Good app, crappy rewards
OpenTable is easy to use and very convenient to book restaurants with. I wish there were an easy way to default your search by distance rather than having to look at a map.
I’ve been using OpenTable for many years and never redeemed points. It’s too difficult, there are not a lot of options to redeem in Canada and your points expire regularly. I have made hundreds of bookings on the app and it ticks me off how quickly your points expire if you don’t use them.

Reservations are a joke here!!!
May reservations for our anniversary and we made it to the restaurant at 7 PM which hour reservation was at 7:30 PM. When inside and was told that they were two hours behind and they can give us a wait time. It was people that made it there for their 6:30pm reservation still waiting an 1hour and 40 minutes later. Even though the host was nice she couldn’t answer not one of my questions. Still had to pay for Valet, which was crazy when the restaurant didn’t honor their reservations. (Which I didn’t mind to pay the valet) I called ahead of time to make sure that everything was going as planned because I was sitting in the long line trying to valet part and I was told to come in to check in and after they parked the car I was told that they couldn’t get us in. I understand being short of staff, but yesterday was ridiculous just for a party of 2. I would never make reservations here again. They really need to come up with an new system to honor there reservation guest. We end up making reservations at Dakota’s steak house while sitting and waiting on our name to be called. Dakota’s took us at 9:30pm and sat us as soon as we made so you can see how long we sat and waited. It was overly crowded didn’t give the vibe from the website very loud.

We had a wonderful time, the service was absolutely fantastic, the food and drinks were amazing, our waitress Susan was the best!! She definitely went above and beyond my expectations, the manager Louie made sure we had a amazing time, after all we we were celebrating my 60th birthday 🎉🎂 Thankyou again for a beautiful dining experience, and so happy that we made 2 new friends.

We love scheduling our lunch and dinner dates, through open table. But, being spontaneous to book a reservation in the area for any meal is always available too!
