  • Good app, but needs time zone option!

The app doesn’t let me switch from Pacific time, and it makes auction close times confusing.
The app interface itself works well.
  • Great when it works

Every time I try to search things I am able to only see about 20 or so items and then it refuses to load more. The search will say there are over 600 results but never lets me see more than 20. If this was fixed it would improve the app.
  • App is great but buyer beware

Goodwill in PA doesn’t wrap well for shipping. I just got my order and it was broken. It’s a fun app however you need to decide if you want to pay a lot in shipping and then run the risk of it getting broken. Also some goodwills are really good at measurements on their listing and others there’s nothing and then you get the item and it’s miniature. There are good deals but be selective!
  • Overall a bad app

Goodwill in general is not the best because they do price thing higher then a thrift store should. This app isn’t any different, having unique and fun items listed above what they are worth second hand, but the shipping is also terrible. For a company that makes an astonishing amount of money, you would think they would have a better price range for shipping.
What makes this app worse then shopping in person is the constant bugs and issues. The app constantly is freezing or kicking you off. The notifications either don’t show up or show up hours late. The app constantly breaks down and says it needs an update when there are none available.
  • Self invest

You're making plenty of money on this app and it's been around for quite a few years already so it's time to fix all the problems with it they've been there since the beginning like the search function you can't click the magnifying glass or hit enter to search you have to hit the word search?.. come on you're wasting your users time, time they could be buyingPick up only items need to be labeled before you open the item and it should also say before you open the item where you have to pick it up. The back button goes all the way back to the homepage instead of back one stepThat's a racing whatever you have done in between enable. Enable search history.
  • Freezes up

Very frustrated at this app. I was outbid toward the end of an auction and when I went to submit a higher bid, the app froze up until after the auction ended, causing me to lose out on an item I wanted. The categories in the search function also routinely get messed up. Plus they charge ridiculous shipping and handling fees, as many others have complained about.
  • Goodwill Adds An App For Shoppers!

This can turn out to be a great investment by Goodwill for their customers and their business. I will be looking forward to continue to shop with Shop Goodwill.
  • Most expensive shipping methods and wait weeks to ship

The site would be good in theory but they use FedEx (the most expensive shipping company and also they charge handling fees. They also take WEEKS to ship sometimes after payment. I’ve had $7 items cost over $25 after shipping and handling, absolutely atrocious. On top of that the site seems to always be down for maintenance, has no push notifications for when an auction is ending and feels like Ebay back in 1995.
  • Constant Glitching

Even though it wasn’t as nice looking, I much prefer the app the way it used to be. Every time I scroll through items it glitches and then adds %20 before the brand or item I put in the search bar. It’s not even usable like this. Guess I’ll just be using my computer and browser from now on!
  • Love Goodwillshopping!

Happy they now have an app so I can update before an auction ends since I typically bid the last 15 seconds:-), why? Because people are drawn to what other people want driving up a price leading to a bidding war. So I wait. Many times have snagged a deal and other times lost because others were doing they same thing I was doing:-) and time ran out before I could place another bid. If your looking for items up for auction at your local goodwill just use the advanced feature and search location and can also search by pick up only. Many good items are put up for auction so they are no longer found in a local store. But don’t blame Goodwill for using wisdom and getting more money for their items. I still always get items much cheaper than on eBay! One tip ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check shipping cost before bidding since some goodwills inflate the cost making a item too expensive. Many have fair shipping prices ( but always check) and their packing is excellent!
