  • Amazing!

This might actually be my new favorite fitness app. I love that I can listen to my own music while working out (some apps won’t let you). I love that I can track my cycle in this app & it tracks what phase I am in. I love that I can track my food without being forced to be on a meal plan. I love love LOVE that I can switch exercises if I don’t have equipment needed or if something is too difficult for me still. This is an all around amazing app. Only thing I wish is that it would automatically track on my Apple Watch. But it’s not a big deal that it doesn’t, I’ll just have to record it separately before I start. 😁
  • Awesome all-in-one fitness app

The Grounds app provides a great variety of workouts to follow along with for any fitness level, at home or at the gym.
Trainers show via videos how to do every exercise. Multiple trainers to choose from. Written descriptions are included for each exercise also, and a timer to count for you…there are no excuses to be found now!
AND the app allows you to scan barcodes on foods to track calories, has adjustable macros (protein, fats, carbs), water tracking, period tracking…like I said - an awesome all-in-one fitness app!!
    Great job on this app!!
  • Truly the ALL IN ONE app 🙌🏻

I’ve tried numerous fitness apps over the years, but GROUNDS truly stands out! As a part of the exclusive women’s fitness community, I feel genuinely motivated every day. The app offers a vast array of challenging yet attainable workout programs that cater to my ever-evolving fitness goals. Whether you’re training at home or the gym, there’s something for everyone. What I adore the most is the holistic approach GROUNDS adopts, ensuring a seamless blend of strength, conditioning, and even low-impact training.

The detailed exercise descriptions, coupled with video demonstrations, are a game-changer, especially for beginners. And the integration with Apple Health? Perfect for keeping all my health stats in one place. Connecting with like-minded women globally, sharing achievements, and drawing inspiration from certified trainers like Heidi and Bailey has transformed my fitness journey. Highly recommended for those who seek a well-rounded fitness experience!
  • Kara’s ForeverFIT

Not only has this app been everything I’ve been looking for AND more. I have been excited to see some new splits that have gotten me out of my comfort zone. I am 21 and have been doing weightlifting since my senior year of high school now a senior in college and I haven’t had a challenge bring my back to my weightlifting days until this. Kara is an excellent trainer and I cannot wait to see what else she will throw my way. KEEP HER!!

In regards to the app, it predicted my period perfectly. Better than my period app and better then my period/birth control app. I stopped using both apps and now solely use grounds.

The community is great, especially if you like the style of discord. I would like an option to direct message I think that could build a stronger sense of community but overall I’m
    nowhere complaining.

If you’re hesitant, make the purchase. It’s worth it.
  • So far better than any app I’ve used before!

Honestly I’ve payed for a couple different work out programs before and they have always been hour long work outs. I just can’t do that anymore I love that it has so many options for work outs that don’t take up so much time in a day. As a mom it’s something I’ve been looking for in a program and I’m so happy to have found one finally!
  • Not worth it

I paid for the introductory rate only to realize the app is like a peloton app that did not allow you to enter your personal workouts or create plans for yourself amongst other things. I reached out within minutes of purchases after realizing this doesn’t encompass anything I need in a fitness app, bad UI/UX experience and they told me they don’t give refunds even though I had cancelled and deleted my membership already. I’m out $70+ and will have to dispute with my bank. This is poor business practices that they’re stating they can’t refund due to their terms and conditions…even when I reached out within minutes after purchase. Unfair and don’t support this. I wouldn’t expect this from a company Heidi created. It’s not like I messaged you after hours or days or weeks after having the app, it was minutes.

  • Here for it!

I want to start off by saying I love Heidi and I’m absolutely going to keep using the app! It’s a really great start for just being launched. I love the food logging feature, it’s comprehensive and a nice addition compared to other fitness apps I’ve used. This is the first one that really makes me feel like I can stop using other food logging apps. The workouts are great too and a lot of options to pick from.

Some things I’d really like to see though:
    1. Make the timer run in the background of the app! I don’t want to have to keep the app open the whole time.
    2. Apple Watch functionality.
    3. The timer for the actual workout set is too short. I don’t like feeling like I’m rushing through the movement. Please make a feature to toggle off the exercise timer so I can go at my own pace! The timer also doesn’t allow for setting up exercises so I have to manually pause it.
    4. Add feature to adjust # of reps. With progressive overload I’m not always going to be able to hit 12 reps of something before failure, allow the user to adjust BOTH weight and reps.
    5. I thought we were able to adjust exercises for modification? I don’t see an option to do this and I’m pregnant so it’s important I can modify.
    6. Why can’t I see an overview of the workout once I start it? All I can see is the set and the next rest set. It’s nice to know what’s coming up so I can start preparing to set up that exercise.
  • Great but needs a few tweaks

Loving Grounds so far but am looking forward to some of the fixes that are currently being promised, like the ability to remove workouts from the calendar and a section for progress photos. Would also love to see more core/ab workouts added. I love the nutrition tab and the types of exercises included in the workouts though! The branding/aesthetic is really nice too, and I like that there are multiple video views of each exercise.
  • Intuitive App, Excellent Workouts

If you’re looking for a lifting app that doesn’t make you feel like you have to Parkour for a warm up but still actually works you out, this is it. The workout format is great and the exercises themselves make you feel stronger (and not just confused and sweaty). The water, food, and cycle trackers are also fabulous. It’s nice to have all the information right there on the app’s home page.
  • A few critiques

Overall for the first launch the app is not bad. I'm not new to weightlifting so I can say that the programs do seem to be well organized and it is quite user-friendly. I do wish they had incorporated warm ups in the workouts for beginners, I can imagine someone new to this attempting to get through some of the more advanced workouts and not getting the full benefit or being set up for optimal success.

I also question how they calculated the estimated calories burned for their workouts. I understand fitness watches aren't always the most accurate at measuring this, but I don't burn even half of what they project on the workouts. I don't like it's likely many people are going to burn 400 calories on a 45 minute moderate upper body day.
