BEST At Home Workout App

I have tried a few workout apps and this is by far my favorite! I can easily do them at home which is perfect for me. Other apps that say you can do them at home haven’t pushed me as much as I would like. I sweat like crazy EVERY single workout. My husband even tried a workout with me and he said he was dying. I am on week 3 and look forward to my workout every day!

Not worth it

I was really excited about this app because I love Cara and follow her workouts on Instagram. I’m also pregnant so found this to be one of the few pregnant programs. I even canceled my actual gym membership and SWEAT app to begin this journey.

I had issues day one with being double paid. I reach out to Apple and the issue was fixed and I was reimbursed. The login is not the only issue though.

You don’t get to preview the workout beforehand. You don’t know if you need certain weights or what to expect before the exercise comes up. I like to preview the whole workout in the SWEAT app, get mentally ready and set up, and then start the workout. There is also no real way of knowing if something is 12 reps total or 12 on each side or what. I also wish there was a way to say you finished the workout and don’t really like that I’m paying a decent amount of money for 6 workouts total. I get consistency but it feels like the price is not worth it. I like the intensity of Cara’s workouts more than SWEAT but I feel like comparatively with all the different options, strength levels, audio, and exact direction, the sweat app feels more worth the money than this. It feels very flat and like it was thrown together quickly.

Solid start but definitely could use improvements

I like the style of workouts (circuit and muscle group focused) and they are good workouts. The app has a clean look, is easy to use, and I like that you can see your set count and circuit count. That being said I think they should bring a personal trainer onto their team to help with writing the programs. It seems like there are some gaps in the training and there are a couple form issues in the videos. Especially for the price (more expensive than the SWEAT app with much less to offer). It’s not bad by any means, the look of the app is top notch. I just think content is going to need improvements to be successful long term. Everybody starts somewhere and I think it’s a great place to have started 😃

Ehhh

I had high hopes for this app but it isn’t quite living up to my expectations. A lot of the time the exercise demo won’t even show up at all. And Sometimes the app won’t even open to the main screen to get into the workouts. I also wish it kept track of what I have completed. When they have worked they have been killer workouts but it just isn’t consistently working for me at all

Workouts are great but has glitches

The workouts are great but I have to sign in every time I go to the app and over half of the time it doesn’t allow me to sign in. It just stays on the login page. I have had to miss days because of this so I haven’t been able to follow the program on the days I want to.

Continuing to get kicked off

I’ve seen the other reviews about people getting off the app and am having the same issue. I’ve reset my password numerous times as well a deleted and reinstalled the app. It will still randomly kick me out without letting me sign back in.

I like the workouts, just wish the app was more consistent.

Disappointed

I was super excited about this app as I’ve been following Cara Loren for years on Instagram. I’m thankful there was a 7 day free trial so I could see that this app was not for me. Paying $31 USD a month for 6 days of workouts that you have to repeat over the same 12 weeks over and over is just ridiculous. You get ONE set of 6 workouts, that’s it…… yes I understand repeating and consistency but not for that price.

Potential to be great…..

This has the potential to be great. However I haven’t been able to use it since the pictures won’t load. Per customer service they know about the glitch and they are working it. They should offer another free week since I can’t use the app and the free week is a total bust. Why role out a app if it isn’t ready???

OBSESSED

I haven’t had any problems with the app. I think the workouts are great…I’m so sore the next few days…in the best way. I cancelled my planet fitness membership for right now so I can just use this app in my home gym! I’ve been following cara’s workouts for a while now so the fact that I can have such easy access to them is great. Love love love!

Okay but could be better

I wish there was sound with the app that counted down the last 3 seconds of rest / of times exercise. I wish there was a preview page of what your workout would be so you know what equipment you need and are ready for the first exercise (these are all aspects of the SWEAT app which if consider the gold standard since it’s been around for so long and I’m surprised the creators didn’t take note of some of the more helpful features). I like that you can choose different levels of workout each day, I don’t like that all that means is that if you want in intense day you might be doing 100 reps of an exercise at one time or 3 min of burpees at one time rather than maybe adding a circuit, adding weight, or adding a few more challenging full body moves. I also like that each circuit does one standard movement, an ab movement and a HIIT movement I think this is unique to this all as most exercise programs focus on body part/circuit. I feel like it would be nicer to have more control of your schedule, instead of having it give you 7 days of workouts I should be allowed to assign what days I want to use the app - M, W, F for example to allow for other types of exercise other days of the week while still keeping you “on track” according to the app.
