  • Needs apple car play support

Works great, I wish use it more if integrated with apple car play.
  • Good but can be better

Pretty good and like the sleep timer. What would be better is an alarm wake-up feature that could play specific playlist or radio station
  • DS audio

Great app. If you could import iTunes playlists it would be amazing.
  • Nice app but need iPhone Xs Max support

The app is very good for listening to music linked from the NAS but now with the Xs Max phone the functionality is hard to use as it cuts into the top of the screen and unable to use the app properly now. Please update the apps to be Xs Max compatible.
  • Buggy

    Buggy
When music stops the Play icon remain at “||”
You can’t tell if it is still buffering or it stopped .

Not updated for IOS 12 and IPhone X’s Max ...
  • Good for on streaming music

But not so good for managing downloaded songs. When you made changes to playlist on server , you have to redownload the whole list for the new changes. What a stupid design. Playlist download has been around for 3 years and nobody thought about adding this function?
  • It fails from time to time

When it works it is good. But from time to time it either fails to connect to the server or it fails to play the music (even browsing seems ok). I have to reboot the NAS server to correct the problem.
  • Slow to log in and slow to switch tracks

I use this to access my music library on my Synology NAS when away from home. Log in normally takes a couple of attempts and switching between tracks can take 5 or 10 seconds, even with high speed connections both ends. I’m not sure if a lot of this is down to a recent update to DSM and Audio Station as well, but it’s all part of the package you need to use DS Audio anyway and needs to be looked at.

  • Functional but clunky and outdated

This app works well in that it displays music stored on your Synology NAS, and I do like that it allows for personal music libraries for each user. However...

This app has kept the same basic design for the last few years that I’ve been using it, which would be fine, if it weren’t so clunky and awkward to get to basic functions. For example, one would expect to be able to scroll to the top of a list, pull the list down a little more, and for ‘search’ to be right there - but no, it’s in the main menu. Why????

There’s also no way to open the app and have it default to the “all music” page, or to customise the layout of the app, or an obvious way (if at all) way to create playlists while offline from the NAS.

The whole app design is reminiscent of Apple’s “iPod” app on the first few versions of the iPhone. This app needs a redesign to bring it out of 2009 and into 2018.

Great job on the actual functionality though. Downloading music locally is a synch, and everything is displayed correctly. 3/5

  • works good with one flaw....

The app still runs even after it is closed on the iphone. Had to uninstall the app in order for the music to stop when connected to bluetooth.
