  • I hope there will be updates, many bugs noticed in just a few minutes of use

Just installed app, started and offered 100 points to watch a video, button would not work. Tried to link apple health app to Castlight and it just keeps kicking me out and not linking. Tried to use the chat support, waited 10 minutes, decided to cancel chat and the button would also not work. Very disappointed Pepsco is using an underdeveloped app for this.

  • Worse than Jiff and paid reviews?

I installed Castlight and it had my Garmin added from the previous Jiff app but Apple HealthKit does NOT work! This is a known issue that appears (based on previous reviews) to be an ignored issue. Support indicated through chat that it is a known issue but there is no fix.

Some pages in the app will simply not load, with a loading screen churning away for a minute+ and chat support didn’t load 3 of the 4 times attempted with an error the second time and nothing but an empty support screen three other times.

Loading times are slow for many of the app pages and content is arranged awkwardly so navigating the app can be frustrating.

I still enjoy perks for spending earned points, but even this process is more time consuming because each time you want to enter a 10 point drawing, you must do it individually. Not a big deal, but in jiff I seem to remember being able to select how many entries I wanted at one time so I didn’t have to sit through loading multiple screens for each entry. Again, not a big deal, but 10 entries now takes 10+ times longer.

Jiff was a better app in my opinion.

Many of the reviews of Castlight are also suspiciously 5 star ratings with too good to be true positive sentiments as if they were either bribed with points or not real users. Go read some and see for yourself.

  • Can’t use Apple HealthKit

The app makes it easy to add any tracker other than Apple Health/HealthKit. The tracker selector has HealthKit in without an operational link to select it, while all other trackers direct readily to the 3rd party site for login. Wife has FitBit and loves this app - I have Apple Watch and have been screwed out of over three weeks of points because it can’t connect. No good on FAQs or support either - no help yet for a very frustrating issue that calls into question the simplest claims of the app’s usability. One star and one angry user...

  • Problems since last update

Ever since the last update, the time does not display when adding activities manually until after you stop moving any of the slide bars. You can’t tell where you need to stop the slide when trying to put your time in. Then, trying to adjust it up or down is difficult because you don’t know how much further to move it one way or the other. It takes 10 times as long to manually input anything anymore because of all the back and forth and guessing where to stop.

  • Almost perfect

Love the app and how it helps organize all the benefits my company offers. I would award 5 stars if they would allow us to schedule appointments directly via the app or at least included the providers website so that I could schedule an appointment without having to call. Keep up the good work!
  • Not to my liking

This app is the most aggravating thing. I despise it and only use it because my employer has forced it on us. We used to have JIFF and it was so simple to use.
The “slide bar” you use for entering information is so touchy. It takes far too long to put info in. And many times it jumps just as you hit save. I wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t use it if we weren’t forced to.
1). I have to sign in with my password every single time I use it.
2). It doesn’t let you add your exact step count. It goes in increments of 100. And the calorie count works the same way.
3). After three days it has changed my step count to show over 10,000 steps every day even though I haven’t walked that many.
This has replaced JIFF.... not happy about that at all.

  • Bug Found

I’ve already logged in and used the app before, but suddenly now when I open the app and select my company, the animated “Loading...” pop up never closes, even though the content beneath it has finished loading (e.g. i can see my points have updated). Because all of the actual app is grayed out, I can’t actually use it. Need to fix the loading indicator, then i’ll update my review. App was great otherwise.

  • Won’t sync with CaloryGuard, no support

I was obligated to switch to Castlight for my employer’s wellness program. It offers other features that I don’t need and don’t care about; I just want it to count my points for steps and calories. I have no idea if one star is really warranted, but it fails at the one thing I want it to do.
The app says it is linked to CaloryGuard and is syncing, but no calories (and thus, no points) make it into Castlight. If it were accurate, I’d be dead by now.
Emails to support are ignored. In-app chat with support never connects. Any other app would be deleted by now, but this is designated by my employer as my only interface. Harrumph.

  • Liked Jiff Better

We were using Jiff for nearly 2 years at my company. It was not as pretty as Castlight, but it didn’t have terribly slow load times like Castlight does. It appears that Jiff was acquired by Castlight so there is no going back. It just bothers me when developers pick pretty over simplicity and speed. Waiting for apps to load content is a pet peeve of mine, so if something could be done about that, it would make this app better.

  • It works!

The app totally just works. I’m glad it’s been tested fully, and I don’t have to worry about weird bugs and stuff giving me problems. It looks nice. Is slow to load sometimes but the convenience of having everything here outweighs that.
