Just installed it and it looks great! The only small caviat I’ve noticed is to have the contour lines more often just every 500m. Maybe in the settings one could choose the frequqncy? Thank you for working on this project :)Vilemo

Increasing the frequency of contour lines will greatly increase the map size. We have some ideas on how to improve/refactor it, please stay tuned ;-)OK unless you need voice commands
If you need voice commands, forget it unless you are Romanian or Macedonian. Even then you have to mess with another app RH to get it to work. Apple Maps and Google maps are issuing audible turn by turn instructions but can’t get Organic maps to work verbally. Downloaded app RH and installed but no English available in language selection. IOS is up to date on 12 Mini. What else can I try OM? Apple and Google maps voice directions are working fine.Show lessThillman

Did you set up Text To Speech in your phone settings? Go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content. Select and test the voice/dialect. If it works, then restart OM and set the voice in OM's settings. Which language are you trying to set up? Found this App amazing while travelling. Great to use for hiking, finding parking and places of interest. Can’t fault it and it enhanced my trip so much allowing us to explore more than we would have done without it.

Do you mean optimized routes for Taxi drivers? That‘s a good idea. Which area can be used for testing and provide different routes?It’s a nice map, but…
…it does a very bad job at planning bicycle routes. If I didn’t already knew the directions, the routing would take me all over the place, starting with going to the opposite direction, and then routing me through streets with heavy traffic, as opposed to using official cycling routes with minimal or no traffic. So for bicycle routes it’s great if you already know the directions (in which case why would I even use routing), or it’s great for general location mapping, eg if you are walking somewhere and you get lost you can check where the heck you are.Show lessnutella_98

The routing quality highly depends on the underlying OSM maps data. Did you update the app and downloaded maps to the latest version? Can you please send us examples of wrong routes with their screenshots and start/end coordinates at ios@organicmaps.app, or send links to the same routes at osm.org? In this way we can improve the app.Yes

Shows detailed OSM data with fully offline downloads. Light battery usage. Nice dark mode when relevant. Topo contours, peaks, and trails in "outdoor mode" are often better than official trail maps. Interface for editing OSM data is simple and easy to use. In fact all of the interfaces are relatively simple and let you do most things without excessive tapping around. Very nicely designed overall.
The search is not very "smart", and requires a few tries to get what I want; unsure if that's custom or it's just calling Nominatim, but it could use some future improvements.
Turn-by-turn navigation is also not great for driving, the directions are OK but the callouts are not very useful.Show lessnerdponx

Thanks for the feedback! Can you please provide more details about non-working search requests and navigation issues at ios@organicmaps.app ? Note that we don't yet use Nominatim, which supports external address databases in the US. Good news is that this feature is planned, and address search should be improved soon.
