  • Doesn’t work

Was excited to connect my iPhone to the cameras Wi-Fi but when I do it’ll say no internet connection in my Wi-Fi settings but it’s connected to the camera. I can access the video folder but it doesn’t play the videos. I wasted a lot of time trying to get the videos to play but they won’t. I also clicked on update firmware and nothing happens but all the other buttons work. I love my camera but the app is the worst. Don’t download.
  • New dash cam

The app has and stores a lot of information but it is not easy to traverse. Some links do not work such as the update firmware button. Press it and NOTHING. The app only works when you are within 10 meters (how many feet is that) of the camera.

So far it has a great quality picture but i cannot get it to playback on my phone or anywhere else.

I will be the first to admit that all of this could be operator error but I'm not new to the tech world.

Going to call now to see if I can get some assistance.
  • App Slowwww

The app is RIDICULOUSLY slow. You have to be connected to the dash Wi-Fi, which then says “no connection”, even though it’s connected. Videos take FOREVER to view, it just has a black screen with an orange waiting circle and download time is even longer than that. I wouldn’t even be able to rely on a video to load if needed for an emergency
  • Eh

I was looking for a camera that would continuously send the videos to my phone but you have to connect to the wifi on the camera to search through the videos. Now mind you that’s not troubling but if you want to save these videos it takes FOREVER. I bought a separate adapter for my phone so I can just pop the SD card in there and load everything that way. This is the fastest way I’ve gotten this to work. God forbid someone hit me and I have to wait an hour for the video to load over the wifi. Save yourself some time and buy an adapter that goes with your phone or buy a Nexar dash cam instead. Also….living in Texas, the camera overheats and the entire screen turns black until it cools off.
  • Trash

This camera has only worked once for me and the Apple never connect to the camera anymore. It’s frustrating and I’ve done everything the directions have asked and again I’ve only gotten to see one video that I’ve looked for otherwise it won’t load
  • Great app and camera

I had issues with it crashing when I first got it when signing in, but an update fixed it. The app for a cameras is what determines if I keep it or not for me. This is definitely a great app. Doesn’t feel clunky and is responsive with all inputs like changing a setting or downloading someone directly on your phone. R3 has great quality aswell.
  • Can’t set settings through app

The touch screen is nice but some of the buttons are so small, it takes several tries to press correct spot. Using app to set settings would be easier but everytime I go into settings…. Crash. I’ve updated firmware on cam, used different phones with different versions of iOS. Same conclusion. CRASH🤦🏽‍♂️
  • Great App and a Fantastic Camera

Just finally installed my R3 that I purchased back during the presale, I’m an OTR driver and I have used several of the ROVE products and I have found the cameras and the staff at ROVE to go above and beyond! Andy Rove has an excellent staff that is customer driven and it shows in the quality of this product!
  • Never connects

This app has never successfully connected my phone to my dash cam. I’ve read some of the work arounds to get everything connected but seriously? If you have to do a work around every single time you want to connect then the app does not deserve a decent rating. Seamless connection should be priority #1. Right now, this app is completely useless.
  • Terrible connection

I am a reasonable person, I'll tell you directly what needs updating from my personal experience.

First the connection between the phone and camera is terrible. I was right outside my car testing this on my phone (failed to capture me in the video (so it froze).)

This next part comes to the R2-4K device its self. The needing to physically turn on Wi-Fi on the device is dangerous and bullhonkey.
If you got a stranger scoping out your car but can't see them. I personally would like to see them on my phone with full control. So the connection distance comes into play as being terrible.
