Lost money

Impossible to get to anything without booking confirmation email. Didn’t receive any confirmation of booking! Cannot reach a human to discuss this on the app/ site as absolutely no contact info anywhere except short range ai! Seemed fraudulent site and app behaviour so tried to stop payment from my bank! Couldn’t do that and lost huge money as no way to connect to this vendor without booking id?! Very frustrated, and the convoluted sales pitches around use of AI to save themselves from any legalities?! Very disappointing.

Prices are not everything

This app is not well thought out. It doesn’t compare to the quality and user experience that Airbnb and Booking offer. Agoda needs to review user experience and work on the UI. It is frustrating to use this app vs competitors.

Horrible app, scam

Been fighting with Agoda for a refund for weeks after a horrible stay. The property was run down and did not reflect the photos in the listing. Agoda will not issue a refund automatically, while we gave photo proof of the horrible conditions as we could not stay there and checked out immediately. Bugs in the bed, leak in roof, black mold covering the walls of the room. Black pool , not to mention the dirty property. Agoda cannot reach the property and they refuse to give us a refund without property approval. This is unacceptable. They have horrible customer service and keep sending me surveys to fill out. I canceled 4 bookings with them because of this experience and will not be giving them anymore business. Waiting for my refund. Use booking.com instead

Very bad experience

Overcharged 13 percent for our hotel booking. I do not recommend to use Agoda.

App is a scam!

Don’t use this platform for booking anything. I contacted Customer service for help with a hotel booking and they did nothing to help. All I got was a oh sorry don’t want to help but we will take your 500$

They let scammers pose as a hotels to steal your money. DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM.

It won’t let me change the date of accommodation if I want to stay at one hotel for half of my trip.

Where you can do this thing on website. Please update the app.

Bookings

Customer service is beyond horrible! Their AI ONLY ANSWERS SET QUESTIONS. Obviously, one needs customer service to help one with a difficult question. Their page is unwieldy and designed to frustrate one so badly that you give up seeking help.

Useless App and service

Pretty useless customer service. App won’t let me delete account. Received notifications of booking made under my account (thankfully not my CC), no way to tell them to cancel it or it’s a fake booking.
Tried to let them know and also close my account. I never used it, might have signed up originally when I was looking at trips years ago. The website and app won’t let me close my account. Email there delete account email as instructed. They won’t do it and ask me to call there overseas number.
Update, they told me they can’t close the account because I had recent bookings. I told them I didn’t book them and the names the rooms are booked under are not my name or even the name on my account. Told them likely a fraudulent scam. They don’t seem to care, probably happy to just take the money. Even if these are fake or someone using stolen credit card details. No corporate moral compass. Scam company, highly not recommended.

Bad experience. There's better app.

Tried booking, made me go and send my credit card info and government ID. The annoying thing is that my credit card name and number is not on the same side of the card. So they dont accept it. They charge 10$ extra for the same hotel that I found in trips.com. Also, the app was buggy as hell, I can't cancel my booking trying saying I have duplicate booking. Bad app experience. I ended up using trips.com instead, it's fast no government info needed and it's much cheaper.

Worst customer service

I have over 100 booking with Agoda and my experience for past 2 years is not positive. 1- Your customer service representative in 90% of the time extremely rude and unprofessional and useless 2- Your price match guarantee is a scam, I have tried multiple occasions and always manipulated by your customer service team 3- Serious issues never resolved ( fake hotel pictures, really bad hotel condition, etc.. ) You basically just making money with ZERO care and understanding of your customers 4- You need to take serious action to take responsibility for the problem that you caused in my case for past 2 years. 5- improve your service and get rid of lots of bad customer representative in your company and START to care for your loyal customers experience.
