I have the S7+. I’m glad I did my research and went with Roborock. The technology is superior to iRobot and the software is better as well. I’ve had no issues with WiFi connection, the real time bot tracking is great, and it does a great job mopping. There’re two issues I have:
1) if you have a shag carpet, you can’t vacuum over it because the side brush will get caught and hold the vacuum hostage. The very simple solution is add a feature into the app to stop using the side brush. Despite countless complaints by users, Roborock has been deaf to this issue.
2) if the vacuum goes out for cleaning for just 1 second and then I decide to cancel, it will auto empty into the dock. It’d be nice for Roborock to realize it was out for just a short period of time that it probably doesn’t need to empty into the dock.
If Roborock can just fix the side brush issue, I’d easily give this app a 5/5. It takes some time to learn all the features, but once you do, it’s very user friendly.Show lessSammmmamam
Stop making the app worse with updates
It used to be a 4.5 star but its now a 2 star since it works well but has MANY bugs.
Every time the app and firmware update for Roborock S6, the device seems to get stupider.
For instance, since the last update, the device does a cleaning cycle and goes back to dock and then it doesnt recognize the map when I start a new cycle.
Its like the device loses the map and loses positioning every time.
The audio files that signal commands like ‘make sure water tank is properly installed’ and ‘going back to the dock’ are clearly different tones. It sounds as if they’re either recorded from different people. Which is completely stupid. If you give a robot a voice, it should be the same voice for each command. Imagine you as me, how was your day and I answered ‘it was ok’ but then in a different tone I said ‘how was yours’, youd think I was crazy or something.
To the developer. Stop making the app worse after each update and keep the same voice tone for all voice commands or give the ability to remove audio commands.
Using this app every week for cleaning can be tedious since it changes so frequently, your cleaning routine may change each time you use it.
Imagine setting the robot on a daily cycle but some days the map isnt recognized and some times it works. With programmed robots, that shouldnt be the case, they should get better over time as they optimize to the environment.

Never Stays Connected to WIFI more than 2 or 3 days.
I’ve had the S5max for over a year now and it started losing the wifi signal with the first upgrade, then with every update and could not reconnect to wifi without going thru hoops and a lot of stupid stuff. I contact support, I have to say they are good at responding BUT NOTHING THEY SAY WORKS! I’ve removed the app, and device wait an hour sometime 24 hours, download everything again try to reconnect NOTHING. Everything in my house connected to WIFI stays connected but this thing. I’ve been trying for over a week THIS TIME
to get it reconnected and nothing. I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN. I’m sorry I really liked at the beginning but when they do firmware updates this vacuum can’t take and gets all hosed up. RGHT NOW I HAVE A MIND TO JUST THROW IN THE GARBAGE and I spent almost $600 to go thru this nightmare.Show lessSdcain
Good and Bad
Devs,
Just got my Roborock s7 and it works amazingly well! The mapping is wonderfully accurate, and the cleaning is spot on! It’s almost done charging, then wrapping the main floor, and there’s a few things I’d like to see changed. Charging at 20% is really annoying if there’s only a few minutes of cleaning left. PLEASE change this to be user editable. Even down to 10 percent would be wonderful, but 5 I think would be optimal. Please consider changing this.Show lesschriseivert
Partial remapping is not exist
After you map your floor and split this in different rooms, there is no option to remap your selected room again. I’ve just get a new furniture for my living room and it completely changed. I wanted to just remapping my living room but there is no such option. I had to remap entire floor again and split rooms and no-go zones again. I’m really surprised that this expensive Roborock S7 doesn’t have such a simple feature!!
Because I like to device in general I give a 3 star. I’d like to update it with 5 after partial mapping feature is added into the device.Show lessSolveThisNeedUpdate
Needs a homing beacon for the docking station
It has been fairly easy to use but when something goes wrong it’s not easily fixable. My issue has been that the docking station on the map for no reason at all gets moved to another room which would result in “Dock not found”. When that happens, one has to send the robot out for a full clean and hope it recognise where it is and even when it hits the docking station it still does not know that’s the docking station is because the map says it’s somewhere else. This happens daily wit my unit. I think it could easily be fix if user is able to manually change the location of the dock on the map to its correct position or the docking station should have some sort of homing beacon for the robot so it knows where to go to.Show lessChoo-choo10
Works great
I’ve had the Roborock S5 Max several months now and the app works great. I’ve been able to add rooms, split them, set no-go zones, etc., and it’s always done as instructed. It also tells you how long before you have to do any maintenance tasks on the vacuum parts, like wiping the sensors, which is super handy. My love for a product usually wears off by this time, but not for this vacuum. I cannot believe how much fur my black cat sheds. I used to think she hardly shed at all.Show lessCharlie's Owner
Good but limited
The app is generally well behaved and the functionality is quite rich but Siri automation is not finished! There seem to be commands in place to send the robot to individual rooms but the ability to name the actual room for it to work is nowhere to be found. Please fix this ASAP.A1ex4nder
My Roborock
This was a great purchase! The app is intuitive and has some nice features like Siri Shortcuts and multi level mapping. I took the robot out of the box, loaded the app and had it cleaning in 15 minutes. Also multi level mapping is great but you need to start a new map in the app then let it lose on each floor and once mapped you can name the floors and rooms. I find the app to be easy to use and it is nice to get stats like footage cleaned, battery life and current position on one screen. There are some opportunities with better graphics and the addition of an iPad app.

Game changer
I’ve had an S6 for 8-9 months or so and it’s been a treat to use. We have 3 cats, 1 dog and a parrot, so we have plenty of debris for this hungry robot. I used to have a deebot n79s and this this destroys it. It’s not even in the same ballpark. The s6 is perfectly dependable, the deebot was a gable every time I ran it as it got stuck on something 100% of the time. The s6 has never gotten stuck. Additionally, the app is amazing and they update and hone the functionality much more than the competition in my experience. The app itself is dependable and fully featured. They just added Siri short cuts and they worked easy peasy. Roborock, I’m am a fan.Show lessEmoslaughter
