Great game, great fun -- addictive?
I love, love, love this game even more than ever with recent addition of single-player challenges. It's quickly become my favorite. Challenges me, gives me room to get better. Surprisingly good writing!
Not only is the turn based combat very well done, I was genuinely entertained by the characters and writing for the single player campaign. Definitely worth the buy.1098447

Excellent update to advanced wars concept. Plays great on iPad. Versus mode is cool though it can take a while to finish a battle.
To the developers- the only reason I rated 4 is because of a crucial mistake in the movement mechanics. I am unable to specify the exact path a unit takes. Causes some annoying strategic issues that was not an issue in the original. Perhaps you could update it so that if a user individually taps on all the desired movement squares the unit will follow that path and if user just taps on the destination square then it will take the default route.
Also, more levels in single player PLEASE! Story mode was a bit shortShow lessLavabear
A worthy successor
Captures the spirit and stays faithful to the mechanics of that long-running but long-hibernating franchise. Great single-player and functional multiplayer - I wish every dormant classic franchise got this good a mobile treatment!Twmbarre

Anticipated this game for over a year and it completely lives up to my hopes and dreams. Amazing depth and great game play. The latest update with great new levels and the new iMessage invites is icing on the cake.Sornon

I would love to see more premium titles with this level of quality gameplay. Honestly, I would even like another game like this with a different theme to it with the exact same gameplay mechanics. How about world war 2 or old west with same quality gameplay? Love it!BigDaddyCrunch

If you're a fan of the Advance Wars series like I am, and you've wanted the same gameplay on your iOS device, this game will make you happy.
I'm in it for the single-player mode. I haven't really gone into multiplayer. But for what I've played I'm very pleased. Fun and challenging.HelperMonkey
Awesome multiplayer, just like advanced wars
This game is super fun. A great multiplayer game with turns like words with friends so you don't all have to play at the same time. Game play just like the original advanced wars but without water ships. Smooth and fun.Bootshoe27
Great TBS genre!
I really like this game. They recently updated it, so it made it easier to match against other real players. Overall, an excellent strategy game, I just wish there was more players.Christopher Doryan
