It is so much fun to watch your consumption and the expense of electricity versus gas. You will find that the assumption for gas is hi because they use premium fuel, and I never did. In any event it is an excellent app and gives you a lot of information that is very helpful.Chuck Muchmore

Does not show home charges
Tried several times to see home charging information nothing ever showed up. Contacted support and was told to re install app. This was not successful. Terrible advertising.Alwertz

A must-have app to see home charging costs
This is an amazing app that safely links to your Tesla and utility account to give a very detailed view of how much your are spending home charging your Tesla. The developer is also very responsive in addressing bugs as well. Highly recommended!EuroSnob
Crazy Phantom drain
I don’t usually write a review here but I see this app with 4.8 stars which doesn’t reflect true to me. At first I liked the app and didn’t realize a phantom drain. Later on I easily noticed that this app was the cause of phantom drain. It killed the battery 3-7% a day easily. Now I disable the app the battery drains 0-1% in a week(I don’t drive the car for a week). I might not use the app properly or something but it’s not acceptable if the app create phantom drain.Show lessvn1286

Thank you for reaching out. Optiwatt should never cause additional phantom drain and will stop polling data when the vehicle is ready to naturally fall asleep (i.e sitting in your driveway). This ensures that car sleeps when it would normally so as not to cause any additional phantom drain. For being a free app it’s actually not too bad at all.
But the one thing I think it desperately needs is the ability to customize mpg and fuel costs for comparison sake. App currently defaults to a vehicle that gets more mpg than the previous vehicle I sold for my Tesla, and it miscalculates the cost of premium fuel per gallon (a good .50¢ below current fuel costs).
Would really like to make an accurate comparison, being able to enter customizable fuel values (mpg and fuel costs) would be a tremendous help.Show lessfuzzygreenballs

We do apologize for the gas rates being incorrect and we do have custom fuel choices along with custom comparison vehicles on our development road map. Unfortunately doesn’t work well. Charges 5 minutes into peak rate before it realised, or doesn’t start charging at all when peak ends. Has caused issues for a long journey due to no charge. Good support but not real fixes yet. Be cautious.RateTheGreat
