Leaves a lot to be desired
App is very glitchy on ipad. Not responsive and many components don’t even fit on the screen. Sucks that they disabled the optimize app before making this one work properly. Also, it keeps asking me to activate notifications when I commit to the day which is a little annoying. Not to mention, I can’t customize notification times (seriously, why?). Otherwise, it’s a great resource for knowledge, but until they disabled the optimize app, it more-or-less just a daily checklist app - and there are better ones out there. They also keep trying to sell me more products despite having paid $500 for the lifetime membership, which is a little unsavoury.Show lessnick65436

Nick! Thank you for your feedback. This is Zak and I'm happy to support here! I apologize for the glitches you experienced on the iPad. Sounds like an OMMS situation for us to overcome together!! So as you know, the Heroic app is not yet "optimized" for iPads, but our Mobile Web experience will likely be a great solution on iPad in the meantime! I hope you try that out. If you'd rather stick with the app for now (That's great!) could you please reach out to me directly because I'd be happy to assist you in resolving that notifications bug ASAP. This IS something we're considering for future updates as we strive to improve the experience for our community. :) I do want to clarify for readers that our app offers more than just a daily checklist. There are tools, meditations, access to DAILY live coaching with Brian, etc. AND we have exciting features on the horizon, such as the Heroic Social feature, which is currently in the testing phase!! We're enthusiastic about releasing this feature and believe it will greatly enhance the app's value. Regarding the sales messaging, I apologize if it came across as pushy. Our intention is not to be unsavory or overly aggressive in promoting additional products. In summary, I think the Heroic app should be in Parents’ and specifically Civil Judges’ toolkit.
From personal experience, lots and lots of unfortunate experience, in regards to legal battles with my ex-wife.
12 years ago a Judge imputed Our Family Wizard into our parenting plan. 12 years later, I’m easily able to print out a transcript of our communications for court review as evidence. I’m very, very grateful for that Judge.
In our current open litigation, one of my battles is my right of app review and approval, prior to my kids downloading the app. I hope to get Heroic, Duolingo, Spartan, and others on my kids’ phones before Instagram and TikTok make it on their phones.
As I am rolling through my personal experience in raising kids in a split household, like, many around the world, I feel that all Parents and Judges should be made aware of your app and upcoming social media platform so that can parents can best guide their kids when working toward the children’s best interests.

I’ve been using this app since it was released in 2022. It’s the best investment I’ve ever made. Every day I get a short infusion of wisdom and inspiration and learning that energizes and motivates me. I get a daily meditation to calm and focus me. I get a platform to set my daily intentions so I can stay on track towards actualizing my potential, compounding my target habits, and closing the gap between the best person I CAN be and who I am today. It’s a daily compass. In this distracted and chaotic world it is a touchstone to keep me on pace to what is most important to me. Thank you to Brian and the entire Heroic team for this amazing tool and the continuing improvements and functionality. The content in this app used to be called Optimize, and before that Brian Johnson.
Longtime subscribers/members will know this.
When the Brian Johnson app was out, the content was available for $10p/m. I was subscribed for a long time, ultimately loved the PN, +1’s and 101’s, but cancelled as I was a student and wasn’t using the app.
Then the content was migrated onto an app called Optimize, with ALL of the paywalled content available for free. Brian went big on making a big deal out of this, saying it was in accordance with his vision and mission, and flagged that heroic would be a ‘premium’ service for more higher-touch coaching offerings.
At some point since, a decision was made to reverse this.
All of the content previously free on Optimize is now up behind a paywall on the Heroic app.
The original offer/promise to make this content available for free to audiences has been reneged on.
Moreover, there was a lack of communication about these changes for active users of the Optimize app.
And now you have to pay $50 a month to access that legacy content and new content.Show lessLordy May

I took my time with the app before I wrote this review because I needed to experience it as part of my daily life for awhile. I can say without doubt this app has everything you need for where you are at in your life. Need daily reminders of goals around energy (health/wellness), work, and love - this app makes it easy for you to do that. Need to present to your leadership and stand in front of a room of execs you’ve never met before - this app has tools for that (literally helped me deliver a successful presentation to a board of directors and the c-suite - a first for me. Between the meditation training and the masterclass on public speaking, I was set.) Need to make resolutions your way of life ongoing? Need to know how to increase your energy? How to build habits that stick, how to lead a team effectively? This app is for you. It really does have everything for everyone at every time and stage of your life. It’s been life changing for me and if you spend some time with it, it will be life changing for you too! I loved it so much I also became a Heroic coach which has helped me so much in my career. Love the methodology, would love to see offline mode
I loved Optimize Coach and am a big fan of the app. I use it daily and I think it’s been a great way for me to put into practice everything I learned from Optimize Mastery series. The vision, the purpose, the ambition for Heroic is amazing, and I’ve been a founding member since I first heard of the idea.
One thing I feel is badly needed to be brought to the app is an offline mode. Often times I want to be away from my phone (indeed this is stressed by Brian), but I still want to swipe targets. While I can wait until later, I often forget and miss out on the social engineering of the hit of dopamine from the target swipe. I keep an old phone without service as an iPod specifically for just Heroic and Oura, but it doesn’t work if I’m off WiFi.
As much as I appreciate trying to turn our addictive technology into a force for good, having Heroic tied to my cell phone still just provides too much cognitive dissonance/conflicting purposes. I’ll of course make do without Offline mode, but I’d love to see it so I can dedicate one old phone to be an Arete machine :)Show lessjbey20
