  • Could be dangerous to noobs

Good for basic tracking/ or performance over a period of time. However, as a bodybuilder currently stage lean shape- it says I have 10% higher body fat than any other calliper I use and also classifies me as overweight. This could be extremely dangerous for anyone new/ only using this as a guide for weight loss- encourage eating disorders or have people losing way more than they should just to hit these fallible targets

Hi customer, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Our scales use bio-electrical impedance analysis(BIA) technology to offer you the data. The data obtained by BIA bio-electric measurement is closely related to the following parameters: body impedance coefficient/height/weight/age/gender/Athlete Mode status. We suggest you confirm if your profile(height/age/gender/Athlete mode status) is correct. If you are a bodybuilder, we suggest you turn on the athlete mode in the app, and then measure new data to confirm it. If the problem persists, please feel free to contact us via support@renpho.com. Best Regards, Renpho Customer Service Team
  • UI is terrible…

I’ve reverted to the older Renpho app (called “Outdated”) because it’s much easier to use. The user interface on the new Renpho Health app is confusing and not at all intuitive, no matter how much the designers may argue it is when showing the concepts to management. It’s awful… and I’m an ex-designer who is very used to finding my way around apps. What is terrible is that the Home Screen no longer shows your weight and associated measurements - where these are in the new app is anyone’s guess. As I said, the new app needs better design and better testing. Just awful.

Hi customer, I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused, please accept our deepest apologies. The new app is slightly different from the old one as we have integrated more products into it. This has resulted in a different interface from the earlier Renpho app. If you want the app shows the measurement page once opened, please follow the steps: 1. Open the app, it should default to the "Home" page of the app. 2. Tap "Body Fat Scale" listed under "My device", this will take you to the measurement page of the body fat scale. 3. Tap "Settings" 4. Tap "Add to Home screen" 5. Tap "Add" If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via support@renpho.com. Sincerely, Renpho Customer Service Team
  • Old app is better

The new app is OK, but I think the old app is better. My age is between 35-40 so I am by no means challenged or technologically illiterate when it comes to using apps, yet this new version seems to be a bit of a PITA compared to the older version. For instance, the ability to select historical data for comparison seems like it’s gone. The only way I can see is to export all the data to my device and then do a manual comparison. Seriously? For instance, say I want an instant comparison graph of my current measurements compared to historical data side by side. The old app gave that to you easily. The new app? Nada. New versions are supposed to be improvements, not setbacks. Anyway I just continue using the old app as it still works with my scale thankfully. I use the new app too just in case they eventually delete or erase the old app’s data. To the developers: If it ain’t broke don’t fix it…

Hi customer, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Could you try the steps to set it? 1. Open the app, it will default to the "Home" page of the app. 2. Tap on "Start Measurement" underneath the "Weight" or "Body Fat" card on the "Home" page, this will take you to the measurement page of the device. 3. Tap "Set up" in the upper right corner of the data comparison tab, this will take you to the "Select data" page. 4. Tap the date on the calendar and all the measurements taken on that day will appear below. 5. Tick the target measurement that you wish to set as the data comparison baseline. It will take you back to the measurement page of the body fat scale and the data comparison baseline will have been changed successfully. 6. Tap the data comparison tab in the middle of the measurement page. It will show a comparison page. Please kindly contact us via email (support@renpho.com) if you have further questions. • Application géniale

Application conviviale et motivante pour perdre du poids
  • Older Renpho app is more user friendly

I used to love how simple the landing screen on old Renpho app was - always brought me to the dashboard with all measurements visible and when I tapped on trends it would let me scroll to all pas measurements. On the new app, it defaults me to a screen that just shows weight and the scale. Only when I tap on scale it takes me to that single screen dashboard. Similarly for trends, it just defaults to month and I have to manually tap all — who designed this? Why did you make your most used flows gain # clicks?

  • Works, but could be better

It doesn’t use the WiFi in the scale to do background updates. You have to open the app to get the latest readings onto your phone and piped to the other apps you are actually using to monitor the data. It shouldn’t check frequently to save battery in the scale and the phone; so, having the check frequency settable would be good. I would probably pick the once a day…

The app user can’t remove the annoying and time consuming weight and BMI animations when you configure the scale. They are cute the first couple of times, but a waste of time after that. Speaking of BMI, it is nearly total junk science. It’s just your weight times your height. Given that height doesn’t change, it’s exactly the same as tracking your weight. It’s also a poor indicator for individual health: if you don’t believe me, compute the BMI for any NFL football team. The BMIs will claim they are all unhealthy! BMI has some usefulness for statistical analysis, but it’s too wildly variable to use to assess an individual’s health.

Hi Herbie, You can use the scale without your phone. The scale can store measurements. When you open the app and turn on the Bluetooth and GPS(for Android) and wake up the scale next time, the stored data will be uploaded to your account automatically. Meanwhile, if the app only displays the weight and BMI, the app will pop up a window for you to confirm. So when measuring, make sure you stand barefoot on the scale until the measurement is complete. By the way, regarding your suggestion, we will forward it to our technical department to evaluate. Sincerely, Renpho Customer Service Team
  • digital scale function missing

the old version of the app allowed you to operate the physical food scale with a digital version which was super helpful when a big plate covered the read on the food scale. Now i see no option to digitally reset the scale to zero or swap units of measurement. very disappointed by this as this was my selling feature in buying the rephno food scale

  • Easy to use and amazing simple data

This is the best app I got for a product. It’s easy to use and the data is displayed visually and in an extremely simple way. The scale works perfectly too and I highly recommend it to everyone.
