  • What’s with the threats?

One sure way to get me to STOP visiting your restaurants is to threaten my frequent flyer miles. If you thought I wasn’t purchasing enough of your overpriced and stale offerings before, wait until I start actively boycotting. One less greasy dive on the list will certainly make choosing lunch easier. UPDATE: push notification says to “use your 8 crowns for a free whopper” but can’t get a free whopper with 8 crowns or 80… it’s 750, so might as well be 800. UPDATE: CANNOT USE THE APP! There’s a stupid minigame pop-up blocking my order. AN UNDISMISSIBLE POP-UP! The only was to get rid of it is LOAD and launch the minigame. At least that has a close gadget… that doesn’t work! Why because the minigame arbitrarily switches orientation from portrait to landscape, and the close gadget doesn’t work until the minigame loads. Now I have to wait in the parking lot for 12 minutes despite NO ONE being at the restaurant… and that includes employees. None of the other restaurants seem to have trouble hiring, and I can see a huge line chugging along at the Wendy’s across the street! Burger King giving stuff away every single day and still can’t get customers. Anybody else notice the bot response to reviews “we’re bummed you didn’t have the most ideal time. Contact us in secret so people don’t find out how terrible be are, exactly the opposite point of giving a review “

  • All these copy paste patch notes that don’t give any information

I like the app, I get great deals on orders and that’s the reason I use fast food apps. But every other time I try to use it, it will just freeze and I’m unable to click on anything. Close and reopening doesn’t solve the problem. Only thing that works is uninstalling and reinstalling. And the app is incapable of remembering login information (McDonald’s Wendy’s subway Taco Bell all remember my login info if I need to sign in). I’d be more understanding of the issue if there were detailed patch notes but looking thru the version history they all say some goofy food related slogans describing the ease of use and bug fixes. What bugs have been fixed? How is that app easier to use? It’s almost like the developers have a pseudo update queued on a timer with a copy and paste description of that update. I don’t claim to know what goes on in app development and maintenance but I know enough to know that it’s a relatively simple fix for a freezing application. And stop being lazy and tell us what’s been fixed with each update, because you keep telling us that there’s fixes and improvements but don’t elaborate on what. Kinda sounds like nothings been fixed or improved. Currently writing this while I wait for the app to reinstall for the 4th time this year.

  • Very disappointed

First time using the app and since it says Burger King I assumed that the new restaurant actually had team members that did deliveries. I ordered my food without an issue, did my modifications without an issue but when it came time for payment it did not let me review delivery charges, taxes, order total, convenience fee for using the app and then leaving a tip on top of it all. So then a $12 order becomes $19... they let me know the driver was on their way but they left the food and was gone and then notified me with a picture that they didn't knock at the door they just left it outside on the wet cement at somebody else's door. When I contacted the driver it was sorry that's where GPS led me... OK well those aren't my doors and it doesn't look like you left a full order anyways. So this went back-and-forth she never returned, Burger King's telephone number is wrong and I can leave an email with possibly being contacted within 48 hours?? No food no money. two hours later after going back-and-forth relentlessly I am only going to be issued a partial coupon!?! I don't know about anybody else but to me this driver is compared to a waitress, they should verify the order, make sure everything's there, give it to the right customer... But instead it's like dump and go because they get paid no matter what!! so I am not pleased at all and this will be the last time I use this service... pretty disappointed Burger King....

  • Be better Burger King.

So I placed an order on Doordash for a whopper, my little brother said he wanted a king jr meal, said it was gonna take an HOUR for our food to deliver (WE LITERALLY LIVE ACROSS THE ROAD FROM ONE), so I canceled the order and decided to just get BK takeout. The woman at the drive thru thought I wanted a flat burger, because my little brother said “is the earth flat?” and I said no, the employee was like “Make the earth feel flat with our flat whopper”. I said no, got a whopper and got a king jr meal as well. We walked back home, and we got to tuck in to our food, wasn’t until I noticed something off. The whopper that I had was moldy on the inside, tasted like someone crapped and peed in the burger. I threw it in the swamp right next to our house, fries were blazing hot, the drink was spoiled milk and rotten orange mixed together. My little brother said his burger tasted like spoiled chocolate milk. He told me to take a tiny chew, and he wasn’t lying. He told me to tell the doctor. I called him up, and he said “It’s temporary.” Nothing else, he just hung up. The toy my little brother got, IP-grabbed his iPad and before we knew it, a robber showed up at our house (thank god we had our windows closed and doors locked. We went and hid in a secret room under our guest bathroom. I told him “Never getting Burger King again.” Aaaaand yeah.. Just kidding this whole story is satire. Sorry for ruining your day 😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

  • Can’t cancel an order

If you make an order and need to cancel it, Burger King says they “currently don't have the ability to edit or cancel orders after they have been placed.” And will only issue you a $5.00 coupon if you ask them to cancel it. But accusing them of trying to steal the additional $7+ from me, my response got kicked up the management chain a bit and they offered to fully refund me. However, they did say in the email that it was a one-time thing. So unlike other fast food restaurants that actually let you cancel an order, Burger King actively tries to steal money from their customers.

