  • App is kinda broken

like most people here, i also struggled with mindlessly scrolling on instagram, but when i went to set up the intention reminder, i ended up scrolling for an hour, even though i had it set up to remind me after 5, 10, and 15 minutes. i then closed instagram, only to then get the reminder. i swiped up (to fully close instagram) but still got the 10 and 15 minute reminders after the app had been closed. it seemed that the app worked backwards. i tried turning off the reminders, but still got the notifications, and so i had to delete the app. very glad i didn’t buy the subscription like i was considering. luckily there are many apps similar to this one.

  • Stop the scroll

Great app idea. Will definitely trial it and see how it works and if it helps.

Could be better if the “one app for free only” was more clearly spelled out in the freemium matrix. You do say “unlimited apps” for “Pro”. But you don’t spell out how many you get for free.

Also, if you configure a second or third app, instead of the breathing exercise you get a warning that you’re missing out and need to pay for Pro to do that. So I disabled my extra automations and left one active. But I still got the “too many” warning. I then deleted the extra automations, and still I get the warning. So now the breathing exercise won’t work. Even if I delete ALL automations and add back one for my free level, the breathing exercise doesn’t come back. I just see the “you’re missing out” freemium teaser list. That’s frustrating.

This last thing seems like a bug.

  • Fairly good app behind a paywall.

You can only use this with one app with the free version and get zero extra settings. Seems stingy. The developers only respond to negative reviews if they can show the review is wrong. Considering they get such a tiny amount of negative reviews they could do better with peoples concerns. This app is actually good, despite having to go through an extensive set of instructions for every single app you want to use it with and the fact that you can only use it with a set number of apps meaning most games won’t work. (That last part might actually be apples fault though. You have to say which app you want opened after the one sec pause and shortcuts gives you a list).

  • Self reflection

I think this app allows for those small moments for you to think about if you truly need to open whatever app it is you have this app watching. It makes you reflect on the purpose you are opening it, are there other things you could be doing with your time. Being more productive or taking care of yourself and your mental health. Such a wonderful app!

  • So helpful

This app has saved me so much time and helped break my habit of being late. Do I want to wait 3 seconds to open Instagram, or do I wanna continue getting ready to leave? It’s such a simple app but it’s such good value, highly recommended
  • give one sec ALL UR COINS RN

i apologize for my transgressions. i disparaged this app in another review because it’s a bit tedious to configure. (i’ve since deleted that review.) because once you get it set up, it’s magical!

    if you’ve been
    - trying to block an app for screen time purposes
    - while making sure you get your notifications…
    LOOK NO FURTHER!

this is most likely the only screen time/focus app on the store that keeps your data PRIVATE while helping you build better habits.

so to the people who gave the developer their coins to take this from a little teal screen shortcut to an app with this many customizations, thank you! spending $15 for the whole year on this app is about to change my life.

  • Can't seem to close app

I love this app on my iPhone but unfortunately having a lot of trouble with the MacOS app. It gets stuck on the restore purchase window for one sec pro and doesn't allow me to close the window which means I cannot quit out of the app. Would really appreciate a permanent fix for this! I see it's been quite a persistent bug in previous updates...

  • Great app, sneaky pay wall

I love the concept of the app and everything about it is great! What pushed me the wrong was was the sneaky paywall. They allow you to set the app up on as many of your social medias as possible which takes a solid amount of time to do because you have to set each up a specific way. After you set them all up, you are then told you only get one free one so you either have to remove all the ones you just set up or pay for it. Very annoying, would of been much less annoyed if you said that up front

  • The app that will save mental health

I love this app. everything about social media is meant to destroy our time and productivity. silicon Valley doesn’t care about us they just want our attention so they can make money from the advertisers and they hack our brains to do so. screen time doesn’t do anything because you could just unblock it but what are you in the passcode. this app is helping me take my life back

  • Incredible

I tried this app out on a whim and now all my friends use it too. Sick of being chronically online and this app helped break a lot of habits. Delaying instead of preventing is far more effective since it just makes opening twitter, reddit, or instagram that much more inconvenient. I bought a year of the full version and haven’t looked back. My screen time over the past 3 weeks has plummeted.

I would appreciate a bit more customization with some apps outside of social media. Like preventing me opening Slack outside of work hours, or similar. But as it is, this app is still very effective and packs a whole lot of features, and the price is extremely affordable. I’m sick of apps which offer wellbeing improvements charging an arm and a leg, and this app is a breath of fresh air.

I wish their web browser extension for PC had a few more features, but thats a minor nitpick.

    Incredible app, incredible value.
