  • Needs a big update

    Please update the app and add features like showing the online status and should also be visible if the other person is typing. There should be some indication about these
  • Locked out of account on new device

    Happily using the app for many years as an iPad-only messenger until I recently lost the device. Since I replaced the device, despite providing email, password and phone number for verification, Line will not allow me back into my account. Instead I get a message telling me to first change the settings on my old device… which of course cannot be done if it is lost!!

    I have had no trouble whatsoever verifying my ID with every other app I use, including banking ones. The fact Line is the only one preventing my re-entry suggests a serious flaw in the design itself which current and potential users should consider carefully. Being locked out unnecessarily in this way is extremely disruptive and frustrating.

  • Profile background pic

    Why are they always huge when selected? The full picture never fits to the screen as it doubles in size!! Even after selecting, if you click on the picture, most of it is missing as it’s zoomed in.
    This needs fixing otherwise, would’ve been 5 stars.
    Please don’t make it so others can see if we’re online or typing (from another review I just read), I use this app as it doesn’t have these things.
    A little privacy goes a long way!

  • Absolutely loved this app

    This app was a life saver to talk to people who you don’t want to share your phone number with. Say like if you want to trade things online and stuff.
    It has all the facilities like editing photos and stuff before sending, saving recordings, unsend things that you have accidentally shared or just simply want to delete once shared. You can also post some really cool status. It’s so fun! You can customise and avatar and use it in many ways which I loved the most 😍🥰
    The only thing I wished it had was showing online. It doesn’t show you if your friends are online or not like messenger and what’s app. So you don’t know when someone was last online or if they are current online and simply just ignoring you. So I would recommend line to improve their app and get this facility for its users. Apart from that it’s a super app!

  • Love it but there are things that need it be improved

    I have only used LINE for a short while and have loved my experience with the app so far, however there are a couple of things that would really enhance my experience. One of them is adding the typing notif in chat. Like how Snapchat/Insta lets u know when someone is typing, it would be amazing if were to add that feature bc convo would be able to flow more naturally and wouldn’t have to worry about cutting others off. I would also love if there was an easier way to get coins because other than buying them of receiving stickers as a card, I haven't been able to get any. I love the app but those are the two things that I would love to see fixed in the next update.

  • The sticker wont work

    When I type something the sticker indeed pop out based on the keyword that I typed in. But it will not let me use any of the stickers. I tried to tap it multiple times but it’s still not working, until now. Other than that, the sticker do still work only when I tap it from the sticker menu.

    I don’t remember since when I encounter this problem but it’s been quite a while—I do remember the problem first occurred when there’s a new LINE updates available. I appreciate it if you can help me with this problem since the sticker feature that I mentioned earlier are handy if I want to use a certain sticker quickly without even opening the sticker menu.

    Can someone help me?

  • Terrible support and back up system

    I've already lost my line chat history once because unlike other apps it didn't used to automatically back up your data and had to be done manually (which I didn't realise before logging into a new phone and thus lost everything).

    Now although it back ups automatically it's such a pain to transfer data, and their support is completely clueless on their own processes. I tried to restore my chats on my new phone once, which worked but all my chats were encrypted and got stuck on "decrypting" or letter sealing, so I tried again and found it kept telling me I had no chat history. I logged in on my old phone again and backed up my chats again, successfully, but for some reason my new phone couldn't find it. I tried all their support steps, updating my new phone, keeping icloud logged in and the drive on, restarting my phone, reinstalling the app etc. And eventually they just tell me if I don't have a backup I can't get my chats back. Useless.

    I ended up finding out myself that both phones need to be on the same version of iOS, so that includes updating the old phone too or keeping the new one on the same old version as the other phone. And it took me so long to be able to work this out where line knew nothing. Such a nightmare to transfer data unlike whatsapp which is so much easier to just log in and be done. Line is also missing many updated and modern text app features... quite outdated and hard to use compared to other apps.

  • Update pls

    This app should have the feature of seeing someone typing to avoid confusion and people texting at the same time
  • DO NOT USE THIS APP

    I’ve been using this app for almost 2 yrs to send and receive extremely private data, emails, contracts etc. One day I logged in and out too many times, which is odd in itself given I should be able to do that, resulting in me being locked out of my account for an unforeseen amount of time. After emailing customer service I was told it was now a security issue and no further details can be shared with me. It’s been a week and not only am I unable to access my account and all of the saved info I need I’m also being told that details of when I will be able to access my account can not be shared with me. So maybe another week. Maybe another month. Maybe never.
    2 years of Contacts, messages, and essential information gone just like that. An app so secure not even the account holder can access it and a support team unwilling to help past a generic email. What a total fail

  • Voice messages cut off

    I really like this app but a big problem is that whenever I’m creating a voice message and a phone call comes in or my alarm goes off it cuts off the message and I lose it completely and have to start all over which is frustrating. Same thing happens when I’m listening to a voice message: if a call comes in or my alarm goes off it cuts it off and I have to start over from the beginning to listen to the whole thing again which is repetitive. I would like to request that if, when creating a voice message, it gets cut off, that the app would retain the part that has been recorded up until the interruption instead of losing it. And I would like to request that you create a slider for listening to voice messages so you can start in the middle instead of starting all over again. Thank you for an otherwise great app!
