  • What couch?!

My first run with this programme today, and I really look forward to more. I like being coached, and being able to hear a voice.

The instructions are clear. My sun is shining. I’m very glad that I found this app.
    Thank you to the inventors.🩵
  • Great

Got me off the couch and running 5 km 3-4 times a week. Lost 13 kg so far with no diet changes. Been through some injuries and was able to pick up and keep going to my goal. My partner uses it now as well and it’s great at keeping you honest.
  • Brilliant to get you on track

I’ve always been active but found I would push myself too hard too soon when I would start exercising after a dormant period and would injure myself somehow. I decided to give this app a go as I am not in a position to go to a personal trainer. I can’t express just how good this app is. Not only have I not injured myself but I have come further than ever in a short time. And if I miss a week or two it’s easy to pick a day that I’ve done before that isn’t so hard to come back into it all. Love it. M.

  • Looks good

The app seem to be a great app and would love to use it but for the cost I’m not willing to invest that much when I’m just starting out.
  • Incomplete app

I was really liking this app until I realized some basic features were missing/incomplete. 1st off, the iPhone app and AppleWatch app do not sync, if you start a run on your iPhone it doesn’t sync with your AppleWatch and you have to look at your phone to see where you’re at in your run. 2nd the AppleWatch app won’t update to week 9 like your iPhone app does. The AppleWatch app is useless if you want to continue the program past the 8 week program as it won’t go past the Great Job screen.

I have a hard time recommending this app until these issues are corrected.

  • Data Issues if you like using Apple’s Fitness App

I like the app as far as helping me pace and reminding me to get off the couch. The one thing that is driving me crazy though is the data it’s sending to my Apple Fitness app. I monitor my rings throughout the day and the data is SO skewed since I started using this app for workouts. The problem is that it sends over the full distance covered in a workout, including warm up and cooldown, but sends the time for the run intervals only, without the warm up and cooldown time. My Apple Fitness app thinks I’m running 2+ miles in the time of an athlete or someone twenty years younger than me!!
Another feature that I don’t love: Since pairing with my Apple watch, the audio alerts during the run are coming through my watch. I want them coming through my headphones but there doesn’t seem to be an option for this. I run on a busy road and struggle to hear the alerts so I find myself looking at my watch repeatedly to make sure I didn’t miss instructions.
The end of my first week’s free access is tomorrow and I’m thinking I’ll probably try a different app rather than continuing with this one.

  • Omg so good 💯💯

So I’m practising for cross country at my school, so I just got this app and started running and told me everything to do run for a bit then have a rest and walk run for a bit and have a rest and walk and then at the end, you can do a little bit of stretching so you’re not all sore and it’s really good so I think you should get it and yeah my hands are a little sweaty from holding a phone but it’s pretty easy honestly you can also play music while you’re running which I love I sing along and the neighbours can hear me. I just want in my backyard and it’s fine my neighbours dogs bark but it’s fine because I can’t hear them through my AirPods but by so good by the way.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • So motivating!

I downloaded couch to 5k to give me more structure to my gym workouts. I had the goal of coming to the gym 3 times a week and wanted to train towards a fun run that raises money for breast cancer but had absolutely no running experience. I’ve noticed a hug change in my endurance by week 4, week five I can run two 8 minute intervals without feeling like I’m going to drop dead! I combined this app with a decent warm up and cool down stretch, magnesium glycinate before bed and some knee stabilization exercises twice a week.
I’ll absolutely recommend this app to my friends, I look forward to each run and love how I can customize the difficulty as I’ve progressed.

  • Few things to fix

Firstly, this app is no good for anyone with an Apple SE watch. I either have to have th volume right up on my watch for it to tell me when to walk or I need to take my phone and headphones. Next, the app wouldn’t sync with my phone. So I started my run on my phone then had to stop it so that I could use my watch (as I didn’t bring my headphones). It would’ve made life easier if there as a vibration to notify me when to walk. I also would’ve liked to have my distance and heart rate available. I dont particularly rate this app as it does what I can set up on my Apple Watch. Minute on minute off. If you want something to tell you what specifically to do then go for it but if you need something to help with variables it’s not great.

  • Love it

I have tried a few other apps for running and this one has been the only app that allows you to evaluate the run and adjusts the next run accordingly
