  • Connectivity issues overshadow product vision

    Within a 4 hour reservation window, I spend 60-75 minutes just trying to lock and unlock the car. It’s extremely frustrating and makes this experience beyond frustrating. It’s to a point where ubering makes more sense.

    Outside the connectivity issues, the UX of the app is primitive at best. You can’t see future reservations, you can’t see a calendar of availability, etc.

  • Nothing works in the app o rental

    Nothing works in the app from sign-up to payment to rental. Avoid at all cost!
  • i need to be able to start the car

    as a rental car app, it is important that i be able to start the car when i get into it. i’ve had a 20% success rate with these cars. it costs me so much in rideshare costs and missed appointment fees. i really like this idea in theory but it straight up does not work right now
  • App connectivity needs some love

    Hey Envoy team. First: love the product & work you’ve put into making vehicles available for easy, on demand rental. Bravo.

    The app however, needs some love. I’ve used the service multiple times and consistently have connectivity issues. The app will disconnect from the vehicle and not reload its connection. I usually have to perform some sort of gymnastics around closing the app, reopening it, resetting my phone to magically the the service reconnected to the car. Have had a few instances where the process has taken 15 minutes+. Would love to update this review once the app is more stable!

  • Never works

    I want to start by saying the customer service reps are very nice but this just doesn’t work! I tried twice and the first time I couldn’t even find the right car because they gave me a color for a car that didn’t exist. I ended up trying every car we have in the apartment parking lot and still couldn’t get connected. The second time I actually got in the car but my phone kept getting disconnected from
    the Bluetooth .. I could still lock and unlock the car but I couldn’t start it. After trying it for 30 minutes in 90 degree heat I called for troubleshooting. The only options I had was to close an reopen the app.. turn off and on my bluetooth.. open google maps.. this is supposed to be a easy way to get around in order to promote a car free lifestyle and it’s just frustrating and time wasting. I’m super disappointed they need to take these offline until this can be resolved.

  • Terrible App

    My apartment building is partnered with this company/app and has an electric car in our parking garage we can rent by the hour. EVERY TIME I use it, I have issues. You have to pay for it by the hour but can spend up to 30 min just trying to connect the Bluetooth to unlock the car to get into the freaking car, so half your money spent is spent standing outside of the car looking at it. I have had to pay to extend time when I was right up the road getting groceries simply because I could not get the car to unlock. Sometimes you have to delete the whole app and redownload it just to get it to work. I also hate that if you return the car before your time is up you are not refunded the difference.

  • Flat out does not work in Hawaii, customer service fails

    Traveling to Hawaii we saw our hotel offered aEnvoy community. Problems started as soon as we tried register. It kept throwing errors. However, on uninstalling the app and reinstalling it through a different path, I was magically registered.

    Then on arriving to the island attempting to reserve a vehicle we were unable to add a payment method and so could not reserve a vehicle. We called customer service to be told that there is a failure in the service itself for Hawaii that prevents payment methods. Because it was Sunday there are no staff to work on the issue until normal business hours Monday.

    The CS people were courteous and professional, but to have an on-demand service that is effectively down without an on-call dev team to work a critical issue is an epic business failure.

    Given the expense of the rental and the poor performance of the service, avoid Envoy.

  • Convenient and Fun!

    I rented the Rivian truck last weekend and had a fantastic experience. The app was very simple and easy to use. Unlocking the car and getting started on my rental took less than a minute. It was such a fun experience to drive the Rivian for the very first time. And once my 2 hour rental concluded, parking it back in my communities garage and locking it was just as easy. Their customer service was also extremely quick to respond to any questions I had before, during and after the rental. Overall, really wonderful experience and I look forward to renting from them again in the future!
