This app stinks
The functionality of the camera itself is fine. But forget about getting any use out of the app through your phone. Downloading the videos without 5Guw, forget about it. Since the update to the new app all of a sudden I no longer am able to take my videos from the sd card to my iPad. Persistent “unknown error.” I’m sure I need to format the card now but I will lose all my videos…Phanatic_
Forced to use my mobile number!?
This app forces you give your private mobile number to sign up. That makes it dead on arrival for me. Sorry but gonna wait tell this isn't a requirement anymore. I shouldn't be forced to share private contact info just to use an app to download video to me phone.lazywerewolf
Too much trouble too use
If you want to link your phone to the dash cam you have to go through a whole chain of steps on the camera and your phone EACH time you start up your vehicle. It’s time consuming, inconvenient and just not worth the trouble. I’m very disappointed since the R4-2 was advertised as being WiFi connected. My dash cam is attached to the upper right corner of my windshield. So going through the required process to enable and connect the WiFi each time I get in the car is very convenient. They should simplify the process and enable the WiFi settings to be maintained so you can just start up your car and go.Irwingood
No videos shown in files
Rove family please correct me if I m wrong but I really disappointed from your dashcam it connected properly to the app. My dashcam shows that app recording live video but In actual it wasn’t there is nothing in dashcam videos files so I don’t know what to do please suggest me thanksDiamond Transportation
Some stuff works
I am able to connect to the camera, but it sometimes disconnects on me. I can see the live feed and a list of videos but it will not play or download them. Most I got was 50% downloaded then it froze. I can also adjust the setting just fine.cdlawrence
You’re getting there
After installing a new unit yesterday I was unable to connect it through the Wi-Fi. After today’s BETA version I can look at the videos and control the settings. I still can’t get the live feed. It also wouldn’t download the videos to my phone. The video quality of the camera is excellent.

Worthless
Absolutely a waste of time. Downloaded app tried to login using my existing Rove login. Says no user with that name. Created another login with same credentials then could login. Immediately begins recording something but not from dash am as it is hundreds of feet away. When moving around app it crashes. After 10 or so crashes I uninstalled the app. Hope whoever developed the application stays away from thw dash am production area or the perfectly fine dash cam business will suffer. Don’t waste your time loading this app.mvalore
Long time coming
This refresh has been a long time coming and I think it is well worth the wait. Everything is intuitive for me and I can whip through the settings on the new app and camera easily. Common sense thru out the app and now I don’t hesitate to change or experiment with a setting or function. Thanks guys for a great and welcome upgrade!Walltx
