This app/system are trash. The litter is stored in a cardboard box behind the unit, and the app is beyond useless.
The scheduled function never worked, you can schedule whatever you like, it doesn’t activate unless you manually tell it to clean.
The app itself barely connects, and after a couple weeks just stopped connecting altogether, with the very helpful message “please check your mobile phone network”. Well, I’m checking it by posting this review.
Save yourselves the trouble and cost, and just get a litter robot that works.Show lessDertij
Unresponsive Developers
There really is no way to get in touch with the developers that I can see. The app is basic, which is fine, with one exception. You can’t control the notifications on this. Notifications are either on or off. What you need to be able to do is tell it what notifications you want. The Cleaning Record notification is absolutely useless, yet there’s no way to turn that off. Guess that’s what you can expect from a Kickstarter product that doesn’t have any support afterwards.Show lessazphotomatt
Impossible to navigate
I’ve had this litter box about six months now and the box itself is great. Thank the stars it will continue to scoop without being on wifi because the app is an actual nightmare. We have set our wifi to 2.4 ghz and even tried connecting via a hotspot as recommended by the near useless instructions. I also have the litter robot 4 and its app is 1000x superior and has never given me issues. For that reason alone, skip this product.Show lessKat86754
So Frustrated!
Love this machine and how it works. With that said, this app is horrible and by the rest of the reviews I see, I’m not alone with this assessment. I cannot even connect at this point and trying to get support has been difficult. I’ll update my review if someone would contact me and fix this once and for all!Show lessMulls67

I have no issues with connection to this box. I love the litter box I have 9 cats and have tried many. Yes could the app have better viewing options sure, but I get notifications while at work at home all the time. I have never lost connection with the box and never had the app crash.stockella

So-the litter 😻box is great! The app is….well behind the times. If they were going to leave the app as a straggler, why can’t they reset the times the box has run on the box readout each day as well?
The app stays connected from 12-36 hours before it has to be reset and reconnected. It needs a 2.4g network, which I have and I even removed the password in hopes that would help. And vpn. Nope. It’s as though the error message appears even though it is connected.
The app really isn’t filled out or setup beyond offering you their email or recommending contacting them on ig or fb. That annoyance withstanding, the box is great-a modern *quiet* marvel! Just wish it would stay connected so I could click clean or see the amount of times it has run in one day, as opposed to total amount of run times showing on the box display.
The simplistic nature of the app isn’t the issue, that is fine for me. The issue is having an app that is not tended to nor updated, where the basic functions don’t work because they disconnect.
I understand apps are expensive to maintain - maybe a disclaimer to set expectations upfront would help? Would love the basic functions to work on this app!Show lessNewFanGirl

I’m guessing all the bad reviews were for older versions, because I’ve found everything to work nicely. Little buggy (like everything showing up in Chinese until I restarted), but overall does everything it says it will. And loving the machine itself! Just wish the part of the cycle when the flap is open was a lot shorter. 🤢Show lessPappyiii
Worse App you could hope for
The application for this product is horrible.
It doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to at all.
It keeps telling you the waste bin is full all the time no matter if you clean it or not.
Keeps disconnecting from the machine so you have to pair with it again and again.
The settings where you can choose how it operates never worked for me and it seems to be getting worse by the day as far as getting disconnected and giving me false diagnostics or usage.
For now the mechanical part works on the machine, but given the fact that nothing else works I have not faith that it will keep working for long.

Litter box not pairing
This is more about the box than the app. I will say the app is basic and doesn’t function well. The box was wonderful and would actually pair with the box until the last two firmware updates… now the box loses connectivity with the app constantly and sometimes won’t even go into pairing mode to reconnect. This makes it hard to make sure it’s cycling and to monitor my cats… business.Show lessBrittmorg
App connects to unit but no functions work
I’m able to connect the app to the Popur unit but none of the functions such as changing the unit into manual mode, changing the wait timer or the display actually update the Popur unit. The app receives the correct incremented cycle count from the unit but no changes l make in the app ever make it into the unit. IPhone12 ios16.4.1. No idea what the firmware version on the unit is as the app will not let me perform a firmware update to check. So the app is useless apart from notifying me that the cat has used the Popur.
UPDATE: Issues with App have been resolved, have been able to update the firmware via the App and all is working well.Show lessPopurOwnerInOz
