  • A little confused about body fat percentage

So I’ve been using the renpho scale for quite a while now. In mod January (in the original app) my body fat percentage dropped overnight by 5-6%. It measured in this new range consistently since, until upgrading to the new Renpho health app, which is mow measuring back at the original range, 5-6% higher. Please note there were no drastic weight changes to accommodate either of these changes. I’m assuming the new app (showing the original higher range) is correct, but I’m curious if there is an answer for this. This inconsistency keeps my score from being 4-5 stars. Also this app is not syncing with apple health, so i find i need to continue using original app.

  • So disrespectful

This new app is so bad I want to get a new scale just so I don’t have to use this app. This app genuinely called me “fatter” and changed numbers around from the original app as well as not syncing my weight from the scale. The derogatory language will make you lose customers I promise that. Using words “fat” and “fatter” to describe people is really ignorant. You don’t know if the person has already lost a considerable amount of weight, has body image issues, or an eating disorder. Renpho, I hope you see this. Renpho, I hope you fix your awful new app.

  • A big downgrade from old app

    1. Old app connects and reads info without location information, this app collects your location. Very unnecessary and bad.
    2. Old app automatically identifies user profile and distributes new measurement data, this app can’t. You need manually distribute the readings between accounts. Even though you have only have one account/profile, you still have to distribute it.
    3. If you have 2 users with 2 different phone connection the situation is even worsens. Readings can be sent to wrong phone with wrong account. You have to distribute the reading but you have other persons data, and other person have your data. There is no point to have multiple profiles under one account if you are syncing it with Apple Health app.
    4. The old data is not available in new app. When you login you need to register again with new account. If you are not syncing it to any third party app, you will loose your previous measurement datas with this “upgrade”.

    TOTALLY FAILURE!!!

  • If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

This app does not work! Can’t connect my Fitbit. Can’t see all the info in the old app. What on earth is this? I looked at other reviews and it looks like this doesn’t work for many people. I’m expecting to see a standard response from the company following my negative review. You wouldn’t have to respond to negative reviews if you hadn’t rolled out an app that does not work. Every time I open the old app it is asking me to download the new app that people are unhappy with. Maybe you should slow down and get your app to work before you start pushing it at your users. I’m perfectly happy with the old app. I’ll be very upset if you phase out the old app, that actually works, for an app that is not useable. Zero stars!

  • Old APP Gives you more comparisons

This new app seems to have sacrificed the ability to see comparison over time, which I found to be most helpful while losing weight, for opportunities to connect with others. The graph of your progress is gone and the ability to set the start date for a weight loss journey to see the change every time you weigh-in is also gone. Now, you have to go through a process to be able to see that data. You also can no longer manually input measurement data. Overall the new app is not worth the download. I hope the older version is not deleted anytime soon.

  • Ignore The App

There are multiple issues that I have with this app but the most serious is the presence of the “Days to Remaining” for the weight loss goal. The presence of this tells me that they do *not* understand weight loss and that it’s not something that you can achieve in [n] number of days like projects around the house. I have been on a weigh loss journey for 2 years working to move from “obese” to a healthy weight. There scale is traps in and of itself. It’s normal for weight to fluctuate a few pounds. It’s normal for weight loss to level out despite the person doing everything that they should be doing. It happens. It’s normal. The human body is adjusting to the new normal. But when there’s an over emphasis on “numbers” the person can become obsessed with them. Especially a target date to loose weight. It leads to all sorts of emotional upheaval and can cause a person to walk away from it. Not to mention that loosing 1-2lbs a week is considered safe any faster rate puts the person at risk for health issues and potentially sets up the person to gain the weight back putting them at square one with a bunch of disappointment & a sense of failure. I will be deleting the app for multiple reasons until I absolutely am forced to use it.

  • Horrible Customer Service

I will be returning this tape measurer. In creating an account i kept getting a failure error. Reached out to the chat. I was told that there was a issue and they are working on it. Which is fine but when I asked how long it’s been down I was told “not sure” I asked for a estimated time of resolution and again was told “not sure” was asking to see if I should return the product if this is an on going problem. The support was rude and I will be returning the product based on not being able to set up and horrible customer service. I am a chat rep for another company and was so disappointed on the way the agent handled the chat. They need training on empathy and how to correspond with their clients.

  • i love this scale

We love this scale. I suggested this scale with the app and it's a huge hit. Each person has there own profile. It works great. There info is saved and all there. I also have one at home that my husband and I use and it's great. I love all the information that can be stored in there and I love how it saves your progress. You can see how you are doing from a few months ago. I highly recommend this product not only for the price but the easy to use app that is also there for you for added support.

  • Great Hardware/Subpar App

The scale itself (both body weight and food scale) is amazing. It syncs up well via Bluetooth and is able to give you some solid body metrics so you can track progress and set goals. What doesn’t sit well with me is the food selection and accuracy of nutrition facts for the food you do find. This definitely leads to an inefficient morning. What could help out quite a bit would be the ability to scan the barcode and the food be auto populated with accurate nutritional information! Looking forward to seeing this in a future update.

  • Awful

I love my scale and my tape measure is good when I can keep the back on. This app however is much to be desired. The other Renpho app is far superior.

I do not appreciate having to log in every single time I go to use this app and then it doesn’t remember my password, doesn’t save it in my phone, and when I ask for a verification email, it doesn’t get sent.

The user interface is not pleasant to look at or to use. It looks and feels like one big ad to purchase more items that I don’t need to use with this mediocre app.

Do us all a favor and get rid of this app and go back to the blue Renpho app. It actually syncs my weight with the apple health app. This one does not at all so it’s not my apple health. In fact, I don’t use this app at all anymore. My tape measure and scale work seamlessly with the original app but not this one. Get rid of it.
