My calibrate experience

I am writing this review in response to my experience of working with my coach, Lori Brooks. When I first joined Calibrate, I was concerned about my health, and more importantly, how to holistically get to a place where I could assess my lab work and weight and know "what to do" with that information. Lori has been a phenomenal coach and invaluable in my health journey. Not only did she encourage me to take the first difficult step (which for me was getting on the scale), but once we had that data she tirelessly worked to help me make small changes that would result in weight loss. This included but was not limited to providing healthy recipes and alternatives to recipes that I LOVE, but also applauding me for reaching my small goals (drinking water, daily yoga practice etc.). Without the support and affirming words of Lori, my experience with Calibrate would definitely not be as impactful. If you join Calibrate, I highly recommend that if given the opportunity, you work with her as your coach. She truly is a godsend.

Coach Aliyah is amazing!

So thankful for this program and more specifically for coach Aliyah who meets you where you are and understands real life happens. She has been more like a therapist and friend since starting. I am excited to see where this journey takes me and so happy to have a partner guide me through my weight loss journey!

Expensive waste of money

It’s been more than two months since I enrolled - Calibrate could not deliver on the prescriptions/prices and was terrible about communicating. I had to constantly reach out for updates. The other aspects of the program are the same as any other fitness app but not as user friendly.
Overall a bust. Think carefully and explore other options before signing up/investing.

Terrible app

This is the most confusing and nearly useless app I’ve ever encountered. I received a notification that I had completed everything I needed before the doctor consulatation, but now The app tells me my setup is not complete, that I need to enable a Health Access from my iPhone. What iPhone? I’m trying to use my iPad which has been terrific with my Fitbit.

So unfriendly in design. If this app is any reflection on the rest of the program, I fear it will be a waste of time and money.

Need a lot of work

The coaches are nice, the program is easy to follow but the app and customer service are terrible.
It’s taken a full month for technical support to reply to my request for help. The app flashes on and off, it doesn’t hold your place when you are reading through the volumes of documents in order to follow the program.
The only way to contact support is through the app you can’t access anyone through the website. Response times are terrible. It is unclear if there are a lot of employees and no one shares info or if there is only 3 employees in the entire company.

Great but glitches a lot

I love the calibrate app and all it has to offer, but it glitches and freezes all the time. It causes me to double enter things often. Also
It freezes. Fix that and it will have anything.

Great program, poor app

The program itself is excellent. I’ve lost 20lbs in 2 months. The app is extremely glitchy. I often have to force restart because resources don’t load. I have to click the buttons several times before anything is tracked.

Glitches

You cannot properly change appointments in the app, or even on the website. You cannot fill in missed check-ins even though that is supposed to be a function. Everything is slow to load. This is the main hub of contact between you and Calibrate. If something in the app goes wrong, you have no way of getting it fixed. This app should have a 0 rating with how many bugs it has. It’s also not worth investing in a program that refuses to fix its main way of communicating with its clients. Terrible.

Program is ok. App will make you cry.

The calibrate program is good but the app and technical parts of this program are so bad, I guarantee you will cry of frustration at least once every few weeks.

The app will often say your password is incorrect. Then you’ll reset it with the same password and it’ll be fine.

It’ll also not update time zones. This week and this morning I received 2 push notifications saying my appointment was at 10:45 am. I planned my day around it. Then I log in and it shows me I’ve missed it. The app knows my time zone and still can’t function.

In the program you can only miss 3 appointments or you’re kicked out so because of technical glitches *on their side* I now fear I have a strike against me in my health journey.

TLDR: Do you really want to work with a company that will penalize *you* for *their* mistakes? Think about what will make you lose motivation fastest. This app is depressingly bad and basically guaranteed to be the worst part of your experience.

Good Changes

So I’ve been on the Callibrate program for about 3 months. The program has been very helpful with my lifestyle changes. I’m very glad that I joined! The app however, could be more helpful. It doesn’t help with finding foods to eat, keeping track, etc. I guess I’ve done other weight loss programs that have had much better apps.
