The worst banking app
Have had this bank for years and deeply regret picking it. Trying to stick with it so we can raise credit and have the ability to get loans in the future but this bank is ruining that. When you bring up the fact that this bank app is garbage and doesn’t actually track purchases everyone says “you need to write down your transactions” no actually the literal point of a banking app is to TRACK your funds and spending. If I swipe my card and it gets approved it’s SUPPOSED to immediately track that on the banking app but instead a simple gas station purchase can take days to show up and don’t get me started on Sunday. The app doesn’t even work on Sunday EVER! On Sunday I’ll know I only have $100 and the app will say we either have $500 or -$300 but it’s never what our actual balance is. This is my second negative review as my first one was removed over a year ago. We are constantly overdrawn out of nowhere and I am trying hard to convince my husband to switch banks before this one ruins us. Great employees at the actual bank but this app is absolute garbage and has lacked ANY improvement in 3 years despite the numerous 1 star reviews. Someone help us all because lord knows we are all overdrawn

Relatively easy for me
I don’t do too much but have been able to navigate my bill pay . Like that I receive an email once the payment made. TCF didn’t do that. Don’t change again please. I was with Sagelink they changed, Chemical, they changed twice now! I’m tired, you must be too. Thanks for making it good for me at least.👏🏻

Once set up, this is great
I didn’t mind the change in bank but was worried about setting up my online options so that I could travel south this winter and remain on top of by banking. I have found the Horizon Bank app very easy to use and so very helpful for my needs. My account’s activities are always up to date and I feel “peaceful” now in my traveling. Thank you

Upgrade to Horizon banking
Im very unsatisfied that the bank didnt allow me to log on and pasted a change immediately without any warning! Next time email people and give them at least a couple weeks notice of an upgrade. Dont just lock them out! Im a driver over the road and if I don’t have my password on me i could get stranded with no access to money if my account doesn’t show everything when i log on! Some of my deposits cost for same day deposits and I wouldn’t have to do that if i had enough time to wait a few days. STOP doing that

Accuracy Issues
Some of the features are great like check deposit, transferring funds, automating payments or transfers. The biggest draw CB back is every night after 9pm you can’t transfer money and it doesn’t show accurate balances! We have gotten stuck several times out because of this issue. It’s extremely frustrating. I don’t know why it does this, but if it’s due to an update, only do an update once a month at like midnight for an hour or so like other apps do.

Horizon Mobile App Review
I feel this app needs a lot of work personally. The menu functions are cumbersome and hard to find and use some. The mobile check deposit feature is sorely lacking from the way Salin Bank used to do mobile deposits and take EXTREMELY less time to process. I’m hoping Horizon will look at the positive features that Salin Bank offered that customers liked and will implement them into their tools for customer service. I’m afraid that taking 2 days to process a mobile deposit (at least for me) is totally unacceptable and I’ll be seeking another institution that can process on a more timely basis if that particular feature isn’t improved.
Also would like to see this this app able to be used in landscape mode.

Worse Than Others
Not a fan really. I like other banks apps that were actual apps and not web based apps. With my Chase business account I can swipe my card, open my app, and see the charge. IMMEDIATELY I know my accounts updated balance.
Horizons app takes a few hours or a day or two depending where you go. The check deposit doesn’t work. It tells you that you have to be on the mobile app... when you are on the mobile app...
The load time is extremely slow. It’s just a very old app.

User Friendly Banking App
Generally easy to use. I would like to be able to print statements from the app (just as Salin Bank did). There are transactions notices available. However, I would also like to receive the transaction notices with the transaction amount and date, at set up in my profile (just as Salin Bank).

Too bad I can give this place a ZERO start review. Because I defiantly would. The real time of my account is ridiculous. Often so inaccurate that I don’t even bother to look at it until the next day or even days later because nothing is ever on there that should be. I’ve had it say anything from my balance being the exact same number for months back .....to my account being thousands in the negative but says the “available” is positive. Not sure what happened once this banks software switched from Salin bank to horizon. But maybe you guys should contact the tech team of salin and have them recode your software or update it. Because they had real time balances and transactions. Regardless of how long it took the retailer to post my transactions. And the most frustrating thing is that you “maintenance” your website or app every couple Sunday’s it seems ..... yet nothing changes for the better. I used to recommend this bank. That is no longer the case. I actually try to deter people from using it due to the fact that the online is so messed up and inaccurate that it’s not worth having a place to see your balance and transactions if they’re NEVER right! You guys should defiantly figure this out because other than than ( which that is like 70% of banking these days) this bank is fairly decent bank.

Poorly designed
This app is the worst. My “available” and “current” balances are always off. My pending purchases take days to show up. This bank has had updates for the app every Sunday for over a month now. It makes it impossible to know your balance.
I have also tired to use the “mobile deposit” feature more than once. Every time I try to open it, it says “Please use mobile deposit in the app.” I am literally using the app.
I would not recommend this app or this bank to anyone.
