  • Great if it works

Logs me out on my Apple Watch (I’ve had to log back in anywhere from daily to several times a day Takes days to erase deleted activities/routines, Doesn’t always send notifications, Doesn’t sync well between iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch I’ve seen people claim you can use a website version on a pc and you really can’t. There’s virtually no features/functionality on the website. Also don’t bother syncing your calendar with it, it will default to the calendar so if you have any all day events in your calendar or have a routine or activity you do during an event, those activities either won’t start or won’t send you notifications.

When it works it’s amazing. But this is the glitchiest, buggiest app I’ve EVER used

  • Improving, but there are still problems

I fully acknowledge that this app is a work in progress, and is getting a little better with every update. But there’s still a perpetual problem where as soon as Tiimo is updated, a new feature is rolled out, bugs are fixed and glitches are patched, there is always another problem or new bugs that come up when it seems to be improving. It’s like one step forward and two steps back. I don’t quite understand that because the concept and design of this app seems pretty simple (although I’m sure there’s more to it under the surface).

I don’t know, I’m just trying to get through my days, get stuff done and not let ADHD (and what I suspect is ASD) get the best of me. This app helps some, but the benefits kind of become redundant when I have to manually go in and correct things because little bugs in the program throw off my routine. The one I’m the most frustrated with right now is the fact that Tiimo likes to log me out of the app on my Apple Watch randomly - it almost always happens overnight, and it sometimes when I’m in the middle of an active routine, and I don’t realize until more time than I had intended to spend on an activity has passed and then “whoops! I have to enter my log-in information again.”

If you have ADHD or are on the autism spectrum, you know how frustrating and discouraging interruptions to routine can be, especially in their early stages before you’re fully comfortable with them.

Hi, CalvinationStation! Thanks for your review. Please know that we understand your frustration, it is not our intention to develop new features and then be plagued by some bugs. Our intention is for the app to run as smoothly as possible so that it can be a helpful tool that users also enjoy using. The team is already aware of the Apple Watch issue and there is an update on the way which is going to fix this issue (being released very soon). We truly apologise for all the inconvenience this has caused you. Warmly, Team Tiimo
  • Love this app!

I’m autistic, and this app has been so great in helping me to nail down a consistent schedule for myself and remind myself about thing I would normally forget. The only thing is that I wish it had an offline mode. Like if I could download my schedule for the day, and I would get my notifications whether my phone has service or not. I live in a rural area, and I only have service in my bedroom, so if I’m not in there, I don’t get my Tiimo notifications. And I have a really hard time remembering to go back to my room all the time to check my schedule.

  • Super helpful but also glitchy!

I love how customizable this app is without being cluttered or hard to understand. It does drive me crazy how glitchy and weird the calendar when scheduling a new activity is—especially if it repeats. I end up with activities on days when I did not set them, the calendar always seems to assume I want to schedule something on a Monday even if I am “on” the day I actually want, and it’s hard to comb through and fix all these errors because there’s no option to see them all laid out. So not very user friendly but conceptually beautiful and has helped me and my poor little ADHD brain out significantly!

  • The best

as an autistic person with chronic illness, i need reminders to properly take care of myself and function in the best way i can. i’ve tried an incredible amount of apps & methods to make this work but tiimo is by far the most accessible, including the price, which is about what i would spend on a good planner for the year. the app layout is very clean and not overwhelming which i find essential. i love the way you can add emojis & colors for the task icons, though i wish there was a way to customize the theme color. i also find it extremely helpful that you can connect to your calendar app. i use this feature for my work schedule & appointments.

i would fully recommend tiimo to anyone who needs a visual idea of their day and/or anyone who relies on reminders to get through each day. this is a great app to support and utilize with great people behind it listening & improving

  • Love this app as an Autie!

Hello! I’m Autistic and possibly dyslexic and this app has changed my life :). I’ve just started college and am so productive everyday with this app, so thank you! I have 2 suggestions that I think would make this app even better.

-allowing us to create Tiimo activities that aren’t in recently used (my recently used gets so cluttered, and I’m usually doing the same classes everyday so this would be more convenient for making my schedule)

    - allow us to put timers into the checklist on the activity or routine (optional). This is helpful for like the morning rounding where we brush our teeth because although there’s a countdown it’s for everything on the checklist so it’d be great if she can have mini timers in the checklist :).

