  • I returned the camera soley because of this app

The camera itself is pretty easy to use and setup. It comes with all the hardware you need to setup the camera AND keep the cable out of view.

The camera uses a WIFI connection that’s required, and you need to be connected to this connection to start recording and to download videos. My wife’s almost brand new iPhone 13 couldn’t even load the main screen to begin the recording process, and my new iPhone 13 pro max lagged HARD during use. Getting a video is a pain, and it won’t record automatically.

Save yourself the hassle. Get another camera.
  • Very easy to use

    Quality camera and software
  • Horrible App

God forbid you have an accident and need to download the video from your dashcam using this app. I almost had an accident and tried to download the video to go over the incident and it would not download. Then I tried just viewing the video on the app and it wouldn’t even play. I’m not sure if it’s the app or the camera or both, but overall horrible experience.
  • Awful interface between camera and app

Videos will never load. Wifi connection is always weak no matter which geolocation. App crashes and half the time the camera will not connect to phone. Severely disappointed as this was a $100+ camera to have such a garbage application to run with it. FIX YOUR PRODUCT ROVE! Such an investment to have such a horrible app.
  • App Crashes when Turning On/Off Record

First time user. I installed the app on a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max and I was able to have it connect fine. As soon as I go to record the app crashes. No issues with the actual camera. Rove spend some serious money to improve the app and you will lead the industry. Cameras are a dime a dozen but the app environment is not great across the entire landscape.
  • Horrible playback

When your trying to review clips, the playback would constantly buffer or not even load up. I’m in a very good signal and it’s still buffering. It’s the same issue for this app and the other app but the other app is slightly better for playback. Either use a micro SD to computer or download the clip to your phone.
  • App is a pain

Working with this app is not a pleasant experience.

The user has to go through a set up process to enable and use WI-FI every time (which wouldn’t be so bad if the connection was as spotty as it is).

Trying to wade through videos is also a complete mess as they aren’t listed by date to make finding the video you need more intuitive. And that’s IF the app doesn’t just lock up all together (which it will).

You’re better off just fishing through videos by taking the micro-SD card to a computer instead.

The WORST part is that this app also reflects badly on the dash cam it is designed for, which also has its share of issues (some serious).
  • Great Dashcam…

I’m a truck driver an It really is a great dashcam an I love that it swivel’s also your able to download any video from your phone to your photo library instead of using a laptop or an sd card, it’s so convenient…
  • Easy to work

I find it very easy to connect and work with the camera.
  • Why all photos access?

First of all this app crashes all the time. Sometimes it says I have no videos in the library when I know there are. I just have to keep force closing the app until it finally brings them up. When it does start working it will be great because it’s far better than the old app. My main concern is “access to all photos”. Why? In the older app it only required “add photos only” to work. Why the change? There’s no reason why full access to my library is necessary because I will only be adding videos.
