Best app I’ve ever used

This app is genuinely incredible, if you struggle with disordered eating or even just bad eating habits then this is more than perfect. You are encouraged to log each meal and receive coping strategies, motivational quotes and even bonus pictures of animals as a reward for logging. These are then saved and are accessible later if you want to review and try them. I’ve found the coping skills offered on the app to be very helpful, even simple things that I hadn’t thought of before made things much easier for me. It encourages an approach of being kind and gentle to yourself which is great as I have a tendency to be hard on myself for small mistakes and give up on my goals when I have a bad day. Since I downloaded it I have made noticeable strides in my recovery and I’m feeling better and more confident every day. I wonder how this app is free!! Thank you so much to the people who made it.

Exactly what I was looking for

I have been looking for an app to help me log meals without calories for a while now, just to track behaviour and see possible patterns and ways to improve my relationship with food. I also wanted to eat more mindfully, which this app is all about. The app asks questions to make you think honestly about what you do and your goals. It focuses more on the experience of eating rather than what you eat, and your emotions toward it.

The app is more than just for food; it can track different thoughts, sleep patterns and more. This is just the perfect all in one for me, and I hope more people willing to increase their wellbeing toward food and their life in general will find this app.

This app kicks any other food log to the curb!!

This app is really awesome and very customizable. I feel like every other food log/diary cannot compare - and ones like MyFitnessPal just need to DIE because they fuel many eating disorders.

Several years ago, I dealt with bulimia in college briefly and binge eating constantly up until about November 2019 when I was fed up and truly turned to healing with intuitive eating. I weight cycled for so much of my young life that I’m sure I did metabolic damage to myself (and raised my set point weight a lot).

Now I’m learning to eat intuitively and embrace my body. I’m using this app right now during pregnancy as I am at risk for gestational diabetes due to being prediabetic. A lot of diabetes management is triggering for my eating disorder past, so this app is the perfect way did me to be gently mindful of my food and nutrition without logging numbers and every carb. I love the various questions pertaining to mood, hunger, thoughts, and so on because managing our health is so much more than what we eat!

Thanks did creating this. I’m excited to continue using it and have my GD dietitian/group coach view my logs. With this app, I don’t feel triggered to be “perfect” with numbers. I can be honest in my food logging and focus on what really matters - my health and my baby’s! Not stupid numbers that induce stress.

Simply the Best

I was recently diagnosed with BED and was really lost. I saw that someone recommended this app on a Facebook group I follow and I downloaded it expecting it to be like most of the other food tracking apps. Fortunately, it is not.

This app outlines your meals, triggers, and other things and asks you specific questions that don’t necessarily make you feel bad but more conscious. Since downloading I’ve came to terms with some of my feelings by logging them and became more aware of my eating habits.
I love the motivational aspects of the app after every meal is logged. It’s a treat to see different coping mechanisms suggested and you can pick on which ones you are willing to try in the future.
Overall 5/5. Thank you for creating this app, developers.

ARFID user

Basically no eating disorder apps have ARFID support, so when I heard about this app I was excited. It still could have some work done, no app is perfect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much it already has—thus the 5 star rating. I also know that the reason it has ARFID content is due to demand, which comforts me because it shows the creators actually care about the users’ voices. It’s really neat and I’ve found it really helpful this past month to keep me on track and hold myself accountable for things. I love that it’s so customizable too because everyone’s treatment looks different! Overall it’s a good app and I haven’t written a review for an app in years so that shows the impact it’s had for me to do so.

Best app

Honestly I have gone through so many apps, most free but have paid for some. This app is amazing. Doesn’t involve any unexpected upgrades you have to pay for, includes more then you think your going to get, meal planner, menu logs to meditation and coping skills. Will never delete this app!

Really well designed and helpful

Finding this app well designed and helpful, as well as versatile for whatever your recovery might need or look like. I’ve enjoyed a place to write down quick thoughts as my meals take place. And the inspirational messages and pics and the tools/strategies have been great reminders of tools I’ve learned along the way. Highly recommended

Transformational

I downloaded this app on the suggestion of my nutritionist, and it’s really changed the way I consider food and my relationship to it. I’m still in early days, but I love the constant focus on noticing my thoughts and emotions. The cute little cutout rewards are such a fun touch. There are still so many features that I haven’t even used yet. I feel hopeful about my future. Especially when used in combination with a talented nutritionist and psychologist, I can see how this app can contribute to sustainable, long-lasting change for the better.

Packed with features

Essential to my recovery. This is the perfect partner to a recovery program, and makes me feel fully supported where I was struggling in some blind spots before using the app. The meal log is especially helpful, along with the cute chime reminder to eat (optional of course). Every new feature reveals more support. The ONLY thing I would add is a hunger/fullness scale option in the meal log, as I find it useful to visualize that I was feeling level 8 hunger at 3pm and I’m going to feel level 2 hunger again by 6pm and not stuffed forever. I love this app and feel like I can’t fail now. Setbacks are going to happen, but I’m on the right path to recovery 🌱🦋🍴
