Bike bookings on LNER app
I have recently installed the lner app on my phone and started to use it for booking trains from Edinburgh to London instead of Trainline. All good except the bike reservation feature. You have to choose train and pay for it before you can see if there’s a bike space. It’s much easier in Trainline where you can see the trains that have bike spaces when you’re browsing for a ticket with a clear bike icon. This means I have both systems open when booking and toggle between train line and lner to check if there are bike spaces and there’s always a nerve wracking moment between confirming a ticket and reserving the bike in case someone has dashed in and snaffled one of the 4 precious bike slots. Please change this!! It can’t be that difficult! There are already so many less bike slots on the. Ázuma trains that booking has become much more challenging. In hopeShow lessTwo wheel passenger
Beyond words
Booked a train to northern Scotland but apparently my train did not exist despite the app saying it was “on time”. LNER staff instead put me in a different train and told me to get off at the end. I followed their instructions and I ended up at some small town during night time, and was stranded as there were no more train departures for that day. I talked to LNER staff and they told me they would book me a taxi to my destination if I paid them £200 to noon a taxi for myself and another stranded passenger and assured me REPEATEDLY I would be compensated. I had no choice unless I wanted to sleep on the street so I did just this but it turns out they lied and I never got my money back? Is this company ran by a bunch of con artists? Excellent Service - Quick and efficient as always - easy process
Since the Covid situation it has been very apparent that the overall LNER service has improved beyond words. Train time reliability on arrivals is excellent. Customer Care service is more contactable and quicker in its response. Website and App service is fantastic so keep up the good workSmailsey

Update issues
Ever since a recent update the app hangs and takes a long time to load things. When attempting to bring up the e-ticket it seems to take ages to load after tapping numerous times on the view tickets option, which is highly inconvenient at busy stations like King’s Cross when trying to pass through the ticket barriers or even when the train manager completes a ticket inspection as it delays them whilst it loads.
Previously it has been fine, so I don’t know what’s happened recently with any potential bugs from updates. Please fix it though as I use LNER several times a week and it’s becoming annoying.Show lessAdamW15
Basket please
Since LNER decided to abolish open returns and move to a system of two singles, I now have to do twice as much to get my tickets as I used to do last week! That is regression, app devs. How about putting a basket in there so I can put my first single in it and go back and choose the return single to allow me to pay for them both at once instead of having to come out of the app and do everything twice? Great app and LNER perks
I find the app incredibly easy to use and can book my tickets quickly often changing seats to my preferences. I love the LNER perks which do mount up and I feel that I am getting a bargain when they are deducted from the price! I also find if any issues down the line you are better served through LNER than Trainline so for me its a go to app. Thank you LNER for making life easy!Show less!_(deano)_!

Excellent app for travelers
I’m based in the US and travel frequently in the UK for my job. This app makes it very easy to book tickets, track journeys, and collect receipts for work expenses.
