  • App is garbage

    This app is insanely unstable and doesn’t work half the time. That being said the taskers are great.
  • App glitches on ipad

    When picking a category and entering in my address, I can't seem to move forward or click and continue. And clicking the X in the corner takes almost a minute before the page is cleared.
  • Unfair Billing Practices and Poor Communication

    I recently used TaskRabbit for what should have been a straightforward job: installing a light fixture and two towel holders. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The tasker performed both tasks during the same visit, but I was unexpectedly charged for two separate two-hour minimum sessions, resulting in a bill that was almost double what I expected.

    At no point did TaskRabbit or the tasker clearly communicate that these tasks would be billed separately, even though they were done consecutively in one session. The total cost was exorbitant—$180 for a light fixture installation and $160 for mounting two towel holders—far beyond what is reasonable for such simple tasks.

    To make matters worse, when I raised these concerns with TaskRabbit, they implied that my lack of immediate objection during the task was consent to the charges. This feels like a classic case of poor communication leading to an unfair billing practice.

    I would advise anyone considering TaskRabbit to be extremely cautious and clarify all billing details upfront, as the company seems to prioritize profit over transparency and customer satisfaction. Sadly, I cannot recommend TaskRabbit based on this experience.

  • Task rabbits a scam

    They charge a protection/service fee every hour alongside the tasked fee increasing the bill tremendously as they set it at a % they determine I believe is between 15-10% my last service with task rabbit will be my last as I’m uninstalling the app. The fee was like an additional $10+ on top of the service man’s fee of $40+ the man wasn’t experienced in the work he was doing. He didn’t even bother reading the task description or message I clearly detailed I wanted tinted window film added to my single split window. The film was applied with many bubbles and my boyfriend helped him apply it and the service man didn’t even bother cleaning the window before applying the film ! Not as bad as the service man who took 3 days to put up blinds and milked us for over 8 hours of work daily! I’ll find a more reliable app that has replicable services available at better or fairer prices. Also Taskrabbit never returned my email for help asking for the service fee and why it was applied every hour instead of a flat fee them getting a cut of over $50 for a service fee, for every service is bull if you ask me. I thank god nothing went terrible on the tasks because the horror stories of taskers ruining peoples home and Taskrabbit saying they cannot help is bull also so what’s with that dumb fee?!???   • TaskRabbit: Where Reliability Takes a Vacation and Never Returns

    TaskRabbit, the epitome of unprofessionalism and unreliability. If you're looking for a service that will consistently disappoint and leave you high and dry, look no further.
    My experience with TaskRabbit has been an exercise in frustration and wasted time. Three times, I've scheduled cleaning services through their platform, and three times, I've been left scrambling at the last minute because the maid decided she had better things to do.
    It's bad enough to have your plans thrown into disarray by a cancellation, but what's truly maddening is the complete lack of consequences for these flaky maids. They can bail on appointments with impunity, leaving customers like me in the lurch, and TaskRabbit doesn't bat an eyelash.
    And don't even get me started on TaskRabbit's customer service – or lack thereof. When I reached out for assistance after yet another cancellation, I was met with nothing but indifference and excuses. It's clear they have no interest in actually helping their customers or holding their so-called "taskers" accountable.
    TaskRabbit's motto should be "We'll be there for you... until we're not." Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this sham of a service. There are plenty of other platforms out there that actually value their customers' time and deserve their hard-earned money. TaskRabbit isn't one of them.

  • Let down

    I used airtasker to do some work around the house, 4 cancelled on me and one didn’t show up but charged me.
    Well customer service was understanding and helpful in getting my refund but what i found not practical with this app is that you get charged before even starting a conversation with a tasker so although you are charged on your card they could cancel and you have to wait for refund. I prefer airtasker and check a trader because the trader choose and make an offer. Anyway after soo many disappointments i am deleting my account.

  • Awful!

    I wish I could give zero stars… service was shocking from someone without experience or skill. After telling me they had just been fired from somewhere and only been working at this company for a week, they broke the furniture. When I complained to TaskRabbit I was told to simply cancel the task to avoid having to pay, but then was told I could not be offered any compensation for broken items because I didn’t pay for the task. So I’m left having to replace damaged parts myself, incur the cost and have wasted hours and hours on this. I just wanted to make life with a young baby slightly easier and instead I have made it a lot harder 😂 won’t be using this service ever again!! They were also rude and unhelpful in their aftercare. Rubbish!

  • Task charged my credit card even after Eina said they would not charge.

    Task charged my credit card even after Eina said they would not charge. Jason was difficult, did not listen to what I wanted, he showed up 8 minutes late and immediately cut me off to start telling me what he was going to do instead of asking what I wanted done. While he was stepping past me and talking about his plans he picked up my equipment including my pencil and measuring tape and started marking on my wood that I had bought....very unprofessional. I told him to stop because he had not heard what I wanted done, he cut me off and said 'do you want me to leave?' I answered YES! He did not leave and started making aggressive body movements. I told him I wanted him to leave my house and I placed the cancel order. I had to call the police because Jason did not leave 10 minutes later after I asked him to go, he was looking around my garage and just stopping in certain spots...kinda creepy. He finally got in his car in my garage after I got on the phone with the police. I walked out to the drive way and Jason revved his car and sped up the car towards me, hitting the breaks on his car only feet away from me....I was scared by his crazy behavior and I'm having second thoughts about using task rabbit.

  • Truly Terrible Service

    I wish I could give zero stars! Numerous cancellations, one of them just 10 minutes before he was due to arrive. Ikea should cease their partnership with these cowboys. I ended up putting the ikea furniture together myself, almost breaking my back in the process.

    Update following Taskrabbits reply:
    It’s no surprise I received the bog standard reply with no human interaction. They didn’t even ask me to get in touch with details or that they would investigate. They truly don’t care about customer service or the quality (or work ethic) of those on their platform. Trust me, use one of the other platforms, where they do care about not letting their paying customers down!
