Hanging on Update

While trying to update the firmware on my Magnus , it hangs at “accessing control point”.
Any ideas?

App crashes

I can’t even connect to the speed/cadence sensor for my Fluid 2. I open the app to try and calibrate but it crashes a lot.

It’s not working

The app doesn’t see my H3 trainer, still trying to figure it out. Works for Zwift on the same phone the app is on...

Questionable calibration results?

I use a CycleOps Magnus trainer. The latest version of this app does not function as smoothly for calibration. I’ve had several calibration attempts fail and hang. (I was also listening to music using Bluetooth headphones connected to my iPhone at the same time. This may have been a factor.) Further, the power measurements after calibration are much higher than before. I have been hot calibrating each virtual ride, so something seems out of whack. I’m not sure the power measurements are trustworthy. To be clear, this behavior started occurring when Saris reduced the required calibration speed from 24 mph to 22. If I could revert to the previous app version I would do so immediately.

Response from developer

We did over a 100 tests with an M2 and a BMC TeamMachine with 700x25 tires and only measured a .1 second difference using the old method, the 24MPH spin down, and the 21MPH spindown. The easier variable to adjust is tire pressure and whether the trainer's knob was clicked into placed appropriately. If you still feel your power measurements are off, shoot us an email at developer@saris.com and we can see what's going on.

Calibration keeps cancelling.

Calibration keeps cancelling and frustrating work Fluid 2 Trainer ana Speed Sensor.

Response from developer

Hi, You don't need to calibrate Fluid 2's. The speed / cadence sensor and smart enabled trainers don't require calibration or firmware updates.

Calibration update

I updated my firmware for my m2 in December and used the calibration in this app and my ftp dropped 100w in zwift.

Thank you for pushing the calibration update because something was definitely wrong. Felt like riding in sludge. Now it's better. Will re check my FTP

Response from developer

Thanks! We just made the calibration easier and quicker so you should always be able to jump into a calibration and get it taken care of quickly.

Calibration.

This app makes it easier perform calibration.

Why did you break the Calibration?

Previous version was great. Tap on calibrate, speed up, coast, your done! Great!
Now, it doesn’t show speed, just prompts start slow and speed up to 24mph. For those of us on metric that’s 38.4kph. I have it up to 45kph (28mph) and it’s still prompting to get to 24. I’m now exhausted from trying four times to calibrate and not sure I have enough left to ride.
Please (please please) give me my old version that worked great back

Response from developer

Hi PhoenixDM, We took your feedback and automatically added the lower resistance calibration and required speed. Shoot us an email at developer@saris.com if you have any other questions or comments.

Can Calibrate Trainer.

My Saris trainer does not calibrate with this app. Very poor!

Response from developer

If you have a Magnus or Hammer, this app will calibrate your trainer. If you have a smart-enabled trainer, that means you only have a speed / cadence sensor which does not need calibration. If you continue to have issues calibrating, shoot us an email at developer@saris.com and we can help.

Calibration

This is the difficult part of using the Saris. Nearly impossible to get up to 24mph!! Would love that to be lowered. We’re not all serious racers!!

Response from developer

Have you tried going to Settings->Initial Low Wattage calibration? That should allow you to spin at 50 watts and generate 24MPH easier than spinning at 150 watts. If you can't, give us an email at developer@saris.com and we can help you out.
