  • Brilliant turn based strategy

    Advance Wars on the iPhone.

I wanted to write this to ensure the developers got the ammunition they need to create a sequel or continue the updates!

Thanks for a great game guys. Easy to pick up, great connectivity to iPad, and an enjoyable campaign.

Highly recommend you give it a try.
  • Boring

Cheesy humour and boring gameplay. Feels like a children’s game.
  • Clone wars

I couldn’t care less if people think it’s a clone of Nintendo based game that was released on the GBA . This one of the best games on out on the IOS , graphics are brilliant and fun to play .
  • Version 1.2: Best value turn-based strategy game that I’ve ever played

PROS: 1-No ads and no in-app purchases! Buy it once and you’ll never pay again. And nobody can buy their way to victory.

2-Terrific graphics and sound effects. Look at the screenshots - clean and uncluttered, making it easy to follow what’s going on.

3-A variety of maps, matches, and options (like powers and fog) to keep you busy.

4-Online play is where Warbits really shines - games against human opponents are easy to start and easy to follow.

HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER: 1-Put the Menu and End Turn buttons in different places - at present if you tap Menu twice by accident you would end your turn before making any moves.

2-Add player statistics which show how many games you won and lost.

3-Give players a rating based on their track record - that way we can play others who are at a similar level.

4-Add more information to the summary of the current online games, such as the map and which day it is.

5-Add the online option of co-op - two humans vs. one CPU.

6-Show the health of the infantry unit that’s in an APC (on the “Unload” button).

7-Improve the messaging system in online play - have a log of what’s written so that we don’t have to remember what we said two days ago.

8-The Options button has only one option: surrender. Either add more options or just have a Surrender button.

9-Ditch the cheesy dialogue in the single player mode.

CONCLUSION: I’ve played several strategy apps, and this is my favourite of them all.

  • Yes

Hands down the best game on iPhone. Especially as a fan of the Advanced Wars games back in the day!
  • Online Versus needs work

    Awesome game!
The Online Versus mode needs work though. There are at least a few very annoying bugs:
    - Invitation system is finicky.
    - Notifications don’t work all the time.
    - Sometimes you are forced to re-take your turn.
  • Miss Advance Wars? This is the game for YOU

I grew up on gameboy handhelds and to this day the one game I miss is the advance wars series. Warbits has a similar style and feel, but the units are distinct enough that it feels like a new game. If you have never played the series, warbits is worth your time just on the writing alone. I lost track of how many times I've laughed out loud (in the literal sense) because of the writing and I'm always sending screenshots to friends. I haven't dabbled in online play or challenge mode yet but if it's even 10% as good as the campaign then I would say this is the best value you'll find in a strategy game. My only desire is that they optimize the game for iPhone X, but that's just nitpicking at this point.

  • Really amazing!

Almost flawlessly executed turn-based strategy game. The single player campaign and challenges will provide many hours of play time. The AI is pretty good but not as good as a skilled human. The multiplayer is good but could use some improvements such as: rankings/leaderboards, better game matching system, and a better way to message other players (e.g. Being able to directly invite other players to a game). I never played Advanced wars, but was big into the browser-based Weewar back in the day. Weewar didn't have a campaign, but the multiplayer was amazing. If Warbits can improve the multiplayer, then it would set the bar for turn-based strategy battle games.

  • Advance Wars euphoria

The story is a bit silly but the gameplay reminds me of Advance Wars. I still need to see how the multiplayer is but I am enjoying it all the same.
  • Simply exceptional

Peerless among turn-based networked strategy games. If you love crushing randos in a ruthless tactical death match, this is the game for you.
