  • Brain repair

I was seeking help for ADHD and improving social connections. My interpretation of others tended towards anticipation of rejection or disapproval and I came to learn that was due to less oxygen getting to specific brain areas. At the same time I began this app daily and very quickly I navigated some big stressors ( on the scale) with grace and compassion. Years of trying to understand were suddenly revealed and seen with new eyes- the heart’s “eyes”. Vagal nerve activated and social connections accessed in ways not so accessible before. I’m going forward with this organization. They’ve opened an avenue to humanity that those of us interested in science, psychology and physiology can delight in!

  • Good App - Hardware is awful

I love heartmath (inner balance). I’ve been using it for two years. Unfortunately, the device that monitors your heart rate is very low quality and it looks like I’ll have to replace mine again soon. At $160 a pop, it’s more than I want to spend on this program. The Safe and Sound Protocol is so much more effective for that kind of price. Specifics on device trouble: The first one broke within a few weeks - the clip on it broke. It wasn’t that big of a deal, I just let it hang off of my ear. Then, after about a year, it just fell apart into pieces. I bought another one and it is already malfunctioning after only a few months of use. This one stopped turning off and then stopped working within a couple of days. I can start a session but it only lasts about a minute before there’s a detection error. Incredibly disappointing.

  • Love inner balance and heart math

Great app and I love when paired with the breathing pacer! I find it works much better for me personally than the “breathe” app on Apple Watch. No disrespect to you apple.

I’m a pharmacist who often deals with a lot of stress and anxiety. I do not like to take prescription anxiety medication. And thankfully I don’t have to because of tools like this, and others I use, to better mitigate my stress levels.

I recommend this to my patients. I even use it with my 9 year old son and it works great!

  • Needs improvement

The main function for me is the wheel, however, to check the timer I needs to swipe 2 times to find out. It would be better to have a progress bar in the same wheel to check progress.

There is also always some annoying notifications every time I plug in the device: I don’t ever want to turn on Bluetooth and I always want to give access to this device. Is there a way to make the app aware of these preference and avoid asking every time? I have not tried other features so this is only focused on a basic experience.

  • Me & My Shadow

I have been practicing inner balance using the HeartMath tools off & on for over a year and I find myself much more balanced emotionally. Today while practicing I experienced myself as both light & shadow- one falls to the depths while the other dreams of flying high. Today I realized how my shadow often feels afraid & overwhelmed so holds back. Allowing myself to know this opened up a new perspective. One in which my heart says “ It’s ok I understand & I am always here with you falling & flying” as we walked hand in hand. It felt so good to be in that space, light & free like I could walk on water💖

  • App design causes anxiety, needs new approach

I wish the designers made this app more like Calm or Stoic instead of framing the points system and challenge modes. Not being able to gain high coherence because I’m dealing with psychological and long term stress is constantly hovering over me while trying to breathe. Even the how-to videos stress the points system and sharing your results to Facebook. It doesn’t do anything to help you stop and focus on taking care of yourself, or making it so that calming down is about you, not about arbitrary points.

Maybe it’s just me but I have a difficult time using this app because of the marketing and design. It’s set up to make you want to get more points per session, gain awards, and get on the leaderboard, plus share your achievements with your faceobook friends to show off how wonderful and calm you are.

  • Merging tech and meditation

This is the ultimate biofeedback tool. And this is coming from someone who has been trying to meditate consistently for at least 10 years to no avail. As a behavioral health scientist, I’ve understood the benefits of meditation to my well-being. However, I have not had the capacity really to sit and stay until now. Heart math science gamifies meditation for me. It gives me something to focus on. Inherent goals to reach during my session. This makes it fun for me, which makes starting so much easier. It was just what I needed to get back to myself and still helps now. Highly recommend.

  • Transforming my health

We leaned about this from my husband’s nutritionist 5 years ago. Then my PT told me about it for our you g daughter. I tried it years ago and then have come back to it through Dr Joe Dispenza (phenomenal teacher of creating your future and transforming your life). I am doing his meditations twice daily and supplementing my brain and heart coherence training with HeartMath. It allows me to practice when I have small amounts of time. I often do it while waiting for an appointment. Love how I feel during and after.

  • Amazing and enlightening

I would recommend inner balance to anyone and everyone - it is a remarkable tool. I have been using heart energy for many many years but only occasionally, originally had freeze frame but had stored it away years ago during multiple Geographic moves; after some intense stress and trauma the last year and a half that had adversely affected my body, I remembered Heartmath and found Inner Balance which I have been using for a few days now. I am pleased to say that I am able to hold coherence for most of the time, and I am also stunned to find how quickly that coherence is affected when even a very quick negative thought passes through my mind, or any feeling of grief or longing. Inner balance is an outstanding tool to transform my life.

  • A rare and efficacious tool

Real science, and very good instruction from all the folks at Heart Math They give away so many videos, talks and the like. This device/app package really delivers what their science points to and what they encourage you to explore. I can feel how my intuition and connection to it is improving; my stress is minimizing and it’s actually fun and a delight to use. I highly recommend it to anyone. Very simple and approachable and very efficiently effective. L m f M in Colo
