  • 10000 steps for nothing

    This app ask for useless docs steps and at the ent you have to do all again and with 3 hands to take the required pictures. Please hire some smart to improve UX.

  • Unreasonable

    I’ve submitted every official document to my name multiple times and they simply will not verify me. I’ve submitted me holding every document I own and they still won’t verify me. The responses are not automatic either, so there very well could be some malicious employee choosing to deny each additional request.

    Beyond frustrating, can’t imagine recommending this user experience.

  • Amazing concept

    Very good concept I use this app for the first time and I love it I’m going to use it all the time. Perfect for a person like me that only needs a car randomly
  • Not secure or reliable

    Having never done this app before I had two problems. First was a car owner trying to scam me by paying twice and making me send them all my identification. Then the second was vortex, a much higher priced option, who had a malfunctioning Drivy Open situation. I tried to call them and the number was not functioning. Tried to called Drivy, no answer for 2hours after the start of my rental. Tried to contact by web, but if you don’t have wifi it doesn’t work either. Really really disappointed and bad professional service and NO compensation. Would like to believe in apps like this but here there are too many bugs and it comes down to my time, money and the planning of a weekend trip was sabotaged by the lack of care towards the customer. Would you risk your prepaid weekend and plans on a very unprofessional company?

  • Drivers outside of EuroZone be wary

    I’m from Canada but will be in France for a few months. I’ve added every document requested (drivers license, passport, selfie) multiple times 3 weeks ago but I’m still being asked to confirm my identity. It says that drivers from outside France are accepted but that seems false. Or is there no one to manually validate the information of users?

  • False reviews and deficient cars, stay away

    Yesterday I checked in a first car on Getaround to go on holiday week-end with my family (wife and 2 kids). As I checked-in, the car was dirty, many parts broken, disgusting inside (bottles of juice, dirty papers etc), strong smell of drug and there was a pipe to take drug. When I started the car it says that there was no oil.
    I canceled the rent, called the customer service to explain the situation. They said they would proceed a refund but haven’t received any confirmation. I decided to rent a second car, 30 mins walk the first one. The car struggles to open and the owner came to help and we decided to hit the road with my family. After 45 mins, and in the middle Lane of the highway, the vehicle just stopped, engine shut down. We ended up spending the worst 45 mins with my family, in the middle of the highway before being towed by the police. Finally AA patrol came after 2 hours and we had to take a taxi back home and lost £460 worth of Airbnb, on top of the most stressful evening ever. The AA patrol confirmed that the battery wasn’t up to standard, was out of date and simply shut down, creating damages to the electronic system and then locking the car.

    What is unbelievable is that the cars you are renting are not checked, putting people’s life at risk. The first car I checked yesterday is even still available in the app…. And bad reviews are removed from the app.

  • Cannot rely on it in time of need

    The verification process is literally child’s play and unprofessional. Keeps asking for the same document over and over again even with clear and crisp images. Left me stranded in the middle of the night.
  • Be careful

    Be careful, gateround has a terrible customer service with no phone number or contact info and take directly money on your card after rentals without hearing anything you have to say. Big red flag
