Takealot Search Rngine
The search engine on Takealot is horrific. I typed in “bird reflectors”, it gave me reflection equipment for photo shoots. You can literally type in the exact make and still not get the search result but they actually sell the item anyway….just close to impossible to find it through their search engine. Whomever designed it should clean toilets for a living instead.

Appalling Service
Placed an order and never received a text to let me know it was available for pick up, have had to replace the order as they returned the stock. I followed up to extend collection and was told it was unavailable only to be able to redo my order k. site.
I was credited for the amount and have redone my order, post this delivery I will not spend money with Takealot again.

Cancelled items
I am not happy about the cancelled items of late. The delivery date keeps being postponed and eventually cancelled leaving me with the situation where my gifts are not in time. If not in stock do not advertise as in stock
Remove from carts
Most features of the app are clear and efficient but I had difficulty removing an item from the cart. I did finally find out how to do it but it should be more obvious .
Poor payment process
My wife and i tried many times to buy an air fryer, your system kept falling over at end of payment process, would suggest you have a look at it
Paying for advertised items that are out of stock
I ordered a fan and waited 2 weeks for it. 5 days before the delivery date takealot cancelled my order because the supplier did not have stock and refunded the money as credit on takealot. I have to go through a process to get it back as money in my bank account.
I regret using takealot, I will now just go to the shops to get my fan same day with no delivery fee.

Easy online shopping
User friendly! Easy adding items to Wishlist and Basket. Love the added “similar” and “other user”. The popup adds are helpful in getting new ideas. Love that there is a notification on the exact day the package arrives.
