It is alright
It isn’t the cheapest insurance. But, it surely isn’t the worst. Liberty mutual raises the price of insurance when anything happens to your vehicle. Let’s say you pay 200$ a month for full coverage insurance. If you get your car totaled by a flood etc. expect your insurance to double over the course of two years and maybe even triple. I happened to get a dui after a hail storm totaled my jeep and Liberty mutual after 5 years still wants over double the cost of my original price. I wouldn’t trust them after the way I’ve been treated. Also they offer a discount for safe driving, but it is only if you allow always on precise tracking of you phone. It is part of this app. There are no pods or usb offers for the tracking. So if you bring your phone with you and you travel by bus or a friend drives you somewhere. Their driving goes against your score. It is the worst design implementation of a safe driving system you could ever imagine. If you don’t have Liberty mutual I can not currently recommend it. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS
Started using liberty mutual just for my home insurance when I bought a new house. Which was $1,300 for a year. Within just 2 renewals they are now charging me $2,200. ALMOST DOUBLE IN 2 YEARS. Never once was I contacted about these increases either. Now for the REALLY SCUMMY PART THAT BORDERLINES INSURANCE FRAUD ON THEIR PART. I was changing my car insurance and looking to bundle my auto with my home insurance. And I was in an accident a few years ago where I was found to have 0 fault my insurance paid absolutely nothing and the women who rear ended me at a red light had to have her insurance pay it all. In moments where your insurance pays nothing and you are at no fault it is not suppose to affect your rates. Liberty mutual jacked up my quote because of it when I called one of their insurance sales agents he told me my current insurance filed the claim wrong and that I need to get a letter stating I was not at fault even though he could see it. I talked to other insurance companies including my current and they told me THESE COMPANIES MAKE THIS UP TO TRY AND SELL YOU IN THE MOMENT. He could see I wasn’t at fault and that’s all he needed to change my quote and he lied and made up some letter to try and charge me more money for insurance so they could make more commission. Complete scum bags if I can find the agents name I’m putting it in here he deserves to be fired though I know he won’t because liberty mutual probably trained him to scam people.

Worst app ever. Has never worked.
Anytime I try to use the app “Something went wrong, connectivity issues, please attempt again” and then it only gives the option to call roadside assistance. No matter if I have the best connection or Wi-Fi available, “something went wrong” and the app is literally useless. Then when you log in online instead of using the app they make it so you cannot remove a vehicle if you have sold it or do not drive anymore. You have to find some hidden number and go through all the “press 1 for this or 2 for that” until you finally get a human that will also delay what should simply be a “cancel auto policy” or “end policy” or any simple button like that which should be available on the app or on the website. Insurance is a scam and liberty mutual definitely takes full advantage of its “customers” while providing literally no service, I cannot even bring up my proof of insurance with the app and once you give them your payment method they will never stop charging and they will raise your rates without notice and you will be unable to edit because when you open the app “Something went wrong, connectivity issues” will always pop up instead of a working functional insurance app.
