  • Pathetic app. Beaware if you planning to travel overseas

    Nothing is working. Need to call them during LK daytime to get things done..Growup HSBC
  • Poor features

    Very poor features compared to the other hsbc apps for the other countries or local banks.
  • Unable to have more than one profile

    The app is good but a big frustration is that I can only use it for my own profile. I have Power of Attorney over my father’s HSBC account and 3rd Party Authority over my wife’s (she also has 3rd Part Authority over my account), however I cannot use the app on my iPhone to access their details (which so am legally able to do). I am told that this is due to “security” (ie. It is apparently unsafe to use the HSBC app to access more than one profile). This is a load of nonsense. The app is either safe and secure, or it isn’t. And if it is safe (which HSBC tell me it is for my profile) then it is safe for any profile to which I am legally entitled to access (ie. My father’s or my wife’s). Come on HSBC. Stop hiding behind excuses. I don’t want to have to keep two physical dongles with me so I can access the other profiles. You should allow anyone with authority to access any profiles they are entitled to access.

  • Limited app with many bugs

    Each use of a new app, you will need to reset the password. So you can only use the app on one device. (If you set it up on your iPad, you will need to reset your password to set it up on your iPhone. You will then not be able to login to your iPad unless you reset the password.)

    Once in you a quite limited with what you can do and mostly you will need to logon to a desktop version of online banking. you can check balances and move money between accounts as well as previously saved billers But that’s the extent of it. So I guess it’s safe, but not much useability.

  • Still very poor

    It says everything about this app that the “Most Helpful” reviews date from over two years ago!
    Why have Pending and Upcoming categories? Surely they’re the same?
    Still no more green arrows to clearly identify incoming payments - only the faint green font which is difficult to differentiate, so folk with visual impairment still aren’t given any consideration!!
    And still no ability, as before, to tap on an outgoing or incoming payee for more info. And still no ability , as before, to see running account totals against each transaction. Oh, and now the app keeps reminding me that I’ve Logged Off so I have to go back - again - to the Log On screen!! There is absolutely nothing to credit this revamped app for - nothing! It’s retrograde and the developers clearly don’t care.

  • HSBC Abandoning Customer Base

    i'm upgrading my review to three stars, but it's hard to separate the quality of the app with the quality of the banking services. HSBC is jettisoning my account to Citizens and their customer service has been very slow and not too helpful. So it's hard to not reflect poorly on the app, when you want to use it for help and help comes slow. They removed their email correspondence and replaced it with chat, but the chat people are very limited in their communication skills and in the range of services they can handle. You wait a long time only for them to tell you that they're going to have to wait a little longer to speak to someone in a different division.

  • Logging in

    I have yet to use my on line banking app because every time I try to log on your technology says it doesn’t recognise my input, and I am asked to change a password. When I change details and try again I am told it’s not recognised. I was on line banking about 10 years ago on my computer and everything run fine, but when my computer failed and I tried again several years later the problems started. I have rung for assistance but being 69 I am not very good at following the instructions I am given over the phone and I get her up

    App will not open after taking a day to download.

  • The WORST banking app.

    If I could give ZERO stars I would. Sadly you have to rate
    In order to post. How hard can it be? Everything about this app is horrible. My heart sinks every single time I have to open this. Even something as simple as signing in is complicated. I get there need to be security measures in place. I have to bank internationally so right now this seems to be the best option as far as banks. But I am looking elsewhere just because of the online banking and this app. Signing in, money transfers, even checking a balance is like breaking into Fort Knox. The user experience is terrible. The fact that this has not improved despite all bad reviews shows that they don’t care about customer feedback. I now have to go into a branch to solve my issue.
