Love Frndly TV but App has Issues
I absolutely love Frndly TV but as others have said the app is super glitchy - especially after this last update. After a couple of minutes browsing I keep getting a 404 error. When this happens even restarting my device does not fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and a couple of minutes later the error again pops up and there is no way around it. Went backwards
No longer have voice search in their app with Apple TV. 2022 and you removed a basic function. Lot of movies on hallmark and others just can’t find at all. Search is horrible, guide is just gotten worse. Used the app many times over the years and it’s now the worse it’s been. Keeps getting worse instead of better. Not hard to provide good service especially since you’ve raised prices. Issues with stalling and missing parts of a movie. High speed internet and their service still falls flat.Show lessBooknoir
Needs improvement, but love it
I have used this app for 3 or 4 years, I believe. While it is a great app and I feel it functions fairly well, some fixes would make it a 5 star review. Biggest complaint.... I use the app on my iPad and I can pause the movie using my Bluetooth earbud, but I can’t play it. This is frustrating if I am not next to my iPad and I want to start playing the movie/show again. Also, an app for the kindle fire would be amazing!!!
I love the 72 hour look back and use it all the time. I love being able to watch all my Hallmark movies, and now so much more for 8.00 a month.Show lessmoangelwings
Used to be great - Latest update helped but not enough
This is a great service and used to work really well. There are now extra steps to do what you want but most importantly on the AppleTV it doesn’t work well anymore. Lots of crashes, waiting for things to load or not loading at all. Having to exit the app and resume a movie after forwarding is less than optimal. It just keeps getting worse. When first launched it worked amazing! Please fix!
Update: The latest version helped but not quite enough. App is much quicker and more responsive but fast forwarding is still very laggy and often requires leaving the movie and coming back in.Show lessAllgoodmel
Black bars on side and top of devices
I love the frndly app! Since I got rid of cable tv this is the best app to be able to catch hallmark movies and can watch it on all of my handheld devices anywhere using my iPad and iPhone. The major bummer is when I watch on my iPad and iPhone, there are black bars on the sides of the screen or the top of the screen. There is no option to expand and enlarge the size of the video to fill the entire screen. When I watch frndly on my flat screen tv, there are no black bars, the film and picture take up the entire screen. Other streaming services offer the option to expand and enlarge the video to fill up the entire screen, so I’m not sure why frndly doesn’t. I really hope frndly is able to add that feature in so the picture quality fills up 100% of the screen, with no black bars on the top or sides of the screen.Show lessJemlvr
Recent update crashes
Love the selection for the price and could stream flawlessly UNTIL the recent update! sometimes it’s 30 minutes into an hour program or even as little as 5 minutes there is a flash on the screen and app shuts down, when restarting you have to start over even though the resume option is there it starts at the very beginning. After 3 attempts on the same show once on a different day I gave up! Very frustrating. I will cancel if not corrected soon!!Show lesssitkapinehaven
Terrible new update
I love being able to stream GAC, UPtv and hallmark. Unfortunately the guide is not great. Search function doesn’t work as well and you are not able to record only new episodes of shows. When subscribed to a season, all of the reruns record. Very frustrating. I was able to deal with it as I cannot find another service with these channels. But now the shows don’t sort properly. If you start a movie and not finish it, it doesn’t go into “continue watching “ anymore. It doesn’t save where you were in the movie but restarts from the beginning. New movies are no longer in “just recorded” section. It is very aggravating. Please fix it!Show lessspin0057
Almost perfect
Frndly TV is excellent but the app could use improvements. We should be able to see the image when fast forwarding, movies we already watched should be marked, app seems pretty slow, and sometimes where we left off isn’t saved. Also, now with so many channels it would be nice if we could sort the channels manually or filter some out in the app and website. Finally, PLEASE add picture-in-picture.Show lessThinker9999
The weather channel Devotie
I love the weather channel and something has changed recently and I want it to go back to the way it was. Please help, and change this back: previously, you could use the slider bar at the bottom to move through or move back to see certain parts of the show and now that is not possible. I understand that you have to watch the commercials but if I want to slide back to the beginning of the segment or slide forward to my area of the country, it is no longer possible. It used to be possible so it should be able to be possible now. I repeat, please make it possible to use the slider bar at the bottom to go back to the beginning or forward to the end.Show lesscajun-south
I almost spent $35 a month just to watch lifetime movies until I found this app
I’m weirdly very productive with Lifetime movies playing in the background (shoutout to my ADHD) and they don’t have an app that lets you live stream all day. Although you can get Lifetime Movie Club, I like streaming their movies so they come on and I don’t have to spend time picking the movie, I just have whatever is live on lifetime or LMN on. I was about to pay $35 a month for Sling, just to watch these two channels when I saw the add for FrndlyTV. The UI is not the most advanced, but it does what it’s supposed to do as a live streaming platform. The only feature they should add next is the ability for PiP on an iPad, so I can play it in the background when I use my iPad as a second screen.
