Wonder why there are so few reviews of a hotel?
I put up a negative review of a large because a hotel was not up to standard.
My review was deleted by agoda, the same place has thousands of reviews on TripAdvisor. So now I knew why it has only one on agoda, so if you have a 7 floor hotel, I’m sure you will get more than one.
Why did I give a negative review to this place, well the hotel claimed the could not find the booking but all was fine as it happens the whole time. 2hours after I left they said they were charging me £200 and that was some terms and conditions I never saw. The were also quite rude, tried to charge me for breakfast when I had paid.
For the price, the room was not great at all. So they were never going to get a good rating.
I’m not sure why agoda disliked this review, but it looks like they disliked all, bit of a scam really if you pick and choose what reviews you want.
Agoda was also useless at sorting out the issue, I have been waiting 3 weeks for them to resolve the issue. They keep closing it without resolving it, thankfully I booked on a credit card, but this should not be how you sort these things. Great app for finding cheap accommodation
I’ve been using this app to find cheap last-minute accommodation in South-East Asia & it’s been great.
Improvements would be to filter by places that offer breakfast, and female-only forms - this would save so much time scrolling through numerous properties looking for the one that offers you what you want/need.
Update: it would be useful to be able to contact Agoda through the app before making a booking - at the moment, you have to select the booking you want to contact them about, but if you have a query about that accommodation before you book it and there’s no option to contact them directly (sometimes there is, sometimes there isn’t), you have to go online to find Agoda’s email address and message them separately.
Also, it’s stated a few times under ‘what they offer’ that a place offers free breakfast when in fact they don’t, as stated in a different section - please rectify this.Show lessRazmatazi
Mis leading
Firstly, regardless of its faults, this app does seem to offer the cheapest deals on hotels I’ve found so far.
However there are some major flaws. First, don’t be rushed into booking because of the ‘% off today only’ tags on the hotels. These are false. A quick look at the hotels official website will show the actual price is far from 75% more expensive as Agoda often claims. I know from speaking to others that use this app that this has now actually been reported to the advertising standards agency an is being investigated.
Second, you can only book one room at a time unless you want two of the exact same rooms. Two doubles or two twins ect.
Apart from that the app is pretty decent and the taxi info section is a great ideaShow lessMrLee23
Horrible customer service
If I could give zero stars I would. The web site is confusing and when I inadvertently click a button when I was looking for a hotel 10 days in the future I was unable to cancel the reservation. I was immediately billed, even though the web site indicated I would be billed when I arrived at the hotel. I contacted customer service immediately and after several e-mails was assured my card would be credited. Two months later I am still being given the runaround. After contacting my credit card company I was initially given the credit, however, the hotel then told them they were never contacted about a refund and the charge stands even though agoda cancelled the reservation. My favorite hotel website
I use agoda almost exclusively because it’s the easiest to use with the best photos, info and filters. Would be awesome if I could book two different kinds of rooms at once. I recently booked a room for my parents at the same hotel with myself and my husband. My parents can afford a nicer room and I had to go through the checkout process twice because agoda won’t allow you to choose two different classes of rooms at the same time. Just a little annoyance. Also, I’d be so happy if we could sort hotels based on how highly people rate them. We can only do it based on price or hotel star rating. Stars aren’t nearly as important to me as customer satisfaction. Even if these things don’t change I’ll be a loyal customer, though. Thanks for having my back over and over, agoda!!!Show lessnoseesa
Needs work
This is a great app but many of the buttons doesn’t work such as PayPal. I called support and they told me you can either use a card or book somewhere else. In fact, my friend was also having issues with her PayPal button and couldn’t pay for her booking. She also said she had other customers using PayPal without any problems. I wasn’t trying to call for other customers I am calling for my issue and don’t want to be compared with what the other customers are doing? Every issues is different and just because someone have one issue and the other don’t, doesn’t make the the app amazing. This needs more work and so does some of the agent. Great Service
I try and use Agoda when ever I need accommodation no matter what country I’m traveling to. Always lots of information on the accommodation advertised and usually more than 1 option for each motel which is great because it gives you flexibility to change your booking if required. On 2 occasions now for reasons beyond my control ( ie: death in family and Tigerair cancelling all flights to Bail) Agoda has even gone the extra mile for me and got full refunds on accommodation that was no cancellation/refund or changes to travel dates. Just had to provide documentation verifying why I needed to cancel accommodation and within hours the money had been fully refunded. Big thumbs up to Agoda I’m 1 very happy customer.Show lessFixd wot
Easy to use
I have been using Agoda for a long time. Just use their mobile app for a reservation now. Works perfectly. Will definitely use the app again.
