  • No option for exchange on same days

One of the biggest reasons I had chosen this app over others is the shared parenting schedule. We had several miscommunications about the schedule before and I thought this app would help. Not only is it not at all user friendly for setting up an alternative weekend schedule but there is no option for a same day exchange time. Clearly this app was not made by parents who coparent because this is such a common coincidence. I wasted 300$ for something that would just cause more future miscommunications.

Update: this shouldn’t have to be said but good design shouldn’t require explaining to the user. There are multiple other pesky issues with this app that shows it was probably NEVER tested.

  • Pictures won’t load!

Pictures take forever to load. And I’m not talking minutes! They take hours! Completely useless when it comes to sharing images! Fix it or I want my money back!
  • One of the worst apps I have ever used, especially that I pay for

As someone who works in the technology field I feel incredibly disappointed with the amount of work that they have put into developing this app. It is incredibly non-user-friendly, not able to chat with my kids, send pictures easily, or keep track of messages very efficiently. Despite signing up for notifications I also never get notifications that I have messages from my ex. ReallyDisappointed and feel like there could be such a better solution out there. If you are an app developer you could totally take on this niche as a competitor. There can be so many better features and could be so much more helpful. Especially for what I am going for.

  • Would NOT recommend

The app fails at least 60% of the time. I have to delete it and reload it to log in constantly. Other times it won’t accept my saved password, or finger print. Other times it can take up to 20 min just to accept my password.

As for an app it’s very average. There is nothing special about it. I would NOT recommend.

Having so many technical issues when already opening a stressful message just adds to the issue.

  • Great app except...

The app is great, but it doesn’t help when the other parent refuses to get it. The court orders require us to only communicate through this app, she won’t get the app. There is no officer of the court or anyone to report this to. My only recourse is to file another court case to charge her with contempt.
If the court requires me to only use this app, which I have to pay for, then this app should at least find and offer a better solution then just telling me that I have to re-file for another court case. The court and this app should work together to help when one parent refuses to follow up with this specific court order. I don’t have the time or money to go back to court especially when I’m doing all I can to follow the court orders.

  • Total scam

Judges and lawyers don’t actually use this system before recommending it. Its a total waste of time and does nothing to help coparenting that a calendar and texts or emails can’t do. Journalists should really do an investigation on why its being recommended despite not actually being useful and often not even working.

  • Great for communication

Very convenient app that’s easy to use as well as being able to print out if needed. The only suggestion that I would have to improve the app would be to have response continue from the previous message just like an email. For instance, if the coparent sends me a message and I respond it shows up as two different messages in two different spots sent and inbox... Instead ofHaving their response attached to the message you’re responding to when you go back to view it. But other than that this is a great app. One of my favorite parts is how you can put in moments and expenses.

  • No more gray areas

The problem parent will not want to use this.
It’s a nightmare for anyone who does not tell the truth. My ex has not yet listed her flight schedule.
Now, the judge can see how many times I’ve asked her. The more info we add in the app, the less we’d have to text/chat. The problem parent will be exposed. Just do what you would do in a corporate setting. If you document for a living, this will be a breeze. It’s like over documenting against the trouble making employee.

  • Need notifications

This app has been great to use except for one issue. I do not get any sort of notification when new messages or anything else is received. That is pretty important especially when checking in on my daughter when she is with her dad. I have to check in the app frequently to make sure I am not missing messages and other things. Since this app was ordered by the court to be used as our communication tool I would like to have those notifications. If that does not happen by the time of my yearly renewal I will have to petition the court to use another platform.

  • Great service

I have been using OFW since 2013 & have found the system to be very useful & easy to navigate. The emails print nicely with details making it easy to include in court filings.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, I have been struggling so haven’t been able to make the annual membership payment & Mitch has been great, understanding, compassionate & has continuously given me courtesy extensions on my account. This has definitely help ease some of the financial burden.

Thank you Mitch for the great customer service!
