  • Scheduling seems broken

    I just installed my Frigidaire window air conditioner. I bought it specifically because it had WiFi and app controls. I downloaded this app and connected the air conditioner with no trouble. That’s the end of where things worked as designed.

    I tried to register my unit with the app and the app says my unit is already registered. Considering it’s a brand new unit that was delivered today from the manufacturer I find that difficult to believe.

    More important however is the non stop beeping. I cannot use the schedule functionality because if I turn on a routine the air conditioner just keeps beeping then pausing then beeping some more. And it doesn’t ever stop. No one wants an appliance that won’t stop beeping. Especially not an air conditioner in their bedroom. And what’s the point of a WiFi air conditioner with an app on your phone if you can’t actually set up a routine?

    So basically, I can use the app as a remote control and that’s it.

  • Timer/Task Settings

    This new app does not seem to let me create a task to turn the AC off at a certain time, without also setting a “start” time. I like to leave my AC on before going to sleep and set it to turn off after an hour or two, which I used to do with the old app since start and stop were independent tasks.

    With this new app, I try to set a time for it to turn off, but I can’t create that task without also selecting a time for it to turn on, which I do not want since I do that manually depending on the day. It’s a little ridiculous that there isn’t just a standard timer button.

  • Lights won’t turn off any more

    New app came along and now there is a blazing bright light on the freezer door that we literally can’t control. The “night light” option in settings turns on the middle drawer light but won’t control the freezer door. It’s so bright at night we have to place a towel over it!

  • Does not allow for LAN only

    This app requires changes to be sent to the Internet and then back down to the AC unit. I don’t know why the app can’t just control the unit over the local WiFi LAN without going over the internet. I have other AC units from other brands that allow this.

    This is lazy app development where we have to trade privacy and control and give it to big corporations just to use the device we bought. And guess what, they can just discontinue the app and/or shut down the cloud server anytime they decide you are using an old model and should upgrade. Thus removing the WiFi functionality all together.

  • Jerks at Frigidaire force upgrade to app that won’t work on my phone

    The Frigidaire app was buggy from the beginning, and I’ve used it for 3+ years. last year, and update finally fixed all the problems and everything was working again. Now, when I login, it says I can’t use the old app and must update to the new one.

    Unfortunately, the new one requires iOS 16, and my older Iphone will not run that iOS. So I can no longer use the app to remotely turn on or shut off my air-conditioner.

    Frigidaire are a bunch of jerks.

  • App remote

    Having this app remote makes life so much easier. It was easy to download and connect. The original remote was extremely small and fragile. So I am so glad that I am able now to control my air conditioner with such ease. As for the AC, it keeps my room, nice and cool. I am extremely happy with the purchase of the air conditioner and the download of the Remote control. I recommend this purchase and download to everyone.

  • App won’t work

    I was forced to download this app from Frigidaire 2.0 (which I NEVER had issues with) and this app never works for me. First I couldn’t sign in because it couldn’t find my account with my email address. So I tried to create an account with that same email address only for it to tell me there’s already an account associated with it. Password reset. Email came in. Reset my password. Tried to sign in and kept getting the “Something went wrong. Don’t worry, we’re working on it.” message. Finally let me sign in just for it to say the same thing and not let me add my air conditioner to my account. Deleted and redownloaded the app to see if it’ll work. And then I couldn’t sign in because it can’t find the account. Went to create a new account (with the aforementioned email address) and I just keep getting the “Something went wrong. Don’t worry, we’re working on it.” message again. Please fix this issue. I never had this problem with Frigidaire 2.0, which I now can’t even use anymore. Don’t force customers to download your “newer and better” app when it isn’t even working?

  • Why did you turn off the old app before the new app supports all functions?

    I relied on the old app to set independent START and STOP functions. This is necessary to keep my AC running 24/7 during the hottest months - and necessary to get around the 4 event limit built into my 2023 Frigidaire AC.

    This new app is pretty and well organized but won’t let me create or edit events without having both a START and STOP function. An issue that didn’t matter as long as I had access to the old app. Support for which ended this week.

    Please fix this. Or I’ll be forced to abandon Frigidaire for my next AC purchase. After an unbroken chain of nearly 10x AC and heat pump units, over the last 15 years.

  • So convenient!

    I love the app! I can adjust my air conditioner from anywhere, even across the country. I love that if I am already in bed and forgot to turn it down, I can grab my phone off my nightstand and adjust it without having to get back up. The app is the best thing ever!

  • Can’t add dehumidifier to create Tasks

    Downloaded the new app. Removed my smart dehumidifier and re-added it. The task tab doesn’t give the option to add the appliance. Does this app not support Tasks for Fridgidaire’s smart dehumidifiers? We have an office in our basement and would like to be able to schedule for the dehumidifier to be off during the day and turn back on at night. Sometimes we forget to turn it back on and it results in a very humid basement. Would be great to be able to “set it and forget it.”

    Hi, Our dehumidifiers have not been able to support task before. But that will change soon. We are currently working on a solution that takes the whole tasks functionality to dehumidifiers as well
