  • Great app made even better by amazing advisor Eve

Meeting Eve and working with MOS has been the best thing that happened to me this year. Thanks to Eve, I saved over $16,000! She is the best advisor ever, always going above and beyond for people. Eve is incredibly quick, really listens to your concerns, and finds effective solutions. She's like a fairy godmother. I just tell her my issues, and she finds solution to resolves them.

As an independent student, I was wrongly classified as out-of-state, resulting in a $20,000 tuition fee that I couldn't afford. Eve identified the mistake and helped me resolved it, reclassifying me as in-state and saving me a significant amount of money. She also helped me recover numerous late fees. Eve took the time to explain loans, grants, and everything else to me, which was incredibly helpful since I'm not from here and find it all confusing.

Additionally, Eve found scholarships for me that I couldn't find on my own. She is genuinely caring, checking in on me almost every day to see how I'm doing and if I've received any news about scholarships. Meeting Eve during this challenging period of my life has been a true blessing. I wish nothing but the best for her!
Mos she be proud to have Eve as an advisor. Many of my friends also work with her and only have good things to say. I would rate the Mos app itself 8/10, but with Eve it is a 20/10.

  • Not worth the money. Use a free AI instead.

Not too thrilled with this service honestly. At first it was exciting to be working with a financial aid advisor. What I wasn’t too thrilled about was their blatant use of AI, especially when all the basic free ChatGPT does the EXACT same thing. My advisor sent me a letter to send to my financial aid office. What tipped me off to her blatant use of AI is when the letter started with “Grand Rising” but she couldn’t be bothered to change it before sending it to me. The service isn’t horribly expensive, but you’d be better off saving your money and just searching for scholarships through a 100% website. This service was not worth the price or almost getting in trouble with my school for submitting an AI generated email.

Hi there, we're very sorry about the confusion and especially that you haven't been satisfied with your premium experience. We fully understand the expectation for a real human interaction in which our premium service revolves around. Your advisor Eve used "Grand rising" because your school's financial aid office had used that phrase, and Eve felt matching their tone would be appreciated by the aid office. Our advisors have a lot of experience negotiating with schools, and that experience—with these kind of personal touches—can help us get you money. We sincerely hope you'll continue to work with us and that you'll be successful in getting more aid.
  • The best app for scholarships

The idea of finding and writing millions of essays for millions of scholarship had me stressing. This app makes it so easy. It makes it seem like a dating app by “matching” you to different scholarship at a time and allows you to swipe left or right. It also helps you with your essays and gives you an ai generated response which you can edit to your liking. I have already applied to at least 10 scholarships with essays in only one hour! I definitely would recommend this to my friends and just everyone I know.

  • THANK YOU

I have been scared and honestly been losing my mind over scholarships, I’m getting ready to head into my senior year and I really want to go to college but my family cannot afford it. My father told me I needed to apply to every and any scholarship but I didn’t know where to begin, I didn’t know where to find scholarships. But when I came across an add for this app it literally saved my life and I’ve been applying to scholarships left and right. For those scared to get this app don’t be alarmed! But be sure to create an extra gmail account to use, the amount of emails you’ll get from colleges can be overwhelming if it’s all being sent to your main primary gmail.

  • MOS is amazing

I love this app. At first, I thought for sure you would have to pay to swipe and pay for the essay writing AI, but both are included in the free version. This is the perfect app for myself who doesn’t know where to go to find many scholarships and this app has matched me with 30+ scholarships in a couple minutes. MOS also makes it incredibly easy to apply to scholarships and the essay writing AI is very good although I almost always make a couple changes to make it sound more human-like. Overall I am very impressed and in love with MOS.

  • Lifesaver for College-Bound Students!

As a college-bound student navigating the daunting landscape of financial aid, grants, and scholarships, I stumbled upon the MOS app, and it has been an absolute game-changer for me. With no prior experience in dealing with these matters, I found myself overwhelmed and lost, until MOS came to my rescue.

One of the standout features of the MOS app is its ability to assist students like me in finding scholarships tailored to our unique profiles. It not only provides a comprehensive database of available scholarships but also offers personalized recommendations based on our academic achievements, interests, and background.

But what truly sets MOS apart is its unparalleled support in negotiating with colleges and universities. From analyzing my information to crafting compelling letters, MOS guided me every step of the way. They even provided invaluable advice on whom to address these letters to and when to follow up, ensuring that I stayed on top of my application process.

Thanks to MOS, I not only felt empowered to take control of my financial aid journey but also achieved outcomes beyond my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided and the positive impact it has had on my future. For any college-bound student seeking guidance and support in navigating the complexities of financial aid, grants, and scholarships, I wholeheartedly recommend the MOS app. It's a lifesaver!

  • One of the best and most helpful apps for college scholarships

I love how easy and accessible it is to find scholarships and be able to navigate them so easily with the help of a personal assistant to guide you and help you. You don’t need to upgrade at all you can use use the regular you don’t have to go premium but I suggest to go premium because the app is already free itself and spending $10 could help yousave thousands of dollars on scholarship so in my opinion is totally worth it

  • 11/10

Honestly, I was very skeptical when I first downloaded MOS. I had seen a few ads for it on my TikTok feed and decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. The idea of applying for scholarships was very daunting for me, but this app makes it fun and a lot less stressful. I love being able to compare different scholarships and learn the gist of them without having to hunt down all the different websites myself. Being able to swipe left or right is both hilarious and satisfying as it mimics a dating app. In a recent update, there is now ai generated text that takes the prompt and a quick response to type out a large chunk of text that you can copy and paste right in. This feature is a life saver, but could still use some tweaks. I love the ability to have an advisor to help with financial planning while planning for college. I personally don’t use this feature as you would have to subscribe to it, but I’m still able to access the default ai advisor. I’ve already recommended this app to several friends and have applied to dozens of scholarships. This app is super easy to use and navigate and I truly that everyone is able to use this to lighten the load with college.

  • I'm surprised

As a sophomore in high school this year, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with the process of finding scholarships that fit my particular profile. Despite my best efforts, it has been challenging to locate opportunities that align with my interests and qualifications. I'm still in the process of discovering more about my future goals and aspirations, which is why I'm so grateful to have discovered a new way to receive help and guidance. It's important to me that I make the most of my time in high school and take advantage of every opportunity available, and finding the right scholarships is a crucial part of that journey.

  • good but could use improvement

I really like the idea of simplifying scholarship search. The platform is easy to use and gives good results and sort them by due date. However there are some things I think they could improve on. Firstly, more questions on the match survey such as extracurriculars, awards, etc. Second, more accurate matches. sometimes mos gives me “matches” that are not applicable to me such as scholarships open only for people from a state or county where I don’t live, even though I entered my address on their matching survey. Third, the estimated time for applications is often very wrong. a scholarship that requires essay, transcript, rec letters, forms, etc will say 5-15 min on mos I love the time estimate feature but its useless if it’s inaccurate. Lastly it would be nice to save and sort scholarships into custom folders. like ones I may want to apply for next year, or ones I want to share with others.

Thank you so much for your review, it's super helpful and our team is looking into your feedback: - 1. That's a great point. We keep trying to improve our matching. Since some of those info are very "broad" (eg: there are tons of different extracurriculars, or awards), we're not able to match on those criteria yet. But we keep getting better and better and should get there soon! - 2. We've noticed this matching issue about local county scholarships, and it's being fixed as we speak! - 3. We keep improving the precision of application requirements, and are reviewing every scholarships one by one. We're actually launching a new feature to help students apply to scholarships, and it'll help us get more precise for the time estimates - stay tuned :) - 4. That's a great idea and has been passed along to our product team
