Feature Enhancement Request
While this app has a nice selection of programming and I’m a paid subscriber, I’d like to request a feature enhancement. Currently you’re able to record various programs, however, the RECORD feature DOES NOT give you the option to record NEW SHOWS ONLY. It only allows you to record all series which include repeats, which makes it a hassle to go back and find the newest show. It also wastes recording space if a subscriber wants to record NEW SHOWS only and not REPEATS. Can you fix this anytime soon?Show lessGreginparadise
Why does nothing work?
I was intrigued by the streaming service, but I'm unable to even use the service at all because nothing works. The Roku app doesn't open the channels, or when it tries to it tells me it's only available with a subscription. I signed out and signed back in, but that did nothing. Then I try to go online, but the website is slow to do anything and of course the option to change or cancel your plan does not work. I try another browser, same thing. I try the iPad app, same thing. I try the iphone app, same thing. Would not recommend service at all.Show lessHamptonian18
Recent Issues
I first have to say I actually do enjoy this app and I’ve had it for a very long time. But after the recent update a month ago I’ve noticed that the app glitches quite frequently if a commercial plays it will often freeze and not return to live TV I’m not sure if this has to do with some of the bug fixes that were made with this recent update but it’s definitely a frustrating situation.Show lessCastleZDawg
5 Stars but
still room for improvement! I absolutely love the FrndlyTV service but the app definitely has room for improvement. Please please please make it work with ‘picture in picture’ the way other streaming apps do. I love being able to multitask on my Apple devices. I don’t want to have to close out of the app to answer a text because then when I go back in, half the time it hasn’t saved my spot in the recorded movie I’m watching. Would loooove the multitasking feature and would use the app a lot more if it had that!Show lessABurns38
Please add a way to delete shows on continue watching
The app is great for affordability, the channels and recording. The problem is it never (or rarely) keeps your place while watching a movie or knows when you are finished watching them. I have about 8 movies I already watched ALL of and it still stays in my continue watching. I go in and try to force it to the end hoping it will disappear but only does about 50% of the time. Maybe you can add an option to delete from continue watching stream if you can’t fix the issue of it knowing when you are done.
It would also be great if it would stay at the spot where I actually watched last. It rarely does that as well. I am constantly fast forwarding to find where I was. I know this is a low cost bare bones service but it would be great if the features you offer work well since there aren’t many of them and we do still pay for it. A Fave but still a work in progress…
**Edited to add that now I can’t go from one episode to the next without the app crashing. 🙈 Whether I let the clock run down & it attempts to go to the next episode automatically or if I manually choose next episode, the app crashes & goes to my Apple TV Home Screen.
Frndly is my favorite streaming service, by far, but I have a couple of suggestions: (1.) PLEASE ADD A FAVORITES OPTION! For the most part I record what I am interested in, but for those movies that I am not given the option to record, it would be amazing if I could “heart” it so that I don’t have to search for it later. (Lawd knows my mom brain probably won’t remember the title) (2.) When searching for a title, can you just show the results & not the results divided into 3 sections (that don’t really make much sense anyway)?Show lessSocarroll
Great Service - App Improvements Needed
I love the service. I think it’s a very reasonably priced to be able to watch live TV, on demand movies and shows, as well as record past and current programming. However, the app it’s self is lacking. The search feature is horrible. Sometimes it’ll show something you’re looking for while other times it won’t even if it is on the schedule. And when searching for something the items that come up sometimes are not even related. It doesn’t hold the spot on your movie very well when using on your phone. So I can be very frustrating to have to continue to go back and find the spot you left off in the movie/show. Additionally, there is only an option to record new AND rerun shows. Love the channels, hate the loading
I absolutely love the channel line up. There is something for everyone and at a very reasonable price. My only problem is that it seems the app spends more time “loading” than playing. I do not have this issue with any other apps. I have tried updating the app, updating my Roku, and even restarting my Roku. I don’t have the same trouble with any other app. What makes the constant “loading” problem so bad Is that I would only watch this app because the channels are so awesome. Necessary Evil
This app is absolute trash but I keep it because it’s the only way to watch all of the Hallmark movies I want to watch. The playback controls are limited to 10 seconds to fast forward or rewind when the standard for other apps is to fast forward by 30 seconds. The closed captioning has never worked and we like to use them in our family. It defeats the purpose of having the control button if it doesn’t actually work. :| The app constantly restarts the program if it gets paused and there is a glitch that zooms in movies around the hour and a half mark. FrndlyTV needs to revamp the app if they truly want to keep people or bring new people in.Show lessGoldnprncess
Losing the friendly part
I originally started this subscription to give my daughter clean friendly channels that she didn’t have to scroll through trash or parental guards. Loved the channels and didn’t begrudge paying. But then they started adding channels with shows that’s are no longer kid friendly. So here we go again. Then because they add these channels we should pay a little extra. I don't want those channels it was why I switched off satellite. Please let us opt out of some add ons!! Other than that I love friendly tv but if it continues I’m saying goodbye. 🤦🏻♀️Show lessseeActs238
