d think they’d put a serious effort in to their apps to make sure they were helpful.
This particular app, would not go past the “set your own pattern lock” page. So there it sat, nothing else, just a black screen with dots with NO other options to go forward OR back. Seriously?

Poor quality
Vaultek's software is very poor, the connection fails frequently, there is no point in paying a high price for their safe, there is not enough product quality to justify the high price, and some are just various gimmicks. If there is a company that makes good-looking smart tactical safes at a reasonable price, that company is not going to survive.

Garbage!!!!!
The app constantly crashes or disconnects from Wi-Fi. I’ve deleted an re-installed multiple times and now when I log try to log in it says loading for ever then says “you are disconnected, would you like to reconnect”. I click “yes” and see a green signal meter light up a few times then nothing over and over again. If you check “no” for reconnecting the app goes to loading again and ends up right back at the disconnected message. This app is absolute garbage. I wouldn’t refer these to an enemy
These safes are great looking and do what they’re supposed to do on the safe level. I have four different models that I’ve bought over the years. The newest one or two will be returned. ALWAYS have had an issue with the Wi-Fi/app. Unfortunately I was told by customer service when I could reach someone that they were working on it. As for a safe they are great. For what you pay because of the features they deserve a negative 5 star review at a minimum. I have to give them a positive 1 star to submit this. The only reason I gave a 1 star

Can’t connect safe to Wi-Fi
Unbelievable, I should have read these reviews before purchasing. Very upset safe does not work as advertised
