  • Good app

    Works really well
  • Life changing

You can’t control your screen time? Even the screen time feature in apple is easy enough to surpass. But then you hear about one sec. Then you set it up and use it for the first time. One sec is just what I needed to quit using social media as much. The breathing exercise is actually so nice and honestly I need the guilt trip of it asking me the question “do you want to open app name?” What a great way to stop me in my tracks. Happily bought a year subscription to this. Will be well worth the money when my habits are changed. I want to take back control of my life.

  • Finally Broken Free ❤️

I couldn’t believe how many times I tried to open social media until I installed this app. Having ADHD I wasted about 5-6 hours a day on scrolling social media, and now I feel like I have my life back. Finally something that works!! Thank you!!!
  • do this for yourself.

a few months ago, the thought of getting off of social media was terrifying. it was such a crutch and time-passer for me, and i thought i would be missing out on so much, even though i knew how much negativity it brought me. this app is amazing. after using the breathe and focus feature everyday, i found SO much time in my day, and my mood significantly improved. once i noticed these improvements, after a month and over 336 hours of time saved, i finally broke away from social media. i feel better than ever, and the slow progression of mindless scrolling to intentional abstinence has blown my mind. thank you for this app.

    *update*
exactly a year later and this app still helps me everyday. i saved 3.1 WEEKS of time last year through one sec, and i could not recommend it enough.

  • Super application

C'est fou comment une pause de 10 secondes avant d'ouvrir une application de reseaux social peux annuler l'envie d'y aller. Cette app à réduire mon temps d'écran de beaucoup !!!
  • SAVED MY LIFE

THIS APP IS SAVING HOURS OF MY LIFE THAT WOULDVE BEEN LOST TO SOCIAL MEDIA.
  • Love this app!

This app is super useful because it reduces that immediate hit of dopamine when you have to wait for which ever social media app you hate to love to open. I recently read “Atomic Habits” by James Clear and was looking for ways to reduce my screen time. While Apple’s native “app limit” feature is nice, it doesn’t create that immediate friction I need to stop myself from mindlessly opening reddit and scrolling like a zombie.

There are a few things I wish this app could improve on. The first is that I wish the setup was simpler. I understand that given the closed-door nature of Apple’s products that this might be difficult. The second is that I wish the desktop browser extensions were more fleshed out. While I appreciate the macOS app and Safari extension, I use Chrome as my browser on my MacBook Pro, so it would be a lot more useful to me if the Chrome extension had more features. Overall though really great app!

  • I have horrible time management but this is amazing!

I have spent so long trying to find the perfect app that allows gentle but harsh reminders of taking breaks. This app has allowed me to stretch out using different apps for different times… it also helps with accountability. It would be really cool if there was a way to get breaks at random times.. (like every 30 minutes it automatically stops your screen and takes a longer breathing break). unless that feature already exists, I would love to figure out how to make it work on my end! This app is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it!

  • Great app—but please add Boggle!!

Very good helpful app but my mom wanted get it and apply the one sec automation to Boggle and the app wasn’t available in the One Sec selection menu! Is there any way you guys could add it please?

Otherwise I am appreciating the app—also helps to do the tips you can find for free on the app of turning off Siri suggestions, etc. Free version works great. You would have to pay for quick switching between apps and a lot of stuff you’d want to do with the app though.

  • It’s okay

This app, while limited in its free version, has helped me realize how much I use Instagram and led me to stop using it as much. However, there are some QoL things that are very annoying that drive my number up yet seem to only be fixable through the premium “intentional app switching” feature:

    • Answering a text - if a text appears as a notification and you swipe down to respond, the app reads this as you leaving the app and restarts one sec
    • Taking a screenshot - if you take a screenshot and tap it to crop / edit it, the app reads this as opening the photos app and makes you restart the one sec process after saving the screenshot.
    • Swiping up (task manager) - when you swipe up slightly on an iPhone to view the task manager, it shows a scrolling field of apps. If I am copying information from one app to the next, however, it reads me entering task manager as closing the app and requires a restart.
    • Changing profile picture (Instagram) - I haven’t been able to replicate this, but when I was changing my Instagram profile picture, my photo albums opened to show me choices. One sec read this (only this one time) as opening Photos and restarted one sec when I was done
