I have really enjoyed my Bloom. I eat more vegetables just so I have more scraps and can use my machine. It works great and I do a load almost every day!
Literally just downloaded the app but when I launch the app I'm greeted by a message: "A Lomi app update is here. Please visit the app store to update."
There is nothing to update from the app store -- moreover it is a first time download so it should've pulled/downloaded the latest version. What a disappointment.

The app isn’t too bad… Needs to be cleaned up a bit. The text is too big for some of the modules, so letters need to wrap and stack on top of each other. Love the impact feature, which shows the impact you’re making per Lomi cycle.
Overall, I would give the Lomi unit 4 stars & the app 3 stars
I love the machine, every time I run it makes me so happy. And being able to see the progress and every detail in the app makes it even better.
I tried reviewing on lomi website and Amazon and they won’t let me.
The lomi is an amazing idea and as a person that already composts obviously I had to have one.
But they advertise the lomi as being good for houseplant and no it is not. I use it and add the new dirt to my gardens but every single time I have added the dirt to my houseplants the dirt would get moldy. Every time!
Some will say you need more brown but no I already only fill my lomi half way with egg carton scraps or brown paper bag scraps every time I use it. If I need more than this again the lomi will be useless.
I haven’t noticed any benefit to my gardens from this but I feel good about not throwing out my scraps.

We're sorry to hear about your less than ideal experience using the Lomi dirt. It sounds like you're doing everything right in terms of the input, but perhaps can optimize how to mix this dirt with your garden soil to maximize benefits. I've included the link below for some additional info, but our recommendation is a healthy mix of soil with the Lomi Dirt so the food scraps can properly integrate into the soil.

Hi cdzuff , glad to hear you were able to successfully register in our new flow. Our app is aimed to provide as much helpful information to users, as well as support the new IOT connected Bloom unit.
We currently have no advertising in the app as a way to maximize our features and user experience. No actual ability to register product or other information other than to spend more money on Lomi stuff. I like the product. This app is trash.
I’ve owned my Lomi for a little over 2 months and I love how I can create beautiful garden soil with what I would normally put in the trash. It just feels good to do this ! I wish I could post a picture of how much compost our family has made so far. I am storing it in an 8’ diameter container and have filled it to the brim. ( I added a bag of worm castings to help the compost mature). I encourage anyone who 1. Loves to garden 2. Has houseplants 3. Is concerned about uneaten food going to landfills. Every action helps as our planet does NOT expand as our population does. When I was 20 years old there were 3 billion people on Earth. Now, close to 8 billion. Hopefully our every day lives can reflect concern for providing for everyone. This appliance helps. Not in a gigantic way but in combination with other mindful ideas ….anyway I love my Lomi .
I’m sure it was just an oversight that it’s not clear this is for Lomi Bloom owners only?

The new app version is indeed for both Classic & Bloom users! While some of the features are Bloom only, the functionality for Classic users includes everything that could be done with App Version 1.0 and more!!
The reason some of the features only work for Bloom, is that Classic does not have the hardware needed to connect to wifi and send cycle information to the App.
