    I’ve been actively using this for many years, since the early development on this app and pre-sign up for it, I appreciate what the company is trying to do, its very user friendly and had given a variety of options for produce that is otherwise very good. My only concerns for this is that the pricing can be higher on some products than the usual traditional grocery stores and the only time that I had a inbox inquiry no one ever messaged back. Even so I still give it a high rating due to minimal issues I’ve had and good quality product.

  • LOVE this!

    I was finally able to get rid of my regular grocery store that was overcharging me more and more and more as time went on. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I watch every penny and I pinch them. But I like good food. I buy only organic, wholesome food. My grocery store was starting to price me out of these foods, pushing the Big Name Companies who are all now on the Bioengineered wagon. NO THANKS. I'm very happy to say that now that I get Imperfect Foods delivered, I can buy the organic, simple nutritional food that I love and not go broke. The quality is excellent, the selection is everything I could possibly need, and the delivery is fantastic. I don't mind a few pieces of fruit that have blemishes, or that maybe might be too small for the regular grocery stores. They taste great. My father used to tell me, (and my father was a green thumb farmer), that "the uglier the vegetables and fruits, the tastier they are." 😊 And I love how I'm able to call the shots, so to speak. If I don't need groceries, I just tell Imperfect Foods don't bring me anything and they don't. I thought about this for a long time before I did it. I wish I had gone ahead and done it a long time ago. If you are thinking about it, don't delay. You will not be disappointed.

  • Quality food delivery

    I have been subscribed to Imperfect foods for 2 years now. And although it’s not always perfect, the quality of the food is always fresh. It took me a while to get in sync with ordering food in a schedule. But once I did, it’s perfect! The biggest change for me was setting up all my sauces and dry ingredients that are rotation. And then through Imperfect foods, I have my fresh staples. I haven’t completely transitioned all my grocery shopping online. This service has allowed me to enjoy putting my groceries away and learn to adjust my meal prep based ingredients that need to be cooked. One last tip, I keep my proteins in a container in the fridge. This way if there are any packages that are punctured, the protein juices don’t spill everywhere and I can easily clean my container. Lastly, I love the idea of eating clean and reducing waste. Thank you Imperfect foods 🙏🏽

  • New users - things to know

    I wanted to love this, but my original experiences make me uncomfortable enough to delete the app and where I feel a few warnings should be made clear to anyone considering the service.
    I registered on my phone - to check things out, the next week I received a bill. While I was not prompted I was signed up for automatically. I called and got the order canceled by a very pleasant person. We put it on an order where I could select when and what I ordered.
    Today I woke up to a message my order was here. I had not ordered anything, I put some stuff in my cart to compare prices and determine if this was a service I would use… Apparently, you place it in your cart and if you don't remove it by the submit date - you ordered everything in the cart.
    The worst part after getting the order- and paying for it my apples were majorly bruised and veggies and fruit I had already purchased some at a lower price at the grocery this week, not knowing your cart was an indication of purchase.

  • Poor merger. Recommend that you avoid

    Imperfect Foods had a merger with Misfits Market some time back, which has caused them to replace their (perfectly usable!) app with Misfit’s and use their delivery schedule. The schedule is fine, I could readjust, but the app is and has been unusable. No number of fixes have addressed the core issue of how bizarrely the app is laid out, and how much of a pain it is to navigate. (Other reviews put it better.) But you can order wine now(?)!

    I canceled my service after two years because I was notified my window was changing AGAIN, as the route I live on was being outsourced. They’ll no longer take ice packs or covers for recycling either since it’s a third party handling it. Isn’t that part of the point of reducing carbon footprint?

    Incredibly disappointed with the service, as it feels like they’re just trying to sell off what they can. Please avoid, nothing is stable and you’ll just find yourself frustrated.

  • Much worse than Imperfect

    After several months of using the service I’ve decided to call it quits. Decided to utilize this service because of its sustainability and equity messaging. After several orders with missing or damaged items, I finally made a complaint when nearly half of my order was missing. Only received a stock response and a refund. My most recent and final order was delivered to another address, which I have no way of tracking down. I have a disability and do not drive and was relying on this service for my meals; missing critical items from an order means I need to replan my meals and travel to a grocery. Friends and coworkers had warned me of the unreliability of the service, wish I had followed their advice. I cannot and you as a prospective customer likely cannot rely on Imperfect Foods/Misfit Market.

  • WHAT IS GOING ON??!!

    I’ve been purchasing from Imperfect Foods for over a year with no complaints i get weekly deliveries. I used to Love Love Love Imperfect Foods until your migration with Misfit Foods. The new App is the WORST!! What happened to my reoccurring list? There is nothing there. Why did you change my shopping time from 12:00P to 4:00P I’m working at 4:00P. When I signed on today to shop because my reoccurring list is no longer there most of the items I usually purchase was sold out by 4:30P which is odd since my shopping window started at 4:00P I’m irked because I had to skip this weeks order. I’m going to try one more time with y’all and if the same thing happens next week I will be closing my account and looking for another delivery service DO BETTER!!!

  • Frustrating and unreliable

    My biggest issue with imperfect is that you can’t rely on getting what you order. I try to plan meals based on what I order, but like this week, nearly half of what I ordered was not delivered. I wasn’t charged for it, but it still completely messed up my meal plans for the week and means I need to go to the grocery store anyway. On top of that, things really aren’t any cheaper than the grocery store despite being “imperfect” produce.

    After the merger, the app was terrible. Fortunately some things have gotten better but it’s frustrating they changed the delivery windows and also no longer have push notifications.

  • Terrible App Update

    I’ve been a subscriber for 3 years with little to no issues. I’m extremely disappointed with the recent changes and sad to know this company with a great mission is likely losing business due to poor design and planning. I have skipped my boxes more than I ever have since the update because the app is not user friendly and frankly annoying to use and I find that even my repeat items have gotten more expensive since the merger. I also had to discover on my own that my window closed at an earlier time and had to have them cancel my order in a panic. I do hope they go back to the simpler and more intuitive app!

  • Designed to trap you in a subscription

    I loved Imperfect Foods 2 years ago, but they’ve slid into a pretty terrible service. The biggest red flag is that you cannot simply delete your account. It’s a multi-step process to downgrade your plan so you can leave. For a service that was trying to save the world of food waste, I don’t care to be milked as a cash cow to do it, let people cancel at anytime.

    Other items, my subscription was supposed to be $50-$70 per box, they always auto-fill it to $100+. A lot of the items that were good deals are no longer cheaper or even on par with local grocers. The app in general is not very helpful.
