Still don’t have it together in 2024

I wrote a review about this app two years ago and I didn’t think it was possible for it to actually get worse. Fast forward to today and you can’t even log into the app anymore. I save my credentials in keychain so I know it’s not me. Even when I go thru the process of “forgot password” and change it. The password I just made and was just confirmed still shows up as incorrect username/password. It’s wild to me how you just let stuff like this go on and heads are not rolling because it’s gotta be costing you some serious business. This is stuff most people figured out during the pandemic and there’s restaurants a lot smaller than Freddy’s absolutely slaying it in this space. I guess Freddy’s is doing well enough where addressing these issues and getting their app working isn’t a priority so me wasting time driving over there and spending money with them won’t be a priority for me.

Update: the app is definitely broken. If you go to Freddy’s online and use the same credentials the app won’t take, the actual website will log you in. Sadly you can’t access rewards as anything related to rewards shoots you over to the app. Again shocking we haven’t figured this out yet but until you do, best of luck!

Didn’t get free concrete when signing up app

This is wrong!!!!

Additional Beverage Please

We live in the upper Midwest, land of winter snow and ice. When our two new Freddy’s opened here several years ago, I was initially surprised that hot coffee wasn’t offered as a menu item. I often meet with my aviation business customers to catch up yet Freddy’s, in spite of good fast food options and the best custard available, does not offer coffee. I have made several past years requests to our Cedar Rapids Freddy’s franchise owners to raise the issue with the Wichita corporate offices, but we still don’t have coffee available and winter is not far off - again. PLEASE consider offering coffee and may I suggest them consulting The Roasterie in their Kansas City backyard for a Signature blend vs the pretty dull food service provider coffee options. Sincere thanks in advance for considering my request.

I am heartbroken that I don’t live closer to a Freddy’s

I lived in the south for a summer so naturally I went to Freddy’s every chance I got. And let me tell you, this app is a delight.
They give you free rewards just because, on top of the rewards you earn, and it’s joyous.
But now, I’m back on the West Coast, and the nearest Freddy’s is a 3 hour drive towards Nevada, leaving my heart broken as I receive countless emails of free rewards, and encouraging texts to come back. It feels like I’m seeing pictures of my dog on vacation, waiting for me to come home, pawing at the door.
I cannot wait to be reunited with Freddy’s as soon as I visit the Midwest this summer.
10/10 Rewards app, has never let me down.

Useless app

Worthless app for a number of reasons. 1. It doesn’t retain my credentials with Apple, so I have to forget my password every time. And apparently this app uses the same URL as Mad Greens, so it impacts my MG app. After multiple requests for a password reset, I can finally get in. But since I know there’s going to be a delay, I have to get this app “ready for use” at least 30 min prior to ordering. 2. I use many other restaurant apps, and the ordering on this one is just goofy. It doesn’t allow you to customize with all menu items such as pink lemonade or adding extra pickles to the sandwich.

It’s too difficult to redeem rewards. Last Saturday there was an onion ring reward. I added to the item to my cart and selected the reward, which is difficult to find by the reward by the way, yet the reward discount was not reflected on my final purchase. Fearing I would be charged for the item and have to call for an adjustment, I gave up and drove to the store to place my order.
There’s no option to order for drive through pickup. Only in store pickup.
Developer- There are MULTIPLE comments about these very issues. Many comments are more than a year old. Why haven’t you fixed them? Im a busy mom on the go, and this app’s lack of function is a large reason why I don’t frequent Freddy’s as often as I would. It’s too cumbersome of an app.

Slowest App I've used. Makes Burger King seem competent!

I don't often eat at Freddy's, but upon getting a notification of points expiring my shrewd sense opened the app. What happened next was comical. Select store. Check. Check deals and add a meal to the cart. Click add meal. Wait. Watch loading indicator on top of app and wait. Eventually app moves on to next screen. Then I go to add another meal. Once I pick the meal, it takes me back to the restaurant selection screen! Ooookay, so I pick my store AGAIN. Then I can add another order, or can I? Configure order, go to click the large button to add to cart, no visual response... So I do it again, now I see the visual click reaction like a wave from each side of the button. Still nothing changes. So I wait. I click it again, and NOW I get a visual effect, and it moves on! Go to the cart? There's three of the meals....

It's 2024, this "clicked it three times and got three orders" garbage is hot nonsense. Get with the programmatic times! What kind of garbage app is this? I got my deal, and THE FOOD AND THE STORE ARE AWESOME! But ╮(╯▽╰)╭ on that app garbage. Literally makes me wish I ordered using Burger King's app, and that had proudly held the "Trash App of the Century" label until this experience!

A review of the app, not the restaurant.

Most of these other reviews are rating the food, or service of the restaurant, which isn’t helpful to the developer at all. As someone who uses these types of apps to order food from various restaurants regularly, this one in is terrible. It makes you log in each time you use it, unlike some other apps. Logging in would normally not be a problem, but for some reason this Freddy’s app is particularly difficult to get in and start ordering. It feels like I’m logging into my bank account or something.

The app doesn’t allow you to save your log in info to Apple’s keychain, so you basically have to use the “forgot password” option every time. And of course, the reset password email just doesn’t show up within a reasonable amount of time. So I end up either ordering something simple, and spending about half as much as I would have through the app, or just going somewhere else.

If I choose ‘sign in with Apple’ everything works fine up to the point where I click continue, and nothing happens. I think there’s been 2 times in the past few years I’ve successfully placed an order through this app, both times I’ve had to create a completely new account. Why does it need my phone number and so much other irrelevant info? I’m just trying to buy a hamburger, not open a bank account.

Terrible app

The app is terrible. I used to be a “Freddys only” type of fast food guy. I even met Mr Freddy himself many years ago in a Wichita location. The app and a poor store experience has ruined my experience with Freddys and I won’t ever go back.

What the app did:
I filled my bag full of food while at the gas station and tried checking out. Each time I would get to the credit card screen the app would bug out. I finally got the screen where I could submit my CC details and the app went right back to the Home Screen. My bag was still full and I didn’t see an order confirmation so I thought the order didn’t go through. I then decided to head to the drive through and place my order since I was headed out on a road trip. Get to the window and I get a notification that my order is almost ready….. the one that never went through on the app. So at this time I was charged $40 at the drive through and another $40 in the app. I asked if they could cancel one of the orders and was told no. Then I leave with too much food for my family to eat and they didn’t get either order right. Ice creams too small, missing drinks, wrong food. $80 bucks down the drain to start a road trip and I decided it was a sign that I should stop eating at Freddys and stop fast food. Good bye forever Freddys.

Forced into Restaurant

Fast food apps are a wonderful convenience (especially for custom orders). However, Freddie’s forces mobile order pickup inside the restaurant. That is not convenient. The app could be designed to allow customers to use the drive thru lane for non-frozen meals while directing them inside for orders involving frozen treats. The majority of my orders are just hot meals, so I end up going to McDonalds, Popeyes, or chick-fil-a where they allow mobile order pickup in the drive thru lane and I don’t have to get out of the car. I wonder how much business Freddie’s is losing just because people aren’t dressed for a public appearance. Freddie’s needs to fix this (without explanations of WHY they do it). That or lose business.