  • Great app, hoping for small changes

I don’t have adhd or autism but this app has helped me to reflect and improve on my routines and systems a lot. It’s one of the best calendar / routine apps since Google Calendar , which is saying a lot bc GCal was the standard for years and over these past few months I’ve already fallen in love with tiimos capabilities. Only thing is I am unable to use the new Widget functionality on the app which I was looking forward to. I have the latest tiimo version so I’m not sure why it’s not available for my iPhone? But that brings me to my suggestions:

What would really make this app spectacular is if it had 2-way sync with Apple Calendar /Google Calendar and if there was a way to block other apps while using this app.
2-way sync is important to me because i like my events and routines to be backed in my base calendar which is Google Calendar. And having to switch between the two constantly can be frustrating. Also, my second point kind of relates to the widget feature, as I would like to be focused on only the tiimo activity that’s currently scheduled and not be distracted, but having to open the app each time defeats that purpose. Nevertheless I’m excited for what’s to come feature wise with this app as its grown so much, if these features could also be taken into consideration I’d appreciate

  • Need no duration option

Three stars until there’s an option for no duration with optional start time and no end time. While I talk to my best friend every day, the end time (and sometimes start time) happens when it happens for as long as we decide on any given time. Maybe that’s 4 hours, maybe it’s 6. Otherwise it would be an easy 4.5, possibly 5 star app.

Edit: The calendar weeks are wrong. Tomorrow starts week 32, but you have 33. Also, not everyone starts their week on Sunday, yet you cannot change that and you certainly don’t use phone preferences for it.

Edit 2: Marking everything as being done when scheduled is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. Just because I plan something at a time doesn’t mean I’ll be able to do it then. This makes this app utterly useless. Changing my rating to one star for this alone.

  • A great concept that needs work

Tiimo has a lot of potential, but falls a bit short in usability for now. Setting up your routine for the day is somewhat clunky, but no doubt improves with practice and customization. I’ve found the app somewhat buggy.

Things have disappeared from my schedule. Adding activities and lists is a bit difficult. The keyboard covers the part of the screen where you’re typing the next list item, and emojis/symbols don’t consistently load. Though I have notifications turned on, Tiimo has not notified me of anything. This makes it difficult to see how this is actually useful for time management. For example, I was using the pomodoro routine today, and nearly worked through a break I’d been waiting for. Tiimo wouldn’t allow me to adjust the break time, instead either pushing ahead or requiring me to pause the whole routine.

I feel like this app could be very useful, but with the existing bugs, I don’t find it worth the subscription price. I’ll keep checking in as it progresses. For now, my search for the ideal ADHD app continues.

Hi Seakraken. I am sorry to hear about your experience. I am sorry to hear that you found adding an activity, checklists and setting up a routine cumbersome. We actually have a blogpost that explains how to get started with Tiimo, which includes the basics on how to create an activity and checklists and how to create routines at this link: https://www.tiimoapp.com/blog/get-your-best-start-with-tiimo/.  It is strange to hear that your keyboard covered the screen when you were typing checklist items and that you were not able to load emojis- there have not been reports about these two issues from other users. It would have been helpful if you had contacted our customer support when these happened to you in order to get assistance. For notifications, you have to enable your notifications in order to receive notifications, both in your phone settings and in Tiimo. And if you are still not able to receive notifications, customer support is always available to help. It is true that it is currently not possible to edit routines, hence why you were not able to adjust your break time. This feature will be coming in the nearby future. I hope you will contact our customer support and tell them about the bugs you are experiencing/experienced, so that they can assist you. I hope you give Tiimo another try in the future! Warmly, Team Tiimo
  • Decent, but mobile interface needs work.

Nice when it works. I have issues with it not saving my changes. Really not worth $30 when I have to save a single change 5-10 times before it actually saves. Writing it down in my calendar would be less frustrating and only cost $1 depending on where I buy the planner from. Also have to restart the app after restarting my phone or I won’t get any notifications. I generally don’t update anything because the interface is a pain, so there’s a general outline of my day but all the times are like three months outdated.

It does a good enough job though. I still use it… Don’t really have any better options.
