  • Love the content hate the app

    The app on all platforms, phone, Roku, ipad all are horrible to use. The app updates every few days it seems like but still has issues every time. The newest update that added the my stuff tab is a pain to use on my iPad because one page only displays in horizontal format and the next page can only display vertically so it’s constant flipping my iPad while finding what I want to watch. The recoding in my stuff don’t give the same information they used to do it’s difficult to figure out which episode is which. There is constant freezing, buffering, skipping of content. Not a fan of any of the apps but like the channel selection. Unsure if we will renew after our year is up due to the annoyance of the functionality.

  • Paying for free services ?!

    As my title reads, why are we forced to pay ? Really why!? I get that sometimes in rule areas that some or all programming may not be available. But still these are mainly free channels that use advertising to pay the cost. I view this service as taking advantage of the less fortunate to me it’s ridiculous paying anything for something that’s intended to be free.. plus I don’t care for the whole sign up process they take you off Apple iTunes and redirected you to the website ( I’m presuming this is to ensure that they get all the money and not pay Apple anything for your subscription fees) nonetheless it’s crappy signup process and a setup for easily forgetting your paying. Not worth it.

  • Focus more on app functionality

    I love this app and use it very often. However, I wish they would focus less on adding new channels and more on the functionality of the app. I don’t have an app that updates as often as this one does but none of the issues are ever resolved.
    The constant buffering, freezing, and app shut down are one thing and have been present since day one.
    But now, the app will not record everything I ask it to. I have the highest available plan so there shouldn’t be an issue with space. I have no clue what the issue is but it has been happening since the first of the year. I go through the 72 hour look back every few days and record every movie I want to, even those I have already recorded (because they may be about to fall off) or have seen many times. However when I go to My Recordings, only some of what I selected to record is actually available to watch. Why?? This was never an issue until the beginning of January or so and it is very frustrating.
    Please don’t add any more channels until the issues with the app have been addressed.

  • Please actually fix things when you update

    I love so much about Frndly, but as has been commented on in other reviews, please fix the search so we can search our recorded items specifically, or at least make them the first result in any search. Also, putting Hallmark Movies Now in a separate tab, as it’s a service with a separate fee, would greatly improve the search results. And how long can you advertise the Movies! channel without actually offering it? I do thank you for having the Dove channel offerings available for browsing, though.

  • Great app but can be so frustrating

    So many features make this app so frustrating..like it will not go back where you are you have to scroll numerous ways, the ability to search, etc. To me it was better when not so many channels. It’s especially a challenge to so many that are not use to having to take so many steps to get to where you want to be. Lots of positive as well but the little frustrating things can make you rethink some days.

  • Needs Picture in Picture feature

    EVERY other streaming app has the ability to minimize the app to the corner of your phone screen so that you don’t have to leave the show you’re watching in order to have phone functionality. When I asked app support about it, thinking that surely I was missing something, they told me they don’t offer that function for phone app use. I’m not a fan of having a paid subscription app hold my phone hostage just so I can use it. Please join the rest of the streaming world and fix this.

  • Love Friendly app

    Love all channels we get to watch and the capability of recording shows…. Also really like the capability to START OVER a show!!!!! That is the best because sometimes I miss out right on the front end…
    One thing though… the app says $6.99 a month, but I am being charged a little over $9 a month…. Not sure why???

  • Fix recording feature

    After using many different streaming services to get the hallmark channels, Frndly has become my go to. Great price for a great list of channels. However, over the last few weeks, the recording feature has been spotty on my iPad. I can only tap to record a few movies before receiving an error message. I have to close out the app and wait a period of time before maybe being able to set record for a few more. With this error, I’m also unable to get any information about the movie that is playing. Please fix!

  • Love Recording & Watching

    I love this and use this app for Hallmark, Up TV, Pixl, GAC, etc, and some History Channel. l love being record & watch later. I don’t use the search to find movies since I’m watching what I recorded. I have scrolled through the On Demand to find something to watch when there’s less in ‘My Recordings’ (like in the summertime). I usually am able to find something new or rewatch a movie I like.

  • Was great until the search function stopped working

    Please fix the search function! I used to be able to search all the movies I wanted to see at the beginning of the season and easily find them and record them even weeks or months out. Now I have to use the hallmark app to see when a movie is next showing and then manually search through (if it’s airing in the current two weeks) and record it. FrndlyTV I’d spend more time using your app and watching your content if you improved your search function for better UX! It’s very frustrating for users.
