  • Use for business

Have been using line2 for several years now. Once I figured out how to extend the number of rings before voicemail (config on web) this app has been good. Works reasonably reliably and meets my needs fairly well. I wish it had a separate contact list so I would not need to have personal and business contacts merged. Also wish the call log would not appear in the regular phone app's list merged with the call log from the primary phone number. It also occasionally does not ring but instead sends calls to voicemail even though I'm on a strong, reliable network connection.

  • LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP.

I’ve been using this app for around ten years now and I’ll have to say that in all that time, my relationship with the app is still a love/hate one. I use the app almost every day and I use it often, it really serves me very well, but then again, there these little annoying things that really gets on my last nerve, like the fact that you can’t adjust the keyboard volume with out adjusting the volume on the entire device, so The Whole world has to know that you are dialing a number, (2) The WIFI signal strength does dot show up unless the called party answers the phone, so you never know if you even have enough signal strength to even make the call. (3) If you dial a number and the called party does not answer the phone, the dialed number does not show up in your Recents call list. (4) Right now, since this last update, when dialing a number from your contact or recent call list, the software seems to take for ever to acquire the dialing UI, and there are several other little quirks that I will not mention. I do believe that with a little effort, these are all things that the developers can easily fix if they wanted to. But in spite of all that, I still think it’s a great app and would highly recommend it, so go ahead and give it a whirl for 30 days for free, what have you got to lose? You may just find that you like it.

  • Currently Experiencing Issues Since Newest Update

I have been using this app for several years now and over the span of those years I have occasionally had some minor issues with this app. However, the most recent update is giving me more issues than normal and is causing me to lose in coming calls.

Example, when I go to place a call now there is a delay before the call is initiated, making you think it did not take, so you click it again, and again, then all of a sudden it pops up with all these calls attempting to be in queue. At that point you attempt to cancel them or hang up the calls, but they won’t close. 2nd example, more calls are being dropped than usual, there are a few more issues but i have only addressed the major problem ones, at least during my use of new update.

The other thing that lags is the new missed call pop up that appears if you miss a call. Calls that come in ring once then drop off, no warning. And no, my call session is not set to 1 ring, it is at least 5 before it should be answered.

Although I have these issues currently, I still overall like this app, maybe because it has been very good up until now.

  • Horrible app

I purchased this app so I can have another line on my phone, however when I was sending texts, most of them didn’t go through. When I contacted customer service, they were taking too long to respond, asking me to do a lot of work for them, for example to do tests for them to see if it’s fixed and it wasn’t fixed. It took hours from my part to help them resolve the issue and they never resolved it. This app is unreliable because you wouldn’t even know if the person has received your text or not. It’s 50/50, I know because I did endless tests on my personal phone. When I asked them to reimburse me, they refused saying they can’t since iTunes had charged me. So, really, it’s a waste of your 10$ and also they make it automatic renewal for you to continue paying and in order to remove it, you have to go through many steps, which is also a hassle. Do not recommend!

  • Honest Opinion

Overall it’s one of my favorite apps to use as a second line but my only complaint is that it’s really slow when it comes to opening text messages and sending them. I don’t know if it’s the app on my processor but I have an iPhone 7 Plus so Aside from sending text messages on this app my phone is lightning fast still to date. I still recommend the app if it’s just for casual use. It beats buying a second phone. Butted if you Frequently text multiple people simultaneously during ur day-to-day than this app won’t keep up with you. Oh and if your phone is on “LOW POWER MODE” you won’t receive ANY notifications if the app isn’t open. (I missed some really important messages that were time sensitive that way) 🤦‍♀️

  • Great solution for small business

It is really great to have just one app in which I can manage all of my business calls, texts, and voicemails because I can monitor it closely during business hours and ignore it after hours. There is no pressure to change the number when I change phones. It just solved the whole problem of how people contact me to do business.

If you are familiar with renting a mailbox to to get a postal address for your small business, this app is exactly like that in the context of getting a business phone number. It just solves the problem for you in one step.

The price is very fair because the solution just works.

  • I’ve been looking for this solution for a while

This is a fantastic way to combine two phone lines on one phone! I’ve been using my corporate phone for five years now and didn’t want to lose my personal phone number. So I was paying a monthly service fee to Verizon to simply forward all of my calls. From time to time I would price other services but the savings didn’t seem worth the hassle of switching over. One day I searched online to see if anyone else had similar problems and came across the Line2 website. At first I thought it was too good to be true so I did my research, read reviews, looked them up on BBB, etc. it was exactly what I was looking floor! It was very easy to enroll and port my number over to them the app is user-friendly and does everything I would want to do. The only thing I would change is that when a call comes in from my personal line, the caller ID doesn’t work. It just says that the call is coming from me. But that’s a relatively insignificant thing against everything else it does. I love this service and recommend it to everyone who has to carry two phones!!

  • Line 2 is just great as placeholder personal line

I always have company phones- my last employer let me keep number- new one said they would not, didn’t want to tell all my personal contacts I had new number, especially if I was going to need to change it again when I left new job. Line 2 allows me to keep old number and call text from it on new company phone. And not have to carry another device or have another cell plan (new company phone has unlimited cell data) all for 90 bucks a year!