Also, the app has options listed that the location you are ordering from does not have. The app let me order a Sprite Zero, yet the location I was picking the order up from doesn’t even carry that. Any restaurant app worth its salt will have the ability to limit your order options to thing the location you are picking up from actual has.

Furthermore, as you can see from all of the other 1-star reviews, the developer response is a canned/automated response of “We are bummed that you didn’t have the most ideal experience…” Any dev that actually cared about feedback from reviews would at least have some sort of personalized response to negative reviews.

  • The BK app rewards

I’ll make the short and brief I called I guess would appear to be corporate office or some sort of number of Burger King customer service and basically I said that when I’m using the BK app to redeem my rewards it only lets me take out one thing at a time but when I spoke to a person from the home office they were like it’s your way right away but then when I go to the Burger King in Morehead city North Carolina they’re like sorry that week they can’t help me they’re very rude and I can’t even redeem my points at all so I’m deleting this app. Here’s my second interview today’s 16 December what’s a Burger King in Swansboro North Carolina I answered the survey I went to online to answer the survey so you can get a free whopper I go to redeem my free whopper they’re talking about I gotta buy something when even though it clearly states on the Internet once you complete the survey you could go to the store and get your free whopper I go over there and they’re like oh you gotta buy something sorry can’t help you leave my store I’m done with Burger King

  • Double Hamburger

It would be great to have an option for a double HAMburger in the app. I always have to order a Double Cheeseburger & then ask for them to remove the cheese once I’m at the order window. There’s no option to remove it in the app. I’ve even tried selecting a hamburger and then adding a second patty, but it doesn’t give the option there. I’ve been using the app for a little over a year now, I know it seems small but it’s a but inconvenient because there’s always a chance the restaurant will add the cheese on accident since that’s how the order comes through.

It would also be nice if our cards aren’t charged until the restaurant processes the order. There have been several times where a restaurant will be closed (during hours when it states it’s open) but because I’ve placed an order, I’ve had to reach out for a refund.

Otherwise, I enjoy using the app and I love the perks and offers!

  • Too lazy to be working

We just stopped at the Travel Plaza on I-77 in WV and wanted to get a burger. To start with, the credit card machine was down so it was cash only. The guy at the cash register looked to be in his late 30’s or early 40’s and acted like he was too lazy to work. He literally laid on the cash register and when he wasnt at the cash register he kept his hands in his pockets which is gross considering he was then handling food. We ordered 3 Jr Cheeseburgers with cheese, one with no onions. When we got to the car, the one with no onions also had no cheese. I took it back, but because there were 2 people ahead of me and the cashier moved like a turtle, I asked them to remake it so it would be warm. Good thing I decided I had better check it before I left the restaurant because they still failed to put cheese on it. I would be ashamed if I were people to ask for $15 an hour and not be willing to give my employer a good days work.

  • Refunds Need Work

I ordered through the app from pick up. We ordered two original chickens which is about all my wife eats from there. Pull up in the drive through and they are out. Of course they can’t refund there, so I have to go through the app. I put in my request and all I get is a lousy 15 dollar coupon. We barely eat there as is, so now I’m forced to still use the money there. I was told because my purchase was under 15 all they can do is a coupon. That seems shady. If all someone has is a few bucks and they pay for it then they are basically stuck either asking for something else or have to deal with it. That isn’t right and there needs to be a change. Until then I’ll use the coupon and never use the app or eat there again.

Edit: what the response from BK below shows is they don’t really read these reviews. When going through the app for a refund you have to contact support. If your amount is under $15 they won’t give you your money back. That is exactly my issue. Support is useless. Give your stores and support refund capabilities!

  • WORST FOOD APP EVER

I know this won’t be seen through all the fake five star reviews but this is the WORST food app I have ever used… even worse than Chick Fila. It doesn’t tell you until after you pay for your order that the coupon/deal you used wasn’t for the location you went to, DON’T SHOW THE COUPON IF IT’S NOT AVAILABLE AT THAT LOCATION, I lost $22 on that order. When I complained they gave me a $10 off coupon I could only use through the app. I used it last night with a gift card and it didn’t take $10 off instead it charged me $1 to use the support coupon… ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? I have screenshots of my receipt showing this. When I complained about that all they said was Sorry here’s some bk points you can only use through the app— WHAT PART OF I’LL NEVER USE THIS APP AGAIN DON’T YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND. And the workers say that they have no control over the app and they can’t fix anything for you when the app messes up and that they’re constantly being yelled at by customers because there’s always an issue when someone uses the app to order. The people who chose this app and its programmers should look into whoever did McDonald’s app because theirs is flawless and if something messes up the restaurant is able to fix it themselves. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE MONEY!!!!!!! I don’t think I will go back to Burger King simply because of my experiences with the app and the horrible customer service that comes with it
